Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent of parental contribution to student affairs programs at SMP Negeri 1 Tirtomoyo. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method to comprehensively illustrate the level of parental contribution in student affairs management. Data were collected through interviews with the school principal, vice principal in charge of student affairs, homeroom teachers, and representatives of students' parents, along with observations of student affairs activities and document analysis. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and verification to derive accurate conclusions. The validity of the data was ensured through source and technical triangulation. The findings indicate that parental contribution covers five main aspects: 1) Enhancing students' knowledge and motivation, 2) Developing human resources, 3) Increasing social awareness, 4) Encouraging students' interests and talents, and 5) Supporting students' achievements. Parents actively participate in motivating their children, supporting extracurricular activities, and contributing to school funding and promotion through social media. The high level of parental contribution positively affects students' academic performance and the school's reputation, ultimately leading to an increase in student enrollment during the PPDB (new student admission process).

Abstract

This research aims to describe the cultivation of Islamic values in realizing religious character in SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta through the implementation of Islamic activities. Data were collected using qualitative research methods through interviews with Islamic religious teachers and then students, observation and document studies. The results of the study show that the cultivation of Islamic values in Islamic activities at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta has an impact that leads to the formation of students' religious character. This can be seen from the active participation of students in Islamic activities at school and discipline in worship. The conclusion based on the research is that Islamic activities that are carried out in a structured and sustainable manner are a means for students to be able to grow Islamic values and form a generation that has a religious character. Future prospects schools need to innovate in carrying out Islamic activities so that they attract more Muslim students and improve facilities for the implementation of activities so that they can continue to improve. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide insight into the cultivation of Islamic values in school activities so that it can realize religious character in students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the habituation model in forming the religious character of students at SMP Negeri 1 Gatak. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers, the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, and students, and strengthened by direct observation in the school environment. The results of the study indicate that SMP Negeri 1 Gatak applies various models of religious habituation, such as Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing (BTA) activities, Friday morning recitation, congregational prayers, use of amaliyah books, and habituation of discipline and tolerance. All of these activities involve the active role of teachers, student organizations (Pionir/Rohis), and the entire school community, so that a religious and conducive learning environment is created. Although there are challenges in optimizing religious character, the innovation and collaboration carried out by the school prove that religious character education can be implemented effectively in public schools through a structured and sustainable habituation model.
