Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of teachers loving kindness on the moral action of junior high school Buddhist students in Central Java. This ex-post facto study involved a total sample of 396 students out of the total population of 732 Budhist students  in  Central  Java.  A  questionnaire  was  used  to  collect  the  data  in  this  study. Regression analysis was used to find out the effect of teachers loving kindness on students moral action. The results show that: (1) there is a positive and significant impact of the teachers loving kindness perception on the moral action junior high school Buddhist students in Central Java; (2) there is a positive correlation between teacher loving kindness perception (X) and students moral action (Y) (r= .317); (3) the contribution of teachers loving kindness on the moral action for junior high school Buddhist students in Central Java was 0.101 or 10.1%; (4) the regression equation is Y = 50,202 + 0,237X.Keywords: teachers loving kindness, moral action, Buddhist students PERAN CINTA KASIH GURU SEBAGAI PREDIKTOR TINDAKAN MORAL SISWA BUDDHIS SMP DI JAWA TENGAHAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan rekomendasi tentang peran cinta kasih guru sebagai prediktor tindakan moral diswa Buddhis SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan ex-post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Buddhis SMP di Jawa Tengah yang berjumlah 732 siswa dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 396 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling yang berasal dari 21 SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakuan  dengan  menggunakan  angket.  Validitas  instrumen  yang  dihitung lewat  korelasi produk moment dinyatakan valid dengan indeks antara 0,300-0,788, sedang reliabilitas yang dihitung lewat teknik alpha Cronbach diperoleh indeks 0,932. Data dianalisis dengan teknik regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan persepsi tentang peran cinta kasih guru sebagai prediktor tindakan moral siswa Buddhis SMP di Jawa Tengah; (2) terdapat korelasi antara cinta kasih guru (X) dengan tindakan moral siswa (Y) sebesar 0,317  yang berada pada kategori  rendah; (3) sumbangan peran  cinta kasih guru terhadap tindakan moral siswa Buddhis SMP di Jawa Tengah sebesar 0,101 atau 10,1%; (4) persamaan garis regresi Y= 50,202 + 0,237X.Kata Kunci: cinta kasih guru, tindakan moral siswa Buddhis

Abstract

Penelitian motivasi menjadi guru sekolah minggu Buddhis (SMB) di vihāra-vihāra Kecamatan Getasan-Kabupaten Semarang dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terbatasnya pemuda yang mau menjadi guru SMB, kurangnya dukungan pengurus vihāra dan orangtua pada kegiatan SMB, kurangnya penghargaan dan perhatian pada guru SMB, dan masih terbatasnya guru SMB dalam suatu vihāra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi menjadi guru SMB di vihāra-vihāra Kecamatan Getasan-Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data yaitu melakukan pengamatan terusmenerus, triangulasi, dan membicarakan dengan rekan sejawat. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data model interaktif, terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan: (1) peduli membina SMB, semangat mengabdi, dan keinginan untuk melestarikan Dhamma, (2) kesungguhan dalam menjadi guru sekolah Minggu Buddhis melalui belajar sebelum mengajar, aktif mengajar SMB, melakukan evaluasi SMB, serta variasi kegiatan SMB, (3) kondisi di masyarakat yang mendorong subjek menjadi guru SMB adalah dukungan dari orang tua dan pengurus vihāra yang masih kurang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengunaan model student team achivement division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan sikap sosial siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas 7A SMP Negeri 2 Sumowono dengan jumlah 3 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini mengunakan penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data yaitu, lembar observasi, penilaian diri siswa, dan lembar observasi untuk guru. Keabsahan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari validitas demokratik, hasil, proses, katalitik, dan dialogis dan dengan menyajikan data apa adanya. Teknik analisis data yaitu teknik analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian berupa peningkatan model STAD oleh guru meningkat sebesar 21,05%. Sikap sosial siswa sebesar 66,83% pada tahap sikap sosial siswa sesuai harapan di siklus I dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 83,07% pada tahap sikap sosial sangat baik. Kata Kunci: Sikap Sosial Siswa, Model STAD, Pendidikan Agama Buddha. The data analysis technique is a descriptive quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of the research are the improvement of STAD model by the teacher increased by 21,05%. The students social attitudes were 66,83% at the stage of social attitudes according to expectations in cycle I and increased in cycle II by 83,07 at very good social attitudes. Abstract

The background of this research is the phenomenon of sex education among Buddhist parents. The objective of this research is to describe the awareness of Buddhist parents in Getasan District, Semarang Regency, concerning sex education for elementary school-age children. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. The subjects consist of Buddhist parents in Getasan District, Semarang Regency, who had elementary school-age children aged 6–12 years. The method of data collection is done by using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data display, and verification, as well as drawing conclusions. The importance of sex education for elementary school-age children encompasses aspects such as education based on learning outcomes and parental awareness, understanding grounded in explanations of the anatomy and reproductive organs of both genders, knowledge based on the impact of sexual harassment and violence, the inculcation of love and adherence to five moral rules in children, and measures for preventing and addressing sexual violence; (2) Influential factors on Buddhist parents concerning sex education for elementary school-age children include parental knowledge and child-rearing approaches, parental role modeling, family financial status, peer influence, and community dynamics; (3) The role of Buddhist parents in sex education for elementary school-age children involves guiding children to perform virtuous deeds, being a child’s friends, serving as role models, explaining methods to prevent violence against children through the implementation of the five precepts (moral code of conduct) and shame of evil and fear of its result, loving-kindness and the noble eightfold path, as well as highlighting the significance of Buddhist values for the well-being of children.

Abstract

The quality of religious moderation in Indonesia is experiencing degradation and a solution needs to be provided. One way to overcome this problem is through internalizing the value of religious moderation. This research is to analyze the benefits of internalizing the value of religious moderation in Buddhist religious education (PAB) in Semarang Regency Junior High Schools. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this research consisted of nine informants consisting of five teachers and four students and were selected based on their role in internalizing the value of religious moderation through Buddhist education. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation, documentation and document study, then the data was analyzed qualitatively using the steps: data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity is carried out with diligence and triangulation. The research results obtained show that: (1) The educational approach to the value of religious moderation is moral education which produces the ability to appreciate differences in congregations and religions, respect diversity, not be fanatical, live in harmony, tolerance, morals, love, compassion, share happiness, and have a balanced mind; (2) The process of forming religious moderation values through PAB consists of two domains, namely learning methods and material integration; (3) Education on the value of religious moderation in the integration of PAB learning consists of cognitive, affective and psychomoral impacts; and (4) Education in the value of religious moderation as an effort to build character consisting of routine practice through namakkārapatha, samādhi, devotional service and community service. As a focal point, internalizing the value of religious moderation through Buddhist religious education is very necessary in order to maintain the unity and unity of the Indonesian nation whose motto is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
