Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of making and the effectiveness of the Jātaka puppet video as a learning medium for Adhi Sekha (early children education) students at Adhicitta Buddhist Sunday School (BSS). The method used in this research is Research and Development using the ADDIE approach (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data credibility is assessed by transferability, dependability, confirmability, and logical validity. Data analysis techniques used for qualitative data are reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Meanwhile, the quantitative data were analyzed by using descriptive percentage theory. Based on the results of the product feasibility assessment from the experts, the Jātaka puppet video got a feasibility percentage of 89% from material experts and 91.5% from puppet experts. The responses from BSS teachers and students were also very good when field trials were conducted. With this percentage, it can be said that the Jātaka puppet video media is appropriate to be used as a medium for BSS learning at the ECE level at Adhicitta Buddhist Sunday School.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the process of creating a google sites website to produce an online learning media that will help BME learning activities at the junior high school level. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. Data credibility was assessed by transferability, dependability, confirmability, and logical validity. Data analysis techniques used for qualitative data are reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive percentage theory. The product validation from the material experts obtained a feasibility percentage of 91.1% and from the website, the media expert obtained a feasibility percentage of 71.8%. The results of the user trial, namely the BME teachers and five Buddhist class VIII students also gave good responses to the product developed. The BME teachers conveyed that the learning media products based on the google sites were very effective. Some students also gave positive responses, that this learning media is quite interesting and more interactive.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of developing LKPD in the learning of Buddhist and Moral Education in Class IV Elementary School. The method used in this study is a research and development with an Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) approach. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data credibility is assessed by transferability, dependability, confirmability, and logical validity. The data analysis techniques used for qualitative data are data collection, data reduction, presentation, decision making, and verification. The quantitative data were analyzed by a descriptive percentage theory. Based on the assessments of the three material experts, LKPD obtained a percentage of 93,75% in the good and decent categories. The average percentage gain from the two media experts was 77,5% with good and decent categories. The average percentage of prospective users, namely fourth grade students at SD Negeri Wates 01 was 91,25% in the good category, while the percentage of grade IV students at SD Negeri 01 Kenteng is 88,77% which indicates that it was in the good category. The percentage gain from practitioners who have used LKPD PAB is 91,25 % with good and decent categories. Based on the result of the validation and implementation tests from the experts, and pracititioners, it is shown that the PAB LKPD was feasible to be used as a teaching material.

Abstract

The purpose of study is to obtain an overview of Tunas Dharma Karawang High School Students’ self-management regarding studying. The research was conducted using decriptive qualitative method. Research data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data was tested by diligent observation, triangulation, and member check. Data analysis is based on the Miles & Huberman model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as verification. The results of this research indicate that self-management in the learning of Buddhist students at SMA Tunas Dharma Karawang at the learning planning stage of students determines goals and plans learning strategy activities to be carried out. According to Buddhists, this is included in the four inner strengths (iddhipada), namely interest and satisfaction in doing the work. something that is the main factor in students to achieve maximum desired results (chanda). A passionate effort to achieve success in learning (viriya). Carrying out efforts to achieve success diligently and tenaciously by not abandoning or postponing the efforts being undertaken (citta). In carrying out learning, students pay attention to the lesson material, for example summarizing the lesson material, marking important sentences, seeking help from teachers and friends to understand the material (chanda and viriya). In learning evaluations, students evaluate their learning process and feel that their achievements or bad grades are caused by not being optimal in learning (vimaṁsā).

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis perilaku akademis mahasiswa STAB Syailendra menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dari tujuh mahasiswa dan satu dosen. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku akademis mahasiswa mencakup keaktifan di kelas, manajemen waktu, kerja sama, serta pengelolaan stres dan motivasi, yang didukung oleh empat kekuatan batin (iddhipāda) dalam ajaran Buddha. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan iddhipāda dan nilai-nilai Buddhis lainnya untuk meningkatkan kualitas akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

The background of this research is the fading of Pancasila character values in Indonesian students, causing various problems. The lack of character values related to students in Buddhism, especially in the Gandavyuha Sutra. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship and contribution of the Gandavyuha Sutra to the profile of Pancasila students in the world of education. This study uses the literature study method (synthesise checklist), which consists of preliminary, advanced, and final syntheses, taking into account the elements of text, context, and discourse. The analysis component of this study includes elements of text, context, and discourse. The interrelatedness of these three components forms a single entity that contributes the character values of the Gandavyuha Sutra to the Pancasila Student Profile. The results of this study are that the Pancasila Student Profile is a programme created by the government to shape student character with the spirit of Pancasila. There are character values in the Gandavyuha Sutra that are related to the Pancasila Student Profile, including the values of faith, tolerance, interaction and social care, social solidarity, compassion, help, self-motivation, strong determination, enthusiasm, wisdom, and creativity. These interrelated character values also contribute in terms of traits, attitudes, and actions so that they can be applied to school learning activities such as projects to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile. These activities include extracurricular activities, teaching and learning activities, school routine activities, and other school environment activities.

Abstract

The aim of this research to determine the effect of the pedagogical and teachers' personality competencies on the formation of loving-kindness character among Buddhist junior high school students in Temanggung regency. The research method used ex post facto. The research samples totaling 156 students taken by simple random sampling. The data collection used questionnaires. The validity instrument is calculated using product moment formula and the reliability test uses Alpa Cronbach formula. Data research was analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the research showed there was a significant influence in the formation of loving-kindness character among junior high school Buddhist students in Temanggung regency through pedagogical competence and personality of the teacher. This is indicated by sig value. 0,00 < 0,05. The magnitude contribution pedagogical competence and teacher's personality to the formation of loving-kindness is 20,8% and the regression line equation is Y = 14.588 + 0.476 X1 + 0.424 X2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik dan kepribadian guru terhadap pembentukan karakter cinta kasih peserta didik Buddhis SMP di Kabupaten Temanggung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ex-post facto. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 156 peserta didik yang diambil dengan simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket. Validitas instrumen dihitung menggunakan rumus product moment dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpa Cronbach. Data penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan dalam pembentukan karakter cinta kasih peserta didik Buddhis SMP di Kabupaten Temanggung melalui kompetensi pedagogik dan kepribadian guru. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai sig. 0,00 < 0,05. Besarnya sumbangan dari kompetensi pedagogik dan kepribadian guru terhadap pembentukan karakter cinta kasih sebesar 20,8% dan persamaan garis regresinya Y = 14,588 + 0,476 X1 + 0,424 X2.

Abstract

. Penelitian ini mengkaji desentralisasi pengelolaan pendidikan menengah di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada pengalihan kewenangan dari pemerintah kabupaten/kota ke pemerintah provinsi. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan pemerataan akses pendidikan serta efisiensi administrasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah systematic literature review dengan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Sebanyak 31 dokumen relevan yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2015 hingga 2024 dianalisis, diperoleh dari basis data utama seperti Scopus, Google Scholar, dan Garuda. Kajian ini mengeksplorasi variasi implementasi kebijakan antarwilayah, dampaknya terhadap distribusi sumber daya, serta mekanisme koordinasi antarpemerintah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa di provinsi dengan kapasitas administratif yang kuat, desentralisasi berdampak positif terhadap pelatihan guru, alokasi sumber daya, dan perencanaan infrastruktur. Sebaliknya, di wilayah dengan kesiapan rendah, desentralisasi justru memperburuk ketimpangan akibat keterlambatan pendanaan, distribusi guru berkualitas yang tidak merata, serta keterbatasan fasilitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kebijakan yang adaptif, penguatan kapasitas daerah, serta tata kelola pendidikan yang terintegrasi. Secara teoritis, studi ini memperluas kerangka analisis desentralisasi dalam konteks pendidikan menengah. Secara praktis, temuan ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi perancang kebijakan dalam merumuskan strategi yang responsif terhadap ketimpangan antar wilayah

Abstract

The research examines the Buddhist perspective on food consumption, by exploring the understanding of the concepts of halal and haram in Buddhism. This research was conducted using a literature study approach, by examining Buddhist scriptures and relevant literature such as books, journals, scientific articles, to compare the Buddhist perspective on eating etiquette with the concepts of halal and haram in Islam. The findings show that halal and haram refer to foods that are and are not allowed to be consumed. Although Buddhism does not have specific terms similar to halal and haram, Buddhism has a set of moral and ethical principles that have the same function as the concepts of halal and haram, which guide humanity to determine what is permissible and what is not. Buddhism has the term "bhojana Sappāya" or "supportive food" which can be understood as a food that is suitable for the body, can improve the health of the body, is easy to eat and digest. In principle, Buddhism views the good and bad of a food not only in terms of the content in it, but also includes the way it is eaten and the way it is obtained. Eating should be obtained in a way that does not violate Buddhist morality. Meats that should not be consumed are human flesh (manussamaṃsaṃ), elephants (hatthimaṃsaṃ), horses (assamaṃsaṃ), dogs (sunakhamaṃsaṃ), snakes (ahimaṃsaṃ), lions (sīhamaṃsaṃ), tigers (byagghamaṃsaṃ), leopards (dīpimaṃsaṃ), bears (acchamaṃsaṃ), and hyenas (taracchamaṃsaṃ). Etiquette when it comes to eating has been set out in sekhiyavatta, which allows one to have a polite and respectful way of eating.

Abstract

The urgency of this research lies in the importance of portraying the actual practices of inclusive education services in a faith-based school, specifically at SD Dharma Mulia, as an effort to foster a learning environment that is friendly, supportive, and adaptive for children with special needs. This research aims to describe inclusive education services at Dharma Mulia Elementary School. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. The subject in this study were the 3 third-grade students, 1 first-grade teacher, 1 third-grade teacher, the school principal, 2 special needs students in first and second grade, and parents of special needs children. The study's findings encompass three key aspects. Firstly, educators demonstrate a compassionate approach towards children with special needs, offering tailored support such as adjusting intonation, employing diverse teaching strategies and tasks, repeated explanations, varied evaluation methods, and consistent monitoring. Secondly, parents play a crucial role in facilitating their children's learning by participating in their educational journey, overseeing assignments, and providing assistance as needed. Thirdly, peers and the school environment foster inclusivity by offering support and camaraderie, aiding students with disabilities in class, engaging in activities together during breaks, and fostering an environment where all students are treated equally
