Abstract

This research sought to identify (1) socio-economic factors influencing farmers’decision in selling fresh vegetables in Candikuning village, Tabanan regency, and (2)comparison between income of farmers utilizing Tebasan system and without Tebasansystem. Data was collected by using survey method. The 44 farmers with Tebasan systemand 20 farmers without Tebasan system have been chosen as a sample in this research. Timeperiod of the study was in planting season in June 1999 until September 1999. The data wasanalyzed by using Logit Function.The result of the study were (1) income’s farmers, need cash before harvesting timeand price risk influencing farmers’ decision in selling the fresh vegetables, and (2) there wasno income differences between both kinds of system.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Subak is one of cultural traditional heritage in Bali which need maintained properly and suistainably. This institution is Balinese wall to protect the culture from outside world. In order to maintain THK suistainability, the research carried out at two different areas, tourism at Subak Juwuk Manis and agriculture at Subak Temesi. Invers Matrix Analysis is used to observe the level of THK suistainability, while Fuzzy Set Theory is used to rank each matrix cell component. The level of suistainability determined by the level of solidity based on its transferability. The study found that the tourism visit, in both tourism and agricultural areas, has no negative impact on the suistainability of THK values, with good categories, 85.52% for Subak Juwuk Manis and 78.83% for Subak Temesi. There is also a variation of dominant matrix component in each cell of THK sub-systems. It is suggested that the rank of each THK matrix component has to be paid attention. Moreover, the intensity of guiding should be started from the least dominant to the most dominant cell of matrix. Key words: Sustainability, Tri Hita Karana, Subak ABSTRAK Subak merupakan salah satu lembaga tradisional warisan sumberdaya budaya di Bali yang sangat perlu dilestarikan melalui pembinaan yang tepat dan berkelanjutan. Lembaga ini merupakan benteng masyarakat Bali dalam menghadapi berbagai gempuran budaya akibat derasnya arus globalisasi dan pariwisata yang melanda dunia dan Bali pada khususnya. Sebagai upaya untuk menjaga kelestarian dan keberlanjutan nilai-nilai THK tersebut, dilakukan penelitian di dua kawasan yang berbeda yakni kawasan wisata (Subak Juwuk Manis) dan kawasan agraris (Subak Temesi). Dua analisis dilakukan yaitu analisis Inverse Matrix untuk mengetahui tingkat keberlanjutan nilai-nilai THK serta analisis Fuzzy Set Theory dilakukan untuk menentukan ranking komponen setiap sel matrik. Tingkat keberlanjutan dinilai dari tingkat soliditas berdasarkan transferabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa arus wisatawan yang mendatangi kawasan wisata maupun kawasan agraris tidak memberikan dampak negatif terhadap keberlanjutan nilai-nilai THK dengan kategori baik dengan skor 85,52% (untuk Subak Juwuk Manis) dan 78,83% (untuk Subak Temesi). Terdapat variasi dominansi komponen matrik pada setiap sel matrik hubungan subsistem-subsistem dari THK. Dirasakan perlu memperhatikan dengan seksama hasil perankingan pada setiap komponen matrik nilai-nilai THK. Tingkat intensitas pembinaan dimulai dari sel matrik paling tidak dominan hingga ke sel matrik paling dominan. Kata kunci: Keberlanjutan, Tri Hita Karana, Subak

Abstract

Permintaan garam meningkat seiring bertambahnya jumlah penduduk dan perkembangan industri yang menyebabkan peningkatan kebutuhan produksinya agar terpenuhi kebutuhan nasional. Usaha garam di Desa Kusamba agar dapat dikembangkan membutuhkan perumusan strategi yang tepat. Penelitian ini membahas faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal, merumuskan strategi umum, strategi alternatif dan prioritas strategi usaha garam rakyat di Desa Kusamba. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Proses penentuan strategi dilakukan melalui matriks IFAS, EFAS, SWOT, dan QSPM. Berdasarkan hasil analisis faktor internal, kekuatan utama usaha garam di Desa Kusamba yaitu garam yang dihasilkan organik dan memiliki cita rasa yang khas (0,23).Kelemahan utama yaitu modal usaha terbatas, pemasaran belum optimal, dan kemasan yang digunakan masih sederhana (0,08). Faktor eksternal yang menjadi peluang utama yaitu Peningkatan konsumsi garam meningkat (0,30). Ancaman utama tidak memiliki industri yang mau menjadi mitra, tidak ada generasi muda dalam pengembangan dan pemeliharaan garam Kusamba, dan harga garam meningkat lebih murah (0,13). Berdasarkan hasil analisis matriks SWOT, terdapat 11 alternatif dengan prioritas strategi yang dipilih yaitu ketentuan dan dukungan harga garam di Desa Kusamba. dan harga lebih murah (0,13). Abstract

Not all customers can be served by the company. Each company needs to identify marketsegments that can be served effectively by differentiating the main market segments, aiming at one ortwo segments and developing products so that there are always new breakthroughs. A company in orderto excel in competition must be able to recognize its market segment, target and product position againstits competitors. This research aims to determine the segmenting, targeting, and positioning of MangsiCoffee powder. The sampling technique used is the nonprobability sampling method that is accidentialsampling. Segmenting and targeting is done by using crosstab analysis, while positioning uses multidimensional scaling analysis and correspondence analysis. Mangsi Coffee powder market segmentationbased on the characteristics of consumers are men who are adults, graduated from tertiary education (last education), work as employees with monthly expenditure above the Denpasar City UMK in 2019(Rp. 2,553,000.00). Mangsi Coffee consumers based on psychographic segmentation tend to choosequality products and make coffee consumption habits a trend and lifestyle while Mangsi Coffeeconsumers based on segmentation of consumer behavior tend to choose products according to theirbenefits. Positioning using multi-dimensional scaling analysis (MDS) shows that, Mangsi Coffeepowder is not in one quadrant with all three competing products. The map shows that all four productsare in different quadrants. CA analysis (correspondence analysis), shows the superiority of MangsiCoffee powder products when compared with competitors' products is an attribute in terms ofpackaging. The importance of companies to pay attention to segmenting, targeting, and positioning tobe able to focus on achieving company goals and survive in fierce market competition. The strategy toincrease sales is carried out by adjusting the results of studies in research and the conditions of theMangsi Coffee company so that it can take policies that are in accordance with company goals.

Abstract

Tebu merupakan bahan baku utama gula dalam industri gula di Indonesia. PG. Gempolkrep merupakan salah satu pabrik gula yang membutuhkan bahan baku tebu. Petani tebu di Kecamatan Jetis Kabupaten Mojokerto membutuhkan jaminan pasar, pembinaan, bantuan modal, dan sarana prasana produksi, sehingga kerjasama kemitraan merupakan upaya yang tepat untuk kedua belah pihak karena saling membutuhkan dan menguntungkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola kemitraan, kontribusi kemitraan, penerimaan dan pendapatan petani, dan kendala kemitraan. Responden penelitian ini adalah petani mitra sebanyak 30 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode studi pustaka, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola kemitraan agribisnis tebu antara PG. Gempolkrep dengan petani tebu adalah pola sub kontrak. Kontribusi kemitraan pada aspek ekonomi yaitu PG. Gempolkrep memberikan jaminan pasar, bantuan modal, dan bagi hasil, aspek teknis yaitu PG. Gempolkrep memberikan pembinaan dan petani tebu memberikan bahan baku, aspek sosial yaitu kedua belah pihak berusaha melakukan kerjasama sesuai kesepakatan, aspek lingkungan yaitu kedua belah pihak membatasi penggunaan bahan kimia. Penerimaan yang diterima petani sebesar Rp 327.031.898,70 dan keuntungan sebesar Rp 188.397.351,2 per luas lahan garapan 5,53 ha. kendala yang dihadapi yaitu kecurangan petani tebu, pencairan hasil lelang gula yang sering terlambat, jadwal penyerahan tebu yang diberikan tidak disertai volume, dan nota hasil produksi gula diberikan tidak terperinci.

Abstract

Pada industri gula, pabrik akan merencanakan pasokan tebu untuk memastikan bahwa pabrik beroperasi pada kapasitas optimal sepanjang musim giling. Pengukuran kinerja rantai pasok diperlukan untuk mengetahui kondisi pabrik dan melakukan pengendaliannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi mekanisme rantai pasok dan mengukur kinerja rantai pasok di pabrik gula Madukismo dengan metode Supply Chain Operations Reference-Analytical Hierarchy Process (SCOR-AHP). Hasil pengukuran kinerja rantai pasok di pabrik Madukismo Tahun 2018 pada anggota rantai pasok petani adalah 80,82% dan 93,32% pada pabrik. Terdapat tiga alternatif yang disusun berdasarkan kondisi pabrik yaitu peningkatan kemitraan dengan pemasok, peningkatan standar pabrik dalam kategori pemenuhan bahan baku, dan menambah pemasok tebu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that affect the production of ginger, analyze the level of technical, allocative and economic efficiency of ginger farming, identify the sources of technical inefficiency and analyze the feasibility of ginger farming in Tiga Village, Susut District of Bangli Regency. Data analysis was performed by using efficiency production analysis through stochastic frontier approach and farming analysis. The result showed the factors that significantly affected production of ginger farming in Tiga Village are land, seeds, and dried bamboo leaves. Efficiency analysis result showed that technical efficiency already efficient with a value of 0,89, while allocative and economic efficiency are not enough efficient with a value of 0,41 and 0,36. Sources of technical inefficiency of ginger farming in Tiga Village do not come from sosio economic factors of farmer but from risk factors that cannot be controlled by farmers such as weather, pest and disease or natural disaster. Feasibility of ginger farming obtained an R/C ratio value of 1,56 based on total cost, so ginger farming in Tiga Vilage is feasible and profitable to develop. Suggestion that can be given in this study are, first, establish the formation of ginger farmer group in Tiga Village as the a forum for sharing the information, improve the bargaining position of ginger farmers. Abstract

Analysis of The Contribution of Fishery Sub-Sector to Regional GDP and Labor Absorption of Deli Serdang Regency. The potential of fishery and labor resources in Deli Serdang Regency can be developed into a competitive advantage in contributing to regional income. This study aims to determine the contribution of the fishery sub-sector GDP, employment, and the multiplier effect of the fisheries sub-sector on economic and labor growth in Deli Serdang Regency. This quantitative study uses secondary data. The result shows that the contribution of the fishery sub-sector to the regional GDP of Deli Serdang Regency in 2015 to 2019 decreased by 1.27%-1.15%. The contribution of the fishery sub-sector to the workforce in Deli Serdang Regency has been fluctuated. The highest contribution in 2019 was 2.10% and the lowest contribution in 2017 was 1.85%. The multiplier effect of the fishery sub-sector on economic growth based on the regional GDP indicator in Deli Serdang Regency has also fluctuated. Meanwhile, the multiplier effect of the fishery sub-sector on labor growth in Deli Serdang Regency has decreased. The Deli Serdang Regency Government should be able to increase investment and subsidize the price of feed for the fishery sector.

Abstract

Income Risks of Capsicum Frutescens L. and Nicotiana Tabacum Farming in Subak Gede Sukawati, Gianyar Regency. Land size, planting distance, capital, maintenance, and weather affect production yields and farmers' incomes. Therefore, farmers must be able to take the right decisions to minimize farming risks. This study aims to determine the risk of production, price, and income of capsicum frutescens L and nicotiana tabacum intercropping farming in Subak Gede Sukawati, Gianyar Regency. Data were analyzed using the calculation of variance, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, and descriptively. Production risk in capsicum frutescens L and nicotiana tabacum intercropping shows the lowest risk with a coefficient of variation of 0.14 when compared to capsicum frutescens L and nicotiana tabacum monoculture. The risk of capsicum frutescens L production is higher (0.34) than nicotiana tabacum (0.30). The price risk in nicotiana tabacum farming, which is 0.12, indicates a higher price risk than the risk in capsicum frutescens L farming (0.02). As for income risk, the lowest risk occurs in capsicum frutescens L and nicotiana tabacum intercropping farming, which is 0.13. This risk is lower when compared to the monoculture of capsicum frutescens L (0.38) and nicotiana tabacum (0.30). The selection of cropping patterns in Subak Gede Sukawati, among others, is based on habits carried out for generations, product selling prices, maximizing income, and production costs.
