Abstract

ABSTRACT The Influencing Factors of Land-use Change: Case Study of Subak Daksina, Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency A land-use change of agricultural land into non-farm is increasing every year along with increase in population and development in tourism sector. Accordingly, continuing conversion of agricultural land may lead to food security problem in the future. Determination of factors in affecting agricultural land use shifting was carried out in this study using survey method to farmers. In addition, in-depth interview and observation were used in data collection. Explanatory factor analysis was used to achieve the aims of the study. Results of this study reveals that there were four factors affecting land use shifting, covering land condition, eviction (associated with the human population conditions), land use (for own interests), and the land ineffectiveness. Among 16 variables included in the model, only two variables, i.e. post harvet risk and land tax. Key words: land use, eviction, land ineffectiveness.

Abstract

Logistic Management and Organizational Consumer’s Perception on Asparagus Marketing by Farmer CooperativeAsparagus is a commodity that is commonly sold for modern markets. Mertanadi farmer cooperative is the only cooperative in Bali that supply asparagus to many destinations including supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and other suppliers. The commodity is supplied by the cooperative members at Plaga Village, Petang district, Badung regency. The aims of this study are to find out logistic management of asparagus by Mertanadi farmer cooperative to the organizational consumers. This research was carried out to 17 organizational consumers of Mertanadi cooperative located in Denpasar city, Badung regency and Gianyar regency. Logistic management by the cooperative was analyzed using descriptive qualitative method, while the perceptions of the consumers to the commodity were analyzed using Likert scale. Result of the study shows that the Mertanadi farmer coopertaive has implemented the seven basic concepts of logistic management including planning, budgeting, procurement, warehousing and distribution, maintenance and deletion as well as controlling. Perceptions of the organizational consumers seen from product availability, product quality and price are categorized good. However there is one weakness, according to the consumers, that is the cooperative is not able to fulfil the entire demand. It is expected that the cooperative needs to manage to fulfil the whole consumer’s demand.

Abstract

Income Analysis of Klutuk Bananas at Puhu Village Payangan District Gianyar Regency This study aims to determine costs used, revenue and income of klutuk banana farming. The location of the research was determined purposively at Puhu Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. The population in this study was klutuk banana farmers at Puhu Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method. Samples in this study were 55 respondents of farmers determined by using Slovin method. This research uses descriptive quantitative and qualitative to calculate income of klutuk banana cultivation at Puhu Village. The results of this study show that average farm income received by farmers was Rp 3,503,207 in the first year and in the second year at amount Rp 4,401,317. Technical obstacles experienced by farmers on klutuk banana farming at Puhu Village were the existence of green grasshopper and strong wind. Hindrance from the economic point of view was price fluctuations between wet and dry seasons.

Abstract

Relationship of Products Tofu and Tempeh for the Optimization of Profits(Maximum Profits) at UD Wahyu in Denpasar City UD Wahyu is one of the largest industry tofu and tempeh in Denpasar, proved by itsability of the average monthly production reached 167.36 tons of tofu and 51.76 tonsof tempeh. Problem faced by UD Wahyu is the selling price of tofu and tempehremain the same every year and uncertain incurred costs causing change profits overtime. The purposes of the research are to determine the production relationshipbetween tofu and tempeh and to find out the optimal production of tofu and tempehby UD Wahyu. Data collected by in-depth interview to the owner and observation tothe local site of production. Data analysis techniques was using regression andmaximum profit analysis by the marginal cost approach. The results showed thatproduction relationship between tofu and tempeh is complementary. It means thatany increase of tofu production will be followed by an increase in tempehproduction. The optimal monthly production of tofu amounted to 69.582 tons and theoptimal production of tempeh every month prevailed into two options, amounted to32.3073 tons and 43.9101 tons respectively. Profits earned by UD Wahyu fromproduction of 32.073 tons tempeh and 69.582 tons tofu between Rp 44.618.449 andRp 147.989.431. While profits earned by UD Wahyu production of tempeh 43.9101tons and tofu 69.582 tons between Rp 112.318.141 and Rp 215.689.123. Averageproduction of tofu and tempeh at UD Wahyu every month still exceeds the optimalproduction. To control costs, UD Wahyu is recommended to work on the optimalproduction.

Abstract

Abstracts Analysis of Added Value of Fish Processing Business (Dwi Tunggal Processing and Marketing Group in Sub-Village of Penganggahan, Village of Tengkudak, Sub-District of Penebel, Tabanan District). POKLAHSAR Dwi Tunggal is a business group that conducts fish processing such as shredded catfish, fried tilapia, and roasted (pepes) catfish, thus, providing added value of a product. The aim of this study was to calculate the added value obtained from fish processing to become food products and calculate the level of benefits received by POKLAHSAR Dwi Tunggal. The method of analysis in this study used the concept of added value of Hayami and ROI in one year of production. The results showed that shredded catfish provided the highest added value amounting to Rp 61,583.33/ kg of raw materials, followed by roasted catfish and fried tilapia with the respective added value of                       Rp 29,650.00/ kg and Rp 11,380.00/ kg. The highest profit came from the shredded catfish which amounted to Rp 38,250.00/ kg of raw materials, followed by roasted catfish Rp 19,150.00/ kg and fried tilapia Rp 5,780.00/ kg. The total profits obtained by group for the three products from 3,6 tons of raw materials amounting to Rp 43,272,000 in a year. BEP analysis results showed that minimum level of sales (break even point) for roasted catfish was worth Rp 5,195.62 or produced as many as 0.072 kg. Minimum level of sales was as many as 0.059 kg fried tilapia worth Rp 8,892.04 and shredded catfish sales of  Rp 5,997.42 as many as 0.024 kg. Financially, the group already earned a profits; however, it is expected to further increase the amount of production and expand marketing areas. Keywords: added value-, profit, BEP, fish processing

Abstract

Effect of Human Resources Competencies and Incentives on the Performance of Cooperative Sari Gadung Employees Competencies and incentives are directly related to employee performance. Employees who feel satisfied with their jobs will indirectly affect the performance of employees and will affect the development and progress of the cooperative. The purposes of the study: (1) to determine the effect of human resource competence on the performance of Sari Gadung Cooperative employees. (2) to determine the effect of incentives on the performance of Cooperative of Sari Gadung employees. The population is all employees of 30 people. Determination of the sample using the census method, i.e. all cooperative employees are samples in the study. The study measures competence, incentives and performance in ordinal by using a Likert Scale. The data analysis method used is SEM-PLS, with the help of the Smart PLS V.3.0 application. The results showed that competence and incentives had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Sari Gadung cooperative employees. The most influential competency construct is an indicator of employee knowledge in accordance with their main tasks and responsibilities. The incentive construct that has the most influence on employee performance is an indicator of compensation payments during overtime or assignments out of the office. Suggestions for the manager and chairman of the Sari Gadung Cooperative are to pay more attention to incentives and employee salaries, especially when employees take sick leave so that employee performance improves.

Abstract

The Comparison of Shallot Farming Income by Using and without Pheromone Technology (Case Study at the Association of Asta Mandiri Farmer Groups,Songan B Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency)The main problem faced by farmers in shallot cultivation is the pest attack fromworms. Farmers mostly control the pest by using high doses of chemical insecticidespraying. Pheromone technology is a breakthrough technology that can be used tocontrol worm pest in shallot farming, heading to less use of insecticides. Thisresearch took place at the Association of Asta Mandiri Farmer Groups, Songan BVillage, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency which was conducted from April toMay 2016. The purpose of this study was to compare the shallot farming incomeusing pheromone technology and without pheromone technology and the obstaclesfaced by farmers in applying the technology. Data were analyzed using analysis offarm income, the R/C ratio, and t-test. The results showed that the income of shallotfarming with pheromone technology was at Rp 97,597,413.38 per hectare per season,whereas without pheromone technology at Rp 78,605,563.89 per hectare perseason.The R/C ratio of shallot farming by using pheromones technology was 2,39,whereas without the pheromone technology was 2,06. Based on t-test analysis, thereis significantly difference in income at 95% level of confidence. Obstacles faced byfarmers in applying pheromone technology, namely difficulties to obtain thepheromones in the market. It is expected that the government will provide thepheromones massively, so that farmers are able to apply the technology sustainably.

Abstract

Abstract Organic Vegetable Marketing Management (A Case Study in P4S Eka Setia Lestari at the Bangli Village, Sub-District of Baturiti, Regency of Tabanan). This study aimed to determine the organic vegetable marketing management, from the aspect of the marketing mix and the constraints faced by the P4S Eka Setia Lestari in Bangli village, Baturiti Sub-District, Tabanan. The choice of location of the research was conducted by the purposive method, with the consideration that this group has obtained organic certification from LeSOS. The data in this study were obtained through a survey to the members of P4S Eka Setia Lestari and in-depth interviews with key informants. The analysis in this study was a qualitative descriptive method with emphasis on planning, implementation, marketing management, and supervision. P4S Eka Setia Lestari produces 21 kinds of vegetables. Marketing channels used were the direct marketing to consumers. Promotion was conducted by advertising. Constraints faced in the implementation of the current marketing management from the aspect of the product, was still facing obstacles namely it still depends on customer orders, production processes which require more time, so difficult to get a customer because organic more expensive, the obstacles encountered were the lack of an effective lines to send the product to the consumer, the constraints faced were the lack of use of technologies such as the internet and the limited budget in organizing exhibitions independently as well as promoting the organic vegetable products through mass media. Abstract

ABSTRACT Analysis of Rice Production Efficiency (Case Study in Subak Guama, Marga District, Tabanan Regency) The research was conducted in Subak Guama, District Marga, Tabanan regency from November 2011 to April 2012. Determined the selection of study sites intentionally (purposive sampling) with particular consideration of the Tabanan Regency Guama Subak is a center of rice production in the province of Bali. Efficient use of production factors were analyzed with the equation of the Cobb-Douglas production function, technical efficiency, allocative efficiency and economic efficiency and the magnitude of the benefits of rice farmers were analyzed with analysis of costs and benefits. The analysis showed that the seed production function, urea and NPK fertilizer (Phonska and Rainbow) have real impact on rice farming. Test results and economic allocative efficiency suggests that to get the maximum income of farmers to reduce pesticide use and the benefits of farmers in the rice paddies in one growing season is in March through the month of June 2011 amounting to Rp. 16,102,582.00 per hectare. Therefore, to achieve optimum production and maximum profit it is necessary to the addition of seeds, fertilizers, Urea, NPK fertilizer (Phonska and Rainbow) and reduce the amount of pesticide use that exact type, dose, time and route of administration. Farmers utilizing Koperasi Usaha Agribisnis Terpadu (KUAT) Subak Guama for capital assistance, price certainty, the certainty of marketing and high profit levels so that farmers do not lose money with a middleman. Abstract

The Influence of Job Satisfaction Factors on Employee Productivity at Suksmaning Idep Drana Ika (SIDI) Business Cooperative The development of cooperatives is currently supported by the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). One of the multi-business cooperatives in Denpasar is the Suksmaning Idep Drana Ika (SIDI) multi-businessCooperative which was established on November 16, 1951. The cooperative must increase its productivity so that the cooperative's goals can be optimally achieved, one of them by paying attention to employee job satisfaction.The purpose of this study was to determine employee job satisfaction and the influence of job satisfaction factors on employee work productivity at the SIDI Multi-business Cooperative. The sampling technique was done by census, as many as 46 employees as respondents. Employee job satisfaction was measured by four factors, namely psychological, financial, social, and physical factors. Measurements are measured in ordinal by using a Likert Scale. The data analysis method used is SEM-PLS, using the help of the Smart PLS V.3.0 application. The results showed that employee job satisfaction was in the satisfied category and job satisfaction factors significantly influenced employee work productivity. This means that job satisfaction factors along with their indicators play an important role in reflecting work productivity. Physical factors have a dominant influence on employee work productivity at the SIDI Multi-business Cooperative.
