Abstract

Cacao plays an important role in the Indonesian economy. One of the business entities engaged in cocoa commodity business activities is the Plea Puli Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU). The low number of cocoa purchases at the KSU Plea Puli is caused by various factors. One of them is competition with other cocoa buyers. Related to efforts to increase cocoa marketing, it is necessary to first know about the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli. The purpose of this study is to analyze the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli and strategies that can be implemented in increasing cocoa marketing. The study was conducted at KSU Plea Puli in East Nusa Tenggara. The main research instrument is a questionnaire. The determination of respondents to determine the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli was conducted on member farmers using the Slovin formula and non-member farmers using quota sampling techniques. The number of respondents in this study were 60 people. The determination of informants to find out the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli and the informants determining internal and external strategic factors was done purposively. The results showed that in the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli, there were three types of flows managed, namely material, financial and information flows. The parties involved consisted of member farmers and not members and the KSU Plea Puli themselves. In addition, there are various activities carried out such as cocoa production and marketing by farmers and cocoa marketing operations by KSU Plea Puli. The results also show that 12 alternative strategies are possible to support efforts to increase cocoa marketing by increasing the number of purchases. Strategy priority based on the highest-ranking with a score of 5.75 that is giving special authority to managers to carry out cocoa marketing operations. The management is expected to be able to implement the results of the strategic management of cocoa marketing in the KSU Plea Puli with the priority of the strategy being to give special authority to the manager to carry out cocoa marketing operations. The existence of the Commodity Product Processing and Marketing Unit (UPPH) at the KSU Plea Puli needs to be maintained and developed. Farmers are expected to adopt good agricultural practices by implementing PsPSP which consists of frequent harvesting, pruning, sanitation, fertilization and soil, and plant health and pest and disease control. Abstract

Growth, Yield, and Production Analysis of Maize (Zea mays L.) Treated by Organic Fertilizer and Cow Biourine in Dry Land Maize productivity in Bali is still low at around 3.4 ton/ha. Low soil fertility is one of the factors contributable to the low productivity of maize. Soil condition at the research field has low level of fertility with low levels of nitrogen and C-organic. This research aims at finding out the impact of organic fertilizers and cow biourine to the growth and yield of maize in dry land and to analyze it gross margin. Experiment was designed with randomized block design (RBD) with two factors and four replications. The dosage of the first factor namely without organic fertilizer, cow organic fertilizer 15 tonnes/ha and worm casting fertilizer 15 tonnes/ha, whereas dosage of cow biourine namely 0 liter, 1.000 liters, 2.000 liters and 3.000 liters/ha respectively for the second factor. The research results show that there is highly significant interaction (p<0.01) between organic fertilizers and cow biourine to the number of leaves aged at 21, 35, 49 and 63 dap, trunk diameter, dry matter weight/plant, number of cobs/plant, and harvest index, however it shows significant interaction (p<0.05) to leave area index (LAI) at age 35 dap and soil pH at harvest. The combination of worm casting fertilizer of 15 tonnes/ha with cow biourine 2.000 liters/ha resulted in the highest dry weight of seed/ha to 4,09 tonnes/ha, an increase of 69,71% compared to no fertilizer. The relationship between organic fertilizer and cow biourine to the dry matter yield follows a quadratic pattern, hence 15 tonnes/ ha worm casting fertilizer and 2000 liters/ha of cow biourine resulted in optimum yield from this research. Result from the gross margin analysis shows that revenue received at Rp 8.7935 million based on the price of dry shelled corn at Rp 2.150/kg does not cover the high variable cost at Rp 26.664,500.

Abstract

Produksi daging sapi di Bali didominasi oleh peternakan rakyat, sama halnya dengankeadaan pertanian pada umumnya di Indonesia. Berbagai kebijakan telah dilaksanakan untukmengembangkan sapi Bali. Pengetahuan mengenai distribusi manfaat/keuntungan yangditerima dari pengembangan sapi sapi Bali akan membantu dalam proses pengambilankeputusan. Tulisan ini menganalisis manfaat dari pengembangan sapi Bali dalam sistemproduksi bertingkat dengan menggunakan model “equilibrium displacement’ (EDM).Manfaat/keuntungan diukur dari perubahan surplus ekonomi pada peternak, rumah potonghewan dan pengecer.

Abstract

Pada industri gula, pabrik akan merencanakan pasokan tebu untuk memastikan bahwa pabrik beroperasi pada kapasitas optimal sepanjang musim giling. Pengukuran kinerja rantai pasok diperlukan untuk mengetahui kondisi pabrik dan melakukan pengendaliannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi mekanisme rantai pasok dan mengukur kinerja rantai pasok di pabrik gula Madukismo dengan metode Supply Chain Operations Reference-Analytical Hierarchy Process (SCOR-AHP). Hasil pengukuran kinerja rantai pasok di pabrik Madukismo Tahun 2018 pada anggota rantai pasok petani adalah 80,82% dan 93,32% pada pabrik. Terdapat tiga alternatif yang disusun berdasarkan kondisi pabrik yaitu peningkatan kemitraan dengan pemasok, peningkatan standar pabrik dalam kategori pemenuhan bahan baku, dan menambah pemasok tebu.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan penghasil kakao ketiga di dunia. Komoditi kakao Indonesia sangat berpotensi untuk dikembangkan dari segi kuantitas namun dari segi kualitas dinilai masih rendah untuk pasar dunia terutama Eropa.  Salah satu program yang dapat mendorong produksi dan kualitas kakao adalah melalui sertifikasi pertanian berkelanjutan yaitu UTZ Certified. Salah satu pemegang sertifikat UTZ di Indonesia adalah Koperasi Kerta Semana Samaniya di Kabupaten Jembrana. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan produksi dan pendapatan usahatani kakao bersertifikat UTZ dan yang tidak mengikuti program sertifikat UTZ di Kabupaten Jembrana, mengidentifikasikan alasan petani kakao mengikuti program sertifikasi UTZ. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah menghitung pendapatan usahatani, uji beda (uji-t) dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata produktivitas usahatani kakao bersertifikat UTZ sebanyak 173,20 kg/ha dan  non sertifikat sebanyak 211,88 kg/ha, yang menunjukkan bahwa produksi kakao bersertifikat UTZ lebih rendah sebesar 22,3% dibandingkan dengan non sertifikat. Pendapatan Usahatani bersertifikat UTZ lebih tinggi 45,17% yaitu sebesar Rp 4.887.639/ha/tahun dibandingkan dengan petani non sertifikat yang hanya memperoleh Rp 2.676.833/ha/tahun.  Usahatani kakao bersertifikat UTZ memiliki R/C  sebesar 3,3 sedangkan petani kakao non sertifikat UTZ sebesar 1,9. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usahatani kakao bersertifikat lebih menguntungkan dibandingkan dengan usahatani kakao non sertifikat. Tiga alasan utama petani mengikuti program sertifikasi UTZ adalah adanya sosialisasi pengenalan program sertifikasi, mendapatkan harga jual yang tinggi.Kata Kunci: Pendapatan Petani, Usahatani Kakao, UTZ Certified

Abstract

Introduction: Candida albicans is a normal organism found in the oral cavity. These organisms are opportunistic pathogens, which are not pathogenic to normal individuals but will cause disease in individuals with certain conditions. Oral candidiasis is one of the infections caused by this fungus. Management of therapy is done by administering antifungal drugs. The use of the antifungal drug has side effects and in the long term use can raise the resistance of Candida strain and treatment failure. Different choices of therapy can use herbs such as lime pulp and peel. The purpose of this study is to determine the difference in inhibition between lime (Citrus aurantifolia S) pulp and peel extract at concentrations of 25%, 50% and 100% for the growth of Candida albicans. Method: This study uses experimental Post Test Only Control Group Design. The treatment group is given ethanol extract of lime pulp and peel with concentrations of 25%. 50% and 100%. A positive control is given nystatin and ethanol 96% as a negative control. The antifungal test method is disc diffusion. Data analysis uses One-Way Anova comparative test. Result: Ethanol extract of pulp and lime peel does not perform inhibition zone against Candida albicans growth. Conclusion: Antifungal activity test results show no difference between lime pulp and peel extract at concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 100% in inhibiting the growth of Candida albicans. Latar Belakang: Candida albicans merupakan organisme normal yang terdapat pada rongga mulut. Organisme ini bersifat oportunistik patogen, yaitu tidak patogen pada individu normal tapi akan menyebabkan penyakit pada individu dengan kondisi tertentu. Kandidiasis oral merupakan salah satu infeksi yang disebabkan oleh jamur ini. Manajemen terapi dilakukan dengan pemberian obat antifungi. Penggunaan obat antifungi memiliki efek samping dan pada penggunaan jangka panjang dapat memunculkan strain Candida yang resisten dan menyebabkan kegagalan dari pengobatan. Alternatif terapi dapat menggunakan bahan alam berupa buah jeruk nipis, baik kulit maupun daging buah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan daya hambat antara ekstrak daging dan kulit buah jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia S) pada konsentrasi 25%, 50% dan 100% terhadap pertumbuhan Candida albicans. Metode: Jenis penelitian yaitu eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian post test only control group design. Kelompok perlakuan diberikan ekstrak etanol daging dan kulit buah jeruk nipis konsentrasi 25%, 50% dan 100%. Kontrol positif berupa nystatin dan kontrol negatif etanol 96%. Metode uji daya hambat jamur dengan difusi cakram. Analisis data menggunakan uji komparatif One Way Anova. Hasil: Ekstrak etanol daging dan kulit jeruk nipis tidak menunjukkan adanya zona hambat terhadap pertumbuhan Candida albicans. Kesimpulan: Hasil uji daya antijamur menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan antara ekstrak kulit dan daging jeruk nipis kosentrasi 25%, 50% dan 100% dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Candida albicans.

Abstract

Analysis of Forecasting drink Sales of Sari Nanas Segarrr at PT Putra Jaya Nanas in Blitar Regency, East Java Province. PT Putra Jaya Nanas is a company that processes pineapples into beverage product. The sale of Sari Nanas Segarrr beverage had fluctuated from May 2017 to May 2020 due to seasonal factor. This study aims to determine the best method of forecasting sales for Sari Nanas Segarrr and analyze the sale forecasting level in the upcoming period using the best forecasting method. This study uses 37 months sales data from May 2017 to May 2020. The sales data are processed using a time series forecasting method to select the best method by looking at the value of the Mean Squared Error (MSE). Based on the analysis, the best forecasting method is the Quadratic Trend (non- linear) method which has the smallest MSE. The forecasting method suggests that the next year sales, from June 2020 to May 2021 (period 38 – 49), will increase with the average monthly sales of 9, 09%. The company should use the forecasting method for better stock planning and to optimize the production in meeting the demand in the coming year.

Abstract

Fresh Oil Palm Bunches Trading System (Case Study of Tegar Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province). Oil palm is one of the leading commodities in Mandau District with a total production of 812,927.8 tons. Unfortunately, this large production has not been facilitated by an efficient trading system, especially when viewed from the benefits received by farmers in Tegar Village. This study aims to analyze the trading system, trading channels and trading costs, as well as the share margin received by each of the trading channels of fresh oil palm bunches in Tegar Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. 30 farmer respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique. Using qualitative and quantitative analysis, this study shows that the trading system of fresh oil palm bunches in Tegar Village is a one channel trading pattern, in which farmers sell to intermediary traders, who then transport the fresh oil palm bunches to palm oil processing factories. The trading system analysis result shows that the margin value in this channel is 14.23%, with farmer's share of 85.77%, and a profit ratio of 43.60%. Operationally this channel is an efficient channel.
