Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Geogebra-assisted Wondering, Exploring, and Explaining (WEE) learning model in improving the ability to understand mathematical concepts on lines and angles material at Junior High School of Darush Sholihin Batu in the 2022/2023 academic year. The study employs practical classroom action research, recruiting class VII-B as the research subjects. Interview guides, observation sheets, end-of-cycle test questions adapted to indicators of the ability to understand concepts, and field notes were the study's pilots for data collection. The findings showcased that the observation of teachers' and students' activities, the final cycle test completeness, and the interview results with happy students were boosted from cycles I to II. Furthermore, cycle II met the indicators of action success, indicating that the Geogebra-assisted Wondering, Exploring, and Explaining (WEE) learning model can improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts on lines and angles material at SMP Darush Sholihin Batu.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of the IDEA (Issue, Discuss, Establish, and Apply) learning model on the ability to understand concepts in students of class VIII Islamic Pakis Junior High School statistics material. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experiment design method and a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students in grade VIII of SMP Islam Pakis in the 2023/2024 school year. The method used for sampling is saturated sampling method. The instrument used is a test, before the instrument is used in the learning process, the researcher must test its validity. The validity test in this study uses content validity. The data collection procedure used by researchers begins with a pretest, the implementation of learning or giving treatment, and ends with a posttest. The data analysis technique used in this study is parametric analysis using the independent sample t-test test. Before using the independent sample t-test test, researchers used 2 prerequisite tests, namely, normality and homogeneous tests. The results of the normality test and homogeneous test both show sig.0.05, which means that the data obtained are normally distributed and from homogeneous samples, so data analysis can be carried out using the Independent sample t-test test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the pre-test and post-test data analysis from the control and experimental classes showed that there was an effect of learning using the IDEA model on concept understanding ability with Sig. = 0.00 (sig 0.05).

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji beberapa sumber pustaka yaitu mengenai peran media pembelajaran berbasis android pada peserta didik apabila ditinjau dari kepribadiannya. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan dijadikan sebagai bahan pustaka utama dalam pelaksanaan penelitian berikutnya yaitu mengenai peran media pembelajaran berbasis android pada peserta didik ditinjau dari kepribadian. Penelitian ini khusus membicarakan tipe kepribadian menurut Carl Gustav Jung yang membedakan dua tipe kepribadian yaitu, tipe kepribadian introvesi (introvert) dan ekstraversi (extrovert). Jenis penelitian ini yaitu studi literatur, adapun langkah-langkah dalam penelitian ini, yaitu (1) mengumpulkan sumber pustaka sesuai dengan penelitian ini dengan melakukan review pada istilah penting yang digunakan dalam penelitian, (2) mengumpulkan sumber pustaka pada hasil penelitian yang relevan, hal ini bertujuan agar memperkaya proses analisis, sehingga hasil analisis dapat menyimpulkan hasil yang objektif, (3) langkah berikutnya, yaitu melakukan analisis secara mendalam terhadap semua sumber pustaka yang telah dikumpulkan dengan dilanjutkan menyusun pembahasan, kemudian, setelah melakukan pembahasan, (4) mengambil kesimpulan dari hasil analisis, (5) berikutnya, yaitu memberikan pengajuan saran berdasarkan temuan-temuan yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian studi literatur ini menunjukkan bahwa peranan media pembelajaran berbasis android ditinjau melalui kepribadian siswa memiliki peranan dalam pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan, serta tepat sasaran sesuai dengan karakteristik kepribadian peserta didik. Abstract The purpose of this study is the role of android-based learning media on students when viewed from their personality. Here researchers specifically discuss personality types according to Carl Gustav Jung who distinguishes two personality types namely, introverted and extroverted personality types. This type of research is the study of literature, as for the steps in this study, namely (1) collecting literature in accordance with this research by conducting a review of important terms used in research, (2) collecting literature on relevant research results, this aims in order to enrich the analysis process, so that the analysis results can conclude objective results, (3) the next step, which is to conduct an in-depth analysis of all the literature that has been collected by continuing to compile the discussion, then, after conducting the discussion, (4) drawing conclusions from the results of the analysis , (5) next, which is giving suggestions based on the findings obtained. The conclusion of this research is the role of android-based learning media reviewed through the personality of students has a role in learning more effective and fun, and right on target in accordance with the personality characteristics of students. Abstract

This study is motivated by the low quality of mathematics learning for students with special needs caused by the need for teaching materials tailored to their needs and the limitations of teachers in using inclusive learning strategies. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a community service initiative designed to improve mathematics learning for students with special needs in SLB. This study used a developmental research method with a pretest-posttest design on one group of research subjects, involving teachers and students with special needs as test subjects. The program involved 20 students and 4 teachers. The results show the initiative's effectiveness in improving math education for special needs students. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, while the instruments used included observation guidelines, interview sheets, and questionnaires for teachers and students. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and paired t-tests to measure changes in teachers' understanding and skills and improvements in students' motivation and learning outcomes. This study concludes that inclusive education interventions based on special learning aids effectively overcome learning barriers for students with special needs. The implication of this study is the need for further development in teacher training and the provision of specialized teaching materials to support inclusive education in all schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) assisted with Quizizz in accelerating mathematical problem solving abilities. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Malang consisting of 33 students. This classroom action research was carried out in even semesters with repeated cycles until the indicators of action success were met, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results in cycle I showed that the results of observation of activity were 79%, the results of observations of student activities were 74.5% and the completeness of learning outcomes reached 63.63% so that they did not meet the indicators of success of the action. In cycle II, the results of observing teacher activity increased by 11.75% to 90.75%, the results of observing student activities increased by 14.25% to 88.75% and the completeness of learning outcomes increased by 18.19% to 81.82% . Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Quizizz-assisted Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning model can accelerate the math problem solving abilities of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 13 Malang.

Abstract

Pandemi covid–19 yang telah melanda dunia menyebabkan masalah pada bidang pendidikan di Indonesia khususnya dalam proses pembelajaran, salah satu permasalahannya adalah learning loss, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk belajar dan mengembangkan diri melalui aktivitas di luar kelas, Upaya yang dilakukan berupa memberikan ide atau inovasi pada proses pembelajaran berdasarkan pengalaman yang diperoleh mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan inovasi mahasiswa kampus yang dilaksanakan pada sekolah dasar sesuai surat keputusan ristekdikti yaitu dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring adalah pembelajaran berbasis jaringan internet berbantuan aplikasi sebagai media komunikasi, juga sebagai media belajar. Tantangan yang dihadapi selama melakukan pembelajaran daring yaitu kurangnya interaksi antara pendidik dan peserta didik. Program kampus mengajar memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa dan guru pada sekolah terkait, terbukti dari minat belajar siswa meningkat melalui program guru keliling.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas X dilihat dari pengetahuan metakognitif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini berada di MA Darul Huda kelas X pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penentuan subjek dilakukan dengan memberikan tes metacognitive awareness inventory (MAI). Dari hasil tes MAI diperoleh 2 subjek penelitian yaitu siswa dengan pengetahuan dominan deklaratif dan siswa dengan pengetahuan dominan prosedural. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan diperoleh dari angket pengetahuan metakognitif, soal tes dan transkrip wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis pengetahuan metakognitif dan soal tes berdasarkan indikator kemampuan literasi matematis. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan pengetahuan dominan prosedural pada proses literasi matematis hanya memenuhi sebagian proses merumuskan (formulate) dan menafsirkan (interprete), serta dapat memenuhi proses menerapkan (employ). Sedangkan subjek dengan pengetahuan dominan deklaratif pada proses literasi matematis hanya memenuhi sebagian dari proses merumuskan (formulate) dan menafsirkan (interprete).

Abstract

This study examined how teacher support, through mentorship, instructional guidance, and relational encouragement, shapes the professional development of pre-service teachers in Indonesian teacher education programs, particularly in influencing their perceptions, readiness, and development of core teaching competencies. A descriptive quantitative design was employed, involving 85 participants who completed a structured questionnaire measuring four key domains of teacher competence: personality, pedagogical, social, and professional. Data were analysed using SPSS, incorporating reliability testing, classical assumption tests, and path analysis to examine the hypothesized directional relationships among these competencies, where personality, pedagogical, and social competencies were modeled as predictors of professional competence. The results indicated that personality, pedagogical, and social competencies significantly and directly influenced professional competence as the outcome variable representing pre-service teachers’ preparedness for teaching. Among these, personality competence had the strongest individual impact. These findings highlighted the multifaceted nature of the relationship between teacher educators and pre-service teachers, both formal and informal, which played a critical role in fostering professional identity and instructional confidence by strengthening foundational competencies. By focusing on pre-service teachers’ perspectives, this study addressed an essential gap in the literature concerning how competency domains interact to form overall professional competence and provided evidence-based insights for enhancing teacher education programs. Ultimately, the study underscored the need for holistic and responsive teacher training models that integrated interpersonal, ethical, and instructional dimensions aligned with the competency pathways identified in this study to better equip future educators.
