Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan berdasar pada masalah budak dan perbudakan di Indonesia dalam karya sastra dan dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik dekonstruksi ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) orientalisme dalam novel-novel Balai Pustaka dan (2) resistensi pribumi terhadap kolonial Belanda novel-novel Balai Pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa relasi antara penjajah dengan terjajah, yakni antara Belanda dengan pribumi di Indonesia (Hindia Belanda) adalah relasi yang tidak setara. Belanda mendominasi pribumi. Pendominasian Belanda terhadap pribumi diperlihatkan stereotip-stereotip kebinatangan oleh pihak Belanda kepada pribumi, dan pendiskriminasian warna kulit oleh kolonial. Belanda memandang dirinya lebih beradab daripada pribumi karena Belanda memiliki warna kulit putih, sedangkan pribumi memiliki kulit hitam, atau bukan kulit putih. Pandangan Belanda itu terkonstruksi dalam pikiran dan perilaku mereka sehingga stereotip-stereotip bahwa pribumi itu terbelakang, lamban atau malas, dan seperti binatang (kera atau beruk), muncul atau berkembang. Hal itu merupakan pandangan orientalisme colonial Belanda terhadap pribumi. Akibat pendominasian (pendiskriminasian, rasisme, dan marjinalisasi) ini membuat masyarakat pribumi melakukan resistensi. Resistensi yang dilakukan oleh budak/pribumi dalam bentuk mimikri dan mockery yang memperolok-olok kolonial Belanda dalam upaya meruntuhkan kekuasaannya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning to write review texts using the Teacher's Room at SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. The subjects of this study were Indonesian language teachers and eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Seririt. The object of this research is the implementation of learning to write review texts using the Teacher's Room, and the obstacles faced in learning. Data collection uses observation methods, interview methods, and documentation methods. The research instruments include observation sheets and unstructured interviews. Data analysis was carried out according to the qualitative descriptive analysis model with four stages, data reduction, data classification, data description, and conclusions. The results of this study include (1) the implementation of review text learning with Ruang Guru at SMP Negeri 2 Seririt through 3 activity stages namely, preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities. The facilities and infrastructure used in the implementation of learning include: laptops, teaching videos in the Teacher's Room, and gadgets. (2) The obstacles faced in learning review texts with Ruang Guru at SMP Negeri 2 Seririt focused on online learning which included: some students were late joining the WhatsApp Group class (b) some students did not have learning support facilities, (c) network uneven, (d) the initial motivation of students is not optimal, and (e) some parents have not been able to support learning facilities and infrastructure

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) The types of teaching materials in learning drama literary texts in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja, (2) The procedure for using teaching materials in learning drama literary texts, (3) Evaluation of teaching materials in text learning drama literature. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research is one teacher who teach drama in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. The data collection method used are observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study are (1) The types of teaching materials used by teachers in learning drama literary texts, namely, Videos on Youtube, Materials in Google Classroom, Materials on the Web, and Learning Videos. (2) The procedure for using teaching materials in learning drama literary texts which includes three stages of procedures, Providing the basic concepts of drama through videos on YouTube, Presenting modules to check student understanding, and Presenting a summary of the material and learning videos. (3) Evaluation of teaching materials in learning drama literary texts, namely, Adapting to KD, Characteristics of students, and Authentic and interesting. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the use of teaching materials for literary drama texts in class XI of SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja has been carried out very well. Abstract

This paper aims at explaining the implementation of RAWAC (Reading and Writing across Curriculum) in teaching essay for college students. Using an action research based integrated with hermeneutic technique, this study was conducted in Kelompok Belajar Mahasiswa (Student Study Club) at Ganesha University of Education, Bali. The result of the study indicates that this model is able to synchronize the excellent aspects of reading-writing and metacognition as those give benefits to the students in terms of strengthening their critical thinking in exploring ideas, their discipline attitude during the process of planning, monitoring, and evaluating concepts, and also strengthening the students’ self-regulated learning in writing essay. Implementing RAWAC improve the students’ ability in writing essays, especially in exploring ideas, organizing the writing, choosing the diction and enhancing their writing technique.

Abstract

The ability of students to analyze literary works is very weak. An important effort to improve students’ abilities in analyzing literary works is to introduce the CDA approach as an analysis tool for literary works. This study aims to describe, interpret, and explain (1) the ability of students to identify words/phrases/sentences that are praxis in short stories, (2) the ability of students to identify the form of praxis in short stories, and (3) the ability of students to interpret the socio-cultural short stories that have been analyzed. This research uses a three-dimensional technical analysis of Fairclough discourse. The result of this study show that students able to (1) choose praxis words/phrases/sentences, such as adjectives that support binary opposition and words of denial, (2) find the form of short story praxis, such as stereotypes and discrimination, and (3) the socio-cultural dimension of the short story interpreted by students is discursive Balinese ritual tradition of the dead.

To improve information literacy of this generation, school libraries have a rolethat is not the same as in the previous era. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced Indonesian language lecturers to use internet-assisted technology. The worry arises because all lecturers have not mastered professional skills in using assisted internet technology, affecting the quality of Indonesian language learning, especially at the Ganesha University of Education. This qualitative research discusses (1) the learning tools used by Indonesian language lecturers and (2) the process of Indonesian learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic era. The subjects of this research are Indonesian language lecturers at the Ganesha University of Education. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, open interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used the Milles and Huberman analysis model and the TPACK principle. The results showed that (1) Indonesian language learning during the Covid-19 pandemic era had been planned in advance through the preparation of learning tools; and (2) Indonesian lecturers were able to combine aspects of technology skills, pedagogy, and content knowledge in learning carried out both synchronously and asynchronously.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the implementation of the use of Mentimeter as an interactive learning medium in negotiating text material in class X IBB 1 SMAN 1 Kintamani, (2) describe the effectiveness of using Mentimeter as an interactive learning medium in negotiating text material in class X IBB 1 SMAN 1 Kintamani negotiating text material in class X IBB 1 SMAN 1 Kintamani, (3) describing the factors that inhibit and support Mentimeter as an interactive learning medium in negotiating text material in class X IBB 1 SMAN 1 Kintamani. The data was collected using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive-qualitative methods. The subjects of this study were students and teachers of class X IBB 1 SMAN 1 Kintamani, while the object of this study was the effectiveness of the Mentimeter as an interactive learning medium for negotiating text material in class X IBB 1 SMAN 1 Kintamani. The results showed that (1), Mentimeter has been used optimally and received a positive response from students (2), Mentimeter proved to be effective with an average value of 80.00 and (3) there are several obstacles and supporters of the use of Mentimeter. Based on the conclusions, suggestions submitted to other researchers are expected to conduct similar research but with different concepts so that more theories are found.

Abstract

Teaching and learning drama in junior high schools is very important in increasing students' appreciation of literature and instilling character values. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has had an adverse impact on the implementation of drama learning in schools. This qualitative research describes teachers' learning tools during the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of drama learning, and the obstacles teachers face in implementing drama learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects of this research were junior high school Indonesian teachers in Singaraja City, Bali. Data was collected through documentation study techniques, interviews, and observation. The results showed that the drama learning tools made by Indonesian language teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic were complete and reflected the 21st-century learning tools. The implementation of drama learning was carried out online by utilizing the Google platform and other online media. The obstacle faced by teachers is the internet network which is often interrupted. The results of this study are very useful, especially as a learning strategy during times of crisis or implementing online language and literature learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik di SMK Negeri 1 Singaraja, pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik di SMK Negeri 1 Singaraja, produk dan aktivitas ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik yang ada di SMK Negeri 1 Singaraja. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mencari gambaran yang jelas dan melaporkan suatu fakta-fakta yang terjadi. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kegiatan ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik di SMK Negeri 1 Singaraja mempunyai dua program unggulan, yaitu memberikan pelatihan menulis kepada siswa-siswi yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan siswa-siswi yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler menerbitkan majalah setiap akhir semester. pelaksanan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik SMK Negeri 1 Singaraja mempunyai empat tahapan yaitu, mengecek kehadiran siswa-siswi dalam pembinaan ekstrakurikuler, penjelasan teori jurnalistik dari pembina ekstrakurikuler, siswa-siswi membuat berita yang ditugaskkan oleh pembina, dan pembina melakukan penilaian pada hasil berita yang telah dibuat oleh siswa-siswi. produk jurnalistik SMK Negeri 1 Singaraja yaitu majalah sekolah. Adapun aktivitas ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik dalam pembinaan ini seperti meliput berita yang ada di lapangan, menyususun berita yang akan diterbitkan di majalah, dan mengedit hasil berita yang didapatkan. Hasil tulisan siswa-siswi yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik akan dijadikan majalah sekolah dan majalah tersebut akan didistribusikan oleh kepala sekolah.
