Abstract

Floods and landslides are disasters that can cause a lot of damage related to the material and of course fatalities, as well as the amount of damage from the environment that occurs, and other impacts will undoubtedly affect the psychology of the communities that changed by the disaster. The psychological effect of this unusual event will undoubtedly lead to trauma or it called posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This study aims to explore the experiences of farmers who experience floods and landslides directly, the research design used is a qualitative research design using an interpretative phenomenology approach. The technique of collecting data used in-depth interviews with a semi-structured interview guide involving five participants and analyzed using interpretative analysis of phenomenology. This study produced six themes including disasters that occur due to humans, accepting the existing reality, getting closer to God, having the desire to farm again, recovering the family economy, keeping the environment around and improving themselves. The role of health workers is important because the impact caused by this condition can be worse so that health workers need to provide services so that farmers can understand, live and be able to accept and adapt to the conditions that occur

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan faktor risiko utama untuk penyakit kardiovaskular dan membawa beban kesehatan yang tinggi dalam hal morbiditas dan mortalitas. Hipertensi merupakan faktor yang berkonstribusi terhadap kematian akibat stroke dan faktor yang memperberat infark miokard. Salah satu upaya untuk menurunkan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi diantaranya adalah dengan terapi relaksasi otot progresif (Progressive Muscle Relaxation/ PMR). Mengetahui efektifitas terapi PMR terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi kelompok “Prolanis” di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Jatiroto Kabupaten Lumajang. Desain Penelitian menggunakan desain pre eksperiment dengan rancangan one group pre test post test. Teknik sampling menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 24 responden. Pelaksanaan terapi PMR menggunakan tool atau standard operating procedures (SOP) terapi PMR. Instrument untuk mengukur tekanan darah dengan menggunakan Sphygmomanometer digital merk Omron. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada tekanan darah baik systole dan diastole responden sebelum dan sesudah diberikan terapi PMR. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai p melalui uji T didapatkan nilai p 0,000 dimana nilai p0,05 dan nilai 95% Confidence Interval tidak melewati angka nol. Terapi relaksasi otot progresif signifikan menurunkan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi sehingga terapi ini dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif terapi sebagai terapi non farmakologis dalam menurunkan tekanan darah bagi penderita hipertensi. Kata Kunci: relaksasi otot progresif, tekanan darah, hipertensi.

Abstract

permasalahan serius di dunia dan Indonesia. Data dari World Health Organization sekitar 21 juta orang mengalami skizofrenia. Prevalensi skizofrenia di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan proporsi per 1000 penduduk (1,7%) pada tahun 2013 menjadi (7%) pada tahun 2018. Faktanya terapi keperawatan untuk halusinasi belum optimal sedangkan teknologi terus berkembang seperti Virtual Reality (VR). VR mampu menurunkan gejala pada skizofrenia dengan kemampuan membuat perilaku interaktif dan tersimpan dalam otak agar tidak menimbulkan halusinasi. Teknologi ini digunakan untuk mengetahui manfaat E-Health Nursing VR sebagai terapi halusinasi pada pasien skizofrenia. Metode penelitian menggunakan systematic review dari 5 database yaitu Nature, Frontiers, BMC, Science Direct, NEJM sehingga didapat total 55 literatur. Mayoritas 63% mengulas terapi VR untuk mengurangi halusinasi pada skizofrenia. Perkembangan manfaat VR diverifikasi dalam beberapa pengobatan: skizofrenia, PTSD, kecemasan, akrofobia, ganguan citra tubuh, claustrophobia, dan lain-lain. Beberapa studi skizofrenia menyatakan terapi VR sangat efektif menangani delusi, halusinasi, gejala kepribadian skizoid. VR juga berguna dalam rehabilitas kognitif pada orang dewasa atau anak-anak autis dalam keterampilan dan kemandirian. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah VR terbukti efektif sebagai terapi kesehatan jiwa di masa mendatang. Disisi lain terdapat terapi psikologis pilihan seperti terapi perilaku kognitif, dan psikoterapi interpersonal. Oleh karenanya diperlukan kombinasi terapi VR dengan terapi komplementer tersebut dalam mengurangi halusinasi pada skizofrenia. Mental health become a severe problem in the world and Indonesia. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO, 2016) estimated that 21 million people have schizophrenia. The prevalence of schizophrenia in Indonesia has increased proportion per 1000 population (1,7%) in 2013 to (7%) in 2018. In fact of nursing, therapy for hallucination is not optimal while constantly evolving technology such as Virtual Reality (VR). VR can reduce symptoms in schizophrenia with the ability to create interactive behavior and stored in the brain in order to cause hallucinations. The objective of this study was to review the benefit of VR as a hallucination therapy in schizophrenia patients. This research used a systematic literature review from five databases Nature, Frontiers, BMC, Science Direct, NEJM, and resulted in the retrieval of 55 papers. The majority of a result found a 63% review in Virtual Reality therapy can reduce hallucination in schizophrenia. VR is a technology browser and manipulator sensory environment in real-time 3D. The progressing benefit of VR verified in the treatment of schizophrenia, PSTD, anxiety, acrophobia, body image disorder, claustrophobia, and others. Some studies of schizophrenia declare that virtual reality therapy is effective in treating delusions, hallucinations, and a symptom of schizoid behavior. VR also has benefits in cognitive rehabilitation in adults or children with autism's inability and self-reliance. VR has a bright future as the treatment of mental health. The progressing of technology and research has an excellent opportunity for VR to reduce schizophrenia. Moreover, there is psychological therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy. Therefore a combination needed of virtual therapy with the complementary therapy for reducing hallucination in schizophrenia.

Abstract

Nurses at PHC has a work area with the target of serving individuals, families, specific groups and communities. PHC as Comprehensive Health Care Service which includes promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative aspects. This makes PHN has a high workload and has the risk of causing burnout in workplace. Personality is one of the factors that caused burnout. It can be related to how people respond to stressors in their work environment and in themselves. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between DISC personality type and burnout of The Nurses at Puskesmas in Jembrana Regency, Bali. This research applied a correlative research design with cross sectional approach. A total of 42 respondents were enrolled in this study by using total sampling. The questionnaires used in data collection were the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and The DISC Model personality. The data analysis used was contingency coefficient test (CI: 95%) showed a significant correlation between the DISC personality and burnout on nurses at PHC (X2 = 13.213; p-value = 0.040). The majority of nurses had personality type of C are 14 nurses (33.3%) and personality type of S are 13 nurses (31%) and the majority had moderate burnout up to 29 nurses (69%). Introverted personalities such as types C and S are more at risk of experiencing burnout than other personalities. This is important to recognize personality so that we can place nurses according to their personalities and facilitate activities for nurses to reduce stress and burnout.

Abstract

Introduction: Hallucinations are defined as perceptual disturbances in which an object is not stimulated from outside, this sensory perception disorder covers all five senses. One effort that can be done to overcome hallucination is by occupational drawing therapy. Drawing therapy can release the patient’s emotions, express themselves through non-verbal ways and build communication. This final scientific paper aims to determine the drawing strategy for reducing hearing hallucination symptoms. Method: The research design uses a qualitative case study. This case study explores a problem in patients with sensory percepyion disorders: auditory hallucination with a sample of 1 person. Result: After 3 days of drawing therapy, there were changes in the symptoms that appeared in Mrs. “K” before and after being given the intervention of occupational therapy drawing, where before being given therapeutic therapy there were 12 symptoms (85%) from 14 symptoms and after the intervention was given 3 symptoms (22%).Therapy can minimize the patient’s interaction with his own world, remove thoughts, feeling, or emotions that have been influencing, unconscious behavior, motivate and provide joy, entertainment, and attention to the mind from hallucinations so that the mind does not focus on the hallucinations. Conclusion: Drawing therapy is effective in reducing auditory therapy is effective in reducing auditory symptoms in schizophrenic patients.

Abstract

The success of academic achievement has a lot of determinants. Social environment background, personal characteristic, and quality of education are only a few of those factors (Zimmerman and Schunk, 1989). Own characteristics have a lot of impact on academic success, such as self-esteem, motivation, and also the will for an individual to reach their success. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of motivation’s component with self-esteem aspect among nursing student in the faculty of nursing Jember University.This study employed a cross-sectional study. It involved 84 respondent using purposive sampling technique from a nursing student in the faculty of the nursing University of Jember from September to November 2018. A self-administered questionnaire was designed to collect the data, including sociodemographic data, self-esteem scale, and Student motivation Scale. The data were analyzed using Spearman rank. The results showed that the median of the motivation was 50, with a minimum value of 28 and a maximum value of 140, whereas the mean value of self-esteem was 2.46 with a standard deviation of 0.56. There was a significant correlation between motivation and self-esteem (p-value: 0.001; r: 0.358). The correlation was weak and positive, which means the higher the value of motivation, the higher the self-esteem. The correlation analysis revealed that motivation has a significant effect on self-esteem. Its is show that raising motivation must be high on the list for an educational program.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has turned virtually all learning activities into online. Stressors experienced during online learning affect the psychological condition of internship nursing students. This research analyzes the correlation between perception about online learning with anxiety levels in the internship program at the school of Nursing Jember University. The method of this Research used an observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in this study were 102 internship nursing students who have had a minimum of two weeks of an online learning experience and using the total sampling technique. The study was conducted through an online survey. Bivariate analysis was performed by Kendal tau b correlation test (p=0,05). The research instrument of perception online learning questionnaire (α Cronbach = 0.847-0.867) and Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale (α cronbach= 0.887). The Research has passed the research feasibility through the Health Research Ethics Commission the Faculty of Nursing, University of Jember No. 26/UN25.1.14/KEPK/2021. The results showed a total of 55 internship nursing students (53,9%) had a pretty good perception about online learning and (90,2%) stated that a mild level of anxiety. Moreover, there was no relation between perception about online learning with anxiety levels (p>0,05). Experience and knowledge become one factor that influences student perceptions—fairly good perception related to positive feelings to minimize anxiety. Besides that, internship nursing students have a good self-adaptation to the online learning transition period to not relate to anxiety. Further researchers can identify risk factors for causing anxiety in students.

Abstract

Waham merupakan salah satu gejala utama pada pasien skizofrenia yang ditandai dengan adanya gangguan pada pola, bentuk, dan isi pikir. Seseorang dengan waham memiliki penilaian yang buruk terhadap realita dan dipertahankan secara kuat dan terus-menerus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan asuhan keperawatan menggunakan terapi mindfulness dengan pendekatan spiritual untuk mengatasi masalah keperawatan waham. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan studi kasus melalui instrumen berupa prosedur asuhan keperawatan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling pada salah satu pasien yang dirawat di ruang kasuari. Adanya respon positif berupa komitmen dari pasien untuk melakukan upaya-upaya yang sudah diajarkan. Mulai dari terbukanya pikiran, mengurangi obrolan tentang isi wahamnya, tidak lagi sering tersenyum tanpa alasan, menerima kenyataan dan mengakui kesalahan yang sudah dilakukan di masa lalu. Terapi mindfulness dengan pendekatan spiritual sangat efektif dalam menurunkan gejala psikotik seperti waham serta gangguan psikologis lainnya. Terapi ini sangat cocok diterapkan pada pasien dengan waham karena berlandaskan cinta dan kasih sayang sehingga memberikan efek ketenangan bagi pasien. Delusion is one of the main symptoms in schizophrenic patients which is characterized by disturbances in the pattern, form, and content of thought. A person with delusions has a poor judgment of reality and is strongly and persistently defended. This study aims to describe care that uses mindfulness therapy with a spiritual approach to overcome delusional nursing problems. This research uses a case study design through an instrument in the form of nursing care procedures. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique on one of the patients treated in the cassowary room. There is a positive response in the form of a commitment from the patient to carry out the efforts that have been taught. Starting from an open mind, reducing conversation about the contents of his delusions, no longer smiling for no reason, accepting reality and admitting mistakes that have been made in the past. Mindfulness therapy with a spiritual approach is very effective in reducing psychotic symptoms such as delusions and other psychological disorders. This therapy is highly applied to patients with delusions because it is based on love and affection so that it provides a calming effect for patients.

Abstract

Patients with cataracts can experience psychological and physiological impacts; the physiological impact caused is discomfort in sight, while the psychological impact on patients is anxiety because they will have surgery on the eye. This study aims to analyze the effect of providing perioperative health education on the coping mechanisms of preoperative cataract patients. This study used a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and post-test research approach with a control group design. The research sampling technique used is consecutive. The sample in this study were cataract patients who were going to perform cataract surgery as many as 30 respondents. Analysis of the data used using the dependent t-test and independent t-test. This study's results indicate differences in coping mechanisms in the measurement of the treatment and control groups, with a p-value = 0.001. This study concluded that there were significant differences in coping mechanisms after being given perioperative health education in the treatment group and the control group. Nurses are expected to be able to apply health education to preoperative cataract patients so that the patient's coping becomes adaptive and ready for surgery

Abstract

The elderly with cognitive decline becomes more anxious, restless, and socially withdrawn, thus requiring special attention. Social and emotional support and moral and material support provided by relatives and friends will strengthen the elderly's daily lives. This study aims to analyze the relationship between peer social support and stress levels in the elderly. The research design in this study was quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 59 elderly living in the Tresna Werdha Social Institution. The measuring tool for this study used a Peer Social Support Questionnaire and the Stress Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ). The correlation test in this study used was the Spearman correlation test. The results of this study indicate that most of the elderly are in the moderate category of stress, with as many as 37 respondents (62.7%), and have peer social support in the positive category, namely 53 respondents (89.8%). Based on the Spearman correlation test, it was found that p-value = 0.001, which means that there is a correlation between peer social support and stress. Spearman's correlation value of -0446 indicates that the direction of the correlation is negative, with the strength of the relationship being. The higher the value of peer social support, the lower the stress on the elderly. Tresna Werdha Social Institution health workers can motivate the elderly so they can increase peer social support and improve programs that benefit the elderly.
