Abstract

This study explores the transformation of the Indonesian language on social media platforms by integrating advanced artificial intelligence techniques, including expert systems and machine learning algorithms. The rapid evolution of communication on platforms such as TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram has led to a dynamic shift in language use, characterized by increased creativity in slang, abbreviations, and code-mixing, alongside challenges in maintaining compliance with standard language norms. By applying intelligent systems capable of analyzing large volumes of social media data, this research aims to identify patterns of linguistic innovation and deviations from conventional language rules. The expert system framework supports automated detection and classification of language variations, while machine learning models enhance the accuracy and adaptability of language analysis over time. Findings indicate that AI-driven approaches can effectively balance the dual needs of fostering linguistic creativity and preserving language standards, providing valuable insights for language educators, policymakers, and digital content developers. The study underscores the potential of intelligent technologies to facilitate language monitoring and support efforts in maintaining the cultural identity of the Indonesian language amid the fast-paced digital communication landscape.

Abstract

The development of information technology that exists today is very rapid, making us to keep abreast of the development of these technologies. Technology is able to present all information quickly and instantly, leaving old patterns such as gathering information manually which may require more time. Information technology today is very effective and efficient as indicated by the speed of processing time and the accuracy of the information needed. One of them is the information about tourist attractions, which is currently increasingly in demand by people who want to vacation with friends, relatives and family. However, the lack of information about the location of attractions that want to be visited, especially for potential tourists from outside the area of Semarang, make the author interested in design and creating the Semarang City Geographic Tourism Information System Based on Android Mobile to facilitate the search for the nearest route to the desired tourist attraction. The method used is using the Geographic Information System based on the data from the Semarang City Culture and Tourism Service. The Semarang City Tourism Geographic Information System Based on Android Mobile is a solution to problem solving as a medium to obtain information and tourism locations in the Semarang, which is applied in Android Smartphone devices, especially for the people from outside the city of Semarang.

Sinar Purnama Sakti Semarang is an agent with a trading business that is engaged in the sale of Gas Oxygen (O2), Acyteline (C2H2), Carbondioxide (CO2) and Argon (Ar) experiencing problems, namely in the process of data processing sales of goods are still completely manual. This results in a good accumulation of transaction data, so that the efficiency and completeness of the data is not guaranteed. The purpose of this paper is to create an application that can help process data quickly and efficiently at PT. Sinar Purnama Sakti Semarang. This sales application is very helpful for users. With the new system in the sales application, it will make it easier to process data and make sales reports. In addition, PT. Sinar Purnama Sakti Semarang can also provide proof of payment in the form of a note. Performance of PT. Sinar Purnama Sakti Semarang becomes faster and more efficient after the sales application. So to simplify the sales information system is done with a computerized system. There are several programs that can be used in processing sales applications, one of which is the Visual Basic 6.0 program. Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 is one of the most popular programs used in programming. Many people have used it and many people already know it. As for storage, the author uses Microsoft Office Access. Based on the description above, the authors take the title in accordance with the need for data processing information in PT. Sinar Purnama Sakti Semarang.

Abstract

Javanese character (Hanacaraka) recognition presents significant challenges due to the intricate patterns and variations in character features. Addressing these issues is crucial for digitizing cultural heritage and supporting educational applications. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of cosine similarity as a distance metric for classifying Javanese characters, comparing its performance against traditional Euclidean and Manhattan distance metrics. The research used a feature-extraction technique based on the histogram of oriented gradients and evaluated cosine similarity across different classification models. Model performance was assessed using precision, recall, F1-score, and accuracy metrics. The results showed that cosine similarity, when combined with a support vector machine, achieved an accuracy of 99.84%, significantly outperforming other distance metrics. When applied to another classification model, cosine similarity improved accuracy to 90%, demonstrating its robustness in handling complex patterns. Parameter optimization was performed using a grid-based search, and model reliability was assessed through cross-validation. Compared with previous studies that primarily relied on deep learning, this research offers an alternative method that balances efficiency and accuracy while maintaining high interpretability. The findings establish a new benchmark for Javanese character recognition and highlight the potential of cosine similarity in broader applications. Future research can expand this study by incorporating more diverse feature extraction techniques, larger datasets, and hybrid approaches to further enhance recognition performance.

Abstract

Fraud detection on payment transactions is an extremely imbalanced, high-stakes classification task in which deployment decisions depend not only on ranking quality but also on reliable probability estimates. We study credit card fraud detection on a standard real-transaction benchmark (284,807 transactions; 492 frauds) and target two deployment requirements: cost-sensitive thresholding under asymmetric error costs and reliability calibration so model outputs can be interpreted as stable risk scores. We benchmark logistic regression and XGBoost and propose a focal-proxy reweighting scheme for boosted trees via iterative weight updates inspired by focal loss. Probabilities are calibrated on validation using Platt scaling, temperature scaling, and isotonic-style monotone calibration; the best calibrator is selected by minimum validation Brier score. For decision-making, we choose the operating threshold that minimizes expected cost, Cost(t) = 10 · FN(t) + 1 · FP(t), on validation, then evaluate on a held-out test set. On the benchmark split (train 199,364; validation 42,721; test 42,722), the calibrated XGBoost baseline achieves AUROC 0.973, AUPRC 0.812, fraud-class F1 0.767, and expected cost 154 with very low calibration error (ECE = 1.1 × 10⁻⁴). Overall, calibration reduces ECE and improves or maintains the Brier score, while cost-aware thresholding makes the FN/FP trade-off explicit via decision curves.
