Abstract

Penelitian ini berdasarkan permasalahan buku ajar yang menjadi referensi pada mata kuliah Metode Numerik belum sesuai dengan kurikulum Jurusan Tadris Matematika. Penyajian pada materi buku ajar tersebut bersifat pemberian informasi sehingga mahasiswa belum terbiasa mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya sendiri. Selain itu, mahasiswa terkendala dengan buku ajar yang sesuai dengan silabus, sehingga mereka belum bisa belajar secara mandiri. Berdasarkan hal tersebut diperlukan buku ajar yang bisa memfasilitasi proses konstruksi pengetahuan mahasiswa secara mandiri. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dilihat efektivitas buku ajar metode numerik berbasis konstruktivisme. Efektivitas buku ajar yang dimaksud yaitu dapat dilihat dari aktivitas, hasil belajar mahasiswa dan respon mahasiswa. Buku ajar ini disajikan dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme sehingga mahasiswa mampu membangun pemahaman secara mandiri dan mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap dosen. Hasil analisis efektivitas menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dalam perkuliahan menggunakan buku ajar berbasis konstruktivisme sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa buku ajar yang dikembangkan sudah efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan penalaran matematis peserta didik kelas VII MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition pada kelas VII MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan. 2) mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition pada kelas VII MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Randomized Control Group Only Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas eksperimen 79,94 sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah 69,97. Setelah dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan   0, 05 padaselang kepercayaan 95% diperoleh thitung (3,072) > ttabel (1,669) maka keputusannya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang belajar dengan pembelajaran biasa. 2) Kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik diperoleh nilai rata-rata peserta didik kelas eksperimen adalah 79,55 sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah 70,13. Setelah dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan   0, 05 pada selangkepercayaan 95% diperoleh thitung (2,683) > ttabel (1,669) maka keputusannya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang belajar dengan pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of learning media that is not in accordance with the characteristics of students, where currently in the learning process educators only use textbooks and LKPD. Educators lack innovation to develop learning media that are more modern and in accordance with the characteristics of students, such as developing media that uses the internet and digital technology as operating tools. Based on this, research was conducted on the development of mathematical e-comic media based on Contextual Teaching and Learning on social arithmetic material for class VII students who met the valid, practical, and effective criteria. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This study involved 7th-grade students of SMPN 1 Sintuk Toboh Gadang, 6 students were selected as the subject of the one-to-one evaluation and 12 as the small group trial. This research produces a valid, practical, and effective mathematical e-comic based on Contextual Teaching and Learning media. The results of this study indicate that the e-comic media meets the very valid criteria with an average validity of 88.05%, meets the very practical criteria with average practicality of 92.36% for educators and 90.02% for students, meets the effective criteria with acquisition of a complete percentage of 83.33 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to connect students' mathematical concepts in problem solving, to describe students' mathematical connection skills to other disciplines in problem solving, to describe students' mathematical connection skills to everyday life in problem solving in Integral Calculus lectures at IAIN Batusangkar. This type of research is mixed methods research, which is a research step by combining two forms of approaches in research, namely quantitative and qualitative. The approach that the author uses in this research is a quantitative and qualitative approach in a commensurate level to understand a phenomenon that is being studied. The qualitative approach aims to analyze and describe students' mathematical connection abilities in problem solving. While the quantitative approach is to see the category of students' mathematical connection abilities in problem solving. The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes and interview results. This test aims to determine the subject's connection ability in solving problems that have been given in learning. After doing the test and the results were analyzed by the researcher, the next step was for the subject to be interviewed related to the subject's ability to do the mathematical connection test. Furthermore, the test results are compared with the results of the interviews. The results showed: the ability to connect mathematics with other sciences (science fields) and the ability to connect mathematics with everyday life were included in the very good category. While the ability to connect between topics / concepts in mathematics is included in the medium category

Abstract

The implementation of mathematics learning activities in schools often faces several obstacles. One of these obstacles is the low motivation to learn mathematics owned by students. Various things cause low motivation to learn mathematics, ranging from incompetent teachers, inadequate learning facilities and infrastructure, mathematical anxiety owned by students, and an unsupportive learning environment. Low learning motivation will result in low learning outcomes obtained by students. Counseling guidance is one of the solutions used to overcome the problem of low student motivation to learn mathematics. By using the literature review research method, this study aims to determine the increase in students' mathematics learning motivation if given counseling guidance. Articles were collected and selected by utilizing existing search engines. Inclusion criteria in this process include counseling guidance to increase motivation to learn mathematics, research on junior high school students, and conducted in Indonesia between 2013 and 2023. The results showed that by using counseling guidance, there was an increase in students' motivation to learn mathematics

Abstract

Teachers’ domination in teaching Mathematics is one of many factors why students disliked to study it. To solve this problem, a good method has to be promoted in order to improve students’ motivation and their ability in Mathematics. This research was an experimental research through Guide Discovery Method.  The subject of the research was the eleventh grade students of Physical Science (IPA) of SMAN 2 Padang who were registered in 2007/2008 academic year. The research result showed that there was different abilities between the students after getting treatment in which the students who were taught through Guide Discovery Method had good abilities rather than the students who were taugh conventionally.Kata kunci: Metode Penemuan Terbimbing, Pembelajaran Matematika

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to develop textbook materials on constructivism-based numeric method.  This idea is based on the reality found the field that some textbook materials on that issue are not relevant anymore. This research used research and development using Plom model. The stages consist of front-end-analysis, prototype, and assessment. Data were validated using experts’ and practical validation. The textbook was validated by experts who were competence in their academic field. Based on the experts’ validation result, the textbook was deemed valid. Abstract

Several international surveys and national examinations show that learning Mathematics in Indonesia have not expected optimum result. This is not only indicated by students’ low test score only but also by their low interest and negative image on the subject. In response to the above phenomena, paradigm in education, especially in learning Mathematics begins to shift from learning that places students as passive knowledge receivers into facilitating them to construct active knowledge. This article discusses learning model of SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual) that promotes students’ active and independent learning based on PAKEM (active, creative, effective and fun learning). It is, therefore, expected that the offered model improve students’ interest and their image upon Mathematics subject as well.Kata kunci: pembelajaran matematika, model pembelajaran SAVI, pembelajaran berorientasi PAKEM.

Abstract

This study aims to create a valid product to support learning resources for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Sungayang, which is an interactive module. The module is designed in such a way that it can be accessed via android educators and students, so that it can make it easier for educators and students in implementing the online learning process. The type of research that researchers use is the type of research development or Research and Development (R&D) using the 4-D development model. This research only developed 3-D, due to time and cost limitations, and the research was carried out in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic, namely the define stage, design stage, development stage. The sample of this study was class VII at SMP Negeri 2 Sungayang. The research instrument consisted of: an interactive module validation sheet based on android. The data analysis technique is validation analysis. Based on the analysis of the research results, it was concluded that the interactive module based on android in class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Sungayang was valid. The general criteria aspects of the product are categorized as very valid with a percentage of 82.1%, aspects of the special criteria are categorized as very valid with a percentage of 81.25%, practical aspects are categorized as valid with a percentage of 77.08% and technical aspects are categorized as valid with a percentage of 72, 2%. Overall the android-based interactive module has an average percentage of 78.15% validity, which means it is included in the valid category.

Abstract

The ability of reversible mathematical thinking is important for students to support students in the process of learning, thinking and solving various reversible mathematical problems. This ability is needed to minimise the possibility of errors in solving mathematical problems. However, the fact is that students are still unable to master the ability of reversible thinking mathematically, so that students are unable to solve the given mathematical problems. The low ability of students' mathematical reversible thinking is the background in this study. The purpose of this study was to analyse the mathematical reversible thinking ability of students on the material of flat-sided space geometry class VIII at SMPN 8 Bukittinggi. This type of research is a descriptive method that uses a quantitative approach. The subject retrieval technique uses purposive sampling technique. The subjects in this study were 29 students of class VIII.3 at SMPN 8 Bukittinggi. The research instruments used were written tests and interviews. The data analysis technique used by researchers is descriptive statistical data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the ability of reversible thinking mathematical class VIII.3 students at SMPN 8 Bukittinggi is categorised as moderate. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that most students have not been able to master the ability of reversible thinking in flat-sided space geometry material.
