Abstract

In Product design process, aspects related to the manufacturing process and supply chain should be considered. The design is produced not only satisfy for consumers needs but it fulfilled the constraints related to manufacturingand supply chain aspects. This research aims to make a model to determine the cheapest product design from both of manufacturing process and supply chain. This research uses binary programming as an approach. The cost aspects used in this research are component’s manufacturing cost, supplier fixed contact cost, assembly operation cost and quality improvement cost. The result of research, a physical product design with the lowest total cost by combining components from several designs and adding the value constraint on the quality specification.

Abstract

The mandibular bone defect can cause speech disorder, mastication malfunction, and aesthetic problems. The application of plate for mandibular reconstruction can improve the function disorder. Plate material must be strong, resilient, able to adapt to the bone surface, and has good biocompatibility. Cobalt chromium is a cobalt base alloys are often used for implant materials. It has good mechanical properties, biocompatibility, and corrosion resistance. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of local irritation and tissue response on material cobalt chromium. This study used three albino rabbits were injected by the material powder in polar and nonpolar solvents with intracutaneous injection method, then the treatments were observed on the first, second, and third days. Erythema and edema that occurs were scored based on grading system for intracutaneous (intradermal) reactions. Friedmann test showed no significant difference between treatment groups (p> 0.05). The results showed that erythema and edema arising from irritant reactions are still within normal limits. Irritation occurs due to the release of cobalt chromium ions which trigger hypersensitivity reactions and result in systemic immunity.

Abstract

A solid freeform fabrication technique, aqueous based extrusion fabrication (ABEF), was investigated for the creation of three-dimensional lattice Hydroxyapatite scaffolds with pre-designed pore properties. An aqueous based Hydroxyapatite paste was extruded through a 0.8 mm nozzle, and deposited layer-by-layer at room temperature according to a computer-aided design (CAD) file. The morphology of green body and sintered body were characterized using digital microscope. The phase purity was analyzed using XRD. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was performed in order to understand the phase changes upon heating process and to determine HA stoichiometry. The current investigation confirms the possibility of producing three-dimensional lattice Hydroxyapatite scaffolds without any impurities as indicated by XRD and FTIR techniques. The morphology analysis of the structured macroporous Hydroxyapatite bioceramic shows interconnected macro pores and micro pores. It will give possibility for colonization of osteoblast in the pores, fibrovascular ingrowth and finally the deposition of new bone formation.

Abstract

There were eight local fried chickens in Special Disrict of Yogyakarta. It makes a question about what factors cause successful and unsuccessful local fried chicken. Then, a consumer survey that sought the level of customer satisfaction was done using a questionnaire. The survey involved 242 respondents that had eaten the local fried chicken. The result shows that the easiness of the outlet to be reached by the consumer and the products price that is competitive are the main factors to lead the local fried chicken to be successful in the market place.

Abstract

Program Studi Program Profesi Insinyur Fakultas Teknik Universitas Gadjah Mada (PSPPI FT UGM) telah mengembangkan sistem konversi dan sistem penilaian untuk program Rekognisi Pembelajaran Lampau (RPL) yang mengacu pada bakuan kompetensi Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (PII). Sistem penilaian RPL (SP RPL) ini telah diimplementasikan dalam proses penilaian RPL pada beberapa periode peserta PSPPI FT UGM. Paper ini fokus pada evaluasi hasil penilaian RPL menggunakan  SP RPL. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa SP RPL dengan sistem konversi yang diterapkan di PSPPI FT UGM merupakan prosedur dan sistem yang reliabel.Kata kunci : Sistem penilaian, RPL, PSPPI, Statistik

Abstract

Today, printing technology not only talking about paper, plastic, and the other flat media. Printing technology can make a three dimensional object like the picture at the soft file. Mostly, the printing technology is used to create or print a prototype object and object that is not mass-produced. The application of 3D printing technology can be found in industry, health, architecture, fashion, and even food. This research raises one of the techniques of 3D Printing technology. That is Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) which applies Material Extrusion process to build a three dimensional product. The material is filament made of thermoplastic material, metal wire, and other. The filament is inserted into the extruder part (extrusion head nozzle in 3D Printing machine) and melted by heating. Models are produced by extrusion of material streams that form layers and re-harden immediately. Extrusion process in making the model of the material will certainly cause a movement and vibration caused by the printing process is running. This article presents the results of vibration measurements on a 3D printer machine and the result of measuring the surface roughness level on the specimens of the printing process using a 3D printer C01. The Type is cartesian. In addition, this study aims to study and analyze the amount of vibration generated during the printing process takes place. It is associated with the impact that occurs on the quality of printing. With the monitoring during the printing process, it is expected to predict the level of quality of the printing results more early. However, the results of the measurements in this study was not seen any significant influence. The visible vibration is just on the X axis. Surface Roughness measurements for the first specimen, the specimens with 50% printing speed have an average surface roughness level of = 8,6485 μm. Specimens with 100% printing speed have an average surface roughness level of = 8.2893 μm. Specimens with 200% printing speed have an average surface roughness level of = 7.864 μm.

Abstract

Batik Nakula Sadewa merupakan usaha rumahan yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi Batik Cap dan Batik Tulis. Dalam persaingan di industri menyebabkan perusahaan maupun industri rumahan menerapkan lean manufacturing guna untuk mengurangi adanya pemborosan dalam sistem produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui waste apa yang paling dominan terjadi pada proses produksi Batik Cap. Untuk mengetahui waste yang ada dan paling dominan dilakukan penyebaran kuesioner dan perhitungan pembobotan kuesioner 7 waste. Hasil dari perhitungan tersebut waste yang paling dominan yaitu waiting dengan bobot 0,26 dan defect dengan bobot 0,24. Setelah mengetahui waste yang terjadi potensi proses yang sering terjadi waste tersebut yaitu proses pengecapan kain dengan data waktu non value added+necessary non value added yang tinggi di proses ini yaitu sebesar 1407,737 detik. Setelah itu dicari akar penyebab terjadinya waste menggunakan fishbone diagram dan dihasilkan penyebab dari waiting diantaranya kurang cekatan dan kurang disiplinnya operator, lingkungan alat cap bersih dan kotor kurang tertata rapi, pelabelan alat cap batik isian dan pinggiran yang belum ada. Sedangkan untuk waste defect disebabkan operator kurang fokus dan kurang disiplin, procedur pengecapan yang kurang sesuai standar serta kebersihan alat cap kurang diperhatikan dan alat cap yang kotor. Dari masalah tersebut diterapkan usulan perbaikan dengan pembuatan SOP pengecapan kain dan perawatan alat dengan penjadwalan pembersihan alat seminggu sekali yang dilaksanakan dihari sabtu dan perbaikan pada process activity mapping kemudian menghasilkan pengurangan waktu dimana hasil pengurangan cycle time sebesar 170,094 detik dan pengurangan lead time sebanyak 489,05 detik.

Abstract

The ceramics industry in Indonesia has a large contribution to the growth of various aspects in Indonesia. But in reality, there is still an imbalance between exports and imports for ceramic products. One way is to improve the quality of the ceramic industry in Indonesia. In fact, the ceramic quality inspection process in the ceramic industry is still done manually which can make mistakes in identifying defects. In this study, the design of variable identification system of ceramics was carried out specifically in the area of ceramics and dry spot defects on ceramic surfaces using image processing. Whereas to get a low error rate against the applicable variables, a design of experiment with the Taguchi approach is carried out. The results show that 50 cm distance, 300 lux light, 1x resize and 0.06 threshold can produce an image that has the smallest error value when identifying ceramic area and dry spot defects on the ceramic surface.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) adalah komponen penting dalam mendukung ketahanan infrastruktur di Indonesia. Secara umum sektor konstruksi adalah aktivitas yang mempunyai banyak risiko dan bahaya. Di Kabupaten Banjarnegara, angka kecelakaan kerja cenderung meningkat. Kajian mengenai K3 di Banjarnegara saat ini belum terlalu banyak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagai faktor yang berperan terhadap kesuksesan penerapan K3 jasa konstruksi pada pelaku jasa Konstruksi di Banjarnegara dan mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi masing-masing faktor tersebut terhadap kesuksesan penerapan K3 pada pelaku jasa konstruksi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan analisis data statistik dilakukan dengan uji regresi linear berganda dan uji struktural dengan software SPSS dan Smart PLS. Sampel dari penelitian ini yang diambil adalah proyek yang ada di Banjarnegara, dengan populasi sampel tenaga ahli K3, Site Manager dan Project Manager pada setiap proyek yang akan dijadikan penelitian. Dalam mengambil sampelnya dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka variabel Pengetahuan tentang K3, Paparan Sebelumnya Terkait Keselamatan Kerja, Pandemi Covid-19, Kepemilikan Sertifikat, Tingkat Pendidikan, Tekanan Pekerjaan, Penerapan Regulasi K3 Terbaru, hasilnya memiliki pengaruh dominan terhadap Kesuksesan Penerapan K3 di Banjarnegara. Sehingga dalam rangka meningkatkan ketahanan infrastruktur maka Pemerintah, Pelaku Jasa Konstruksi, dan Stakeholder terkait harus memperhatikan aspek-aspek tersebut.

Abstract

The advent of Industry 4.0 has become an integral part of the manufacturing industry, playing a crucial role in boosting competitiveness and enhancing productivity within companies. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), which contribute significantly to the national economy, must inevitably embrace the adoption of Industry 4.0 technology. However, the implementation of this technology at the SME faces numerous obstacles. To address these challenges and facilitate the transformation to Industry 4.0 in SMEs, this research aims to construct a comprehensive adoption strategy. Currently in its preliminary stage, the strategy development process primarily involves identifying stakeholders, their needs, and the goals they aim to achieve. Design thinking, specifically the empathize and define phase, is employed as the methodological approach. The information utilized in this study originates from systematic literature reviews conducted using PRISMA. The analysis of the gathered data has identified several stakeholders, including government entities, IT experts, management personnel, and employees. However, for the purpose of creating user personas, the focus is narrowed down to management and employees. User personas are instrumental in understanding the goals and potential obstacles faced by these individuals. The culmination of this stage is the formulation of a problem statement, which will be further refined in subsequent phases of the design thinking process.
