Abstract

Some   of the problems in preparing a wedding day are determining the venue, event concept, concept and others are very time-consuming. Wedding organizers are an option to overcome these problems; one of the wedding organizers in Samarinda is Galeri Shella, which has various wedding packages with facilities and prices, making it difficult for brides-to-be. To make it easier to make the right wedding package decision, a decision support system is made. The decision aims to provide wedding package recommendations with criteria that can be chosen by the bride and groom and their budget. The method used in this system is Multi-Objective Optimization of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) using six criteria catering, venue, decoration, documentation, makeup and price, as a reference calculation that can produce the best wedding package recommendations according to the wishes of the bride and groom. The research results show that the system functions well, is easy to use, and makes it easier for brides to choose wedding packages. From the results of accuracy testing, it is known that the results of manual calculations and the system make no difference, and this study obtained an accuracy value of 100%.

Abstract

Abstract

The degradation of air quality in numerous Indonesian cities is attributed to the swift proliferation of motorised vehicles, rapid population growth, and inadequate green spaces. Samarinda, the capital of East Kalimantan province, is plagued by high levels of pollution resulting from heavy vehicle exhaust emissions. The provision of accurate air quality information can mitigate respiratory issues. However, the public does not have access to air quality information due to the high cost of air quality measuring devices. Therefore, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air pollution monitoring system using ESP32 is needed to provide interactive and real-time information. This study tested the C4.5 algorithm to classify air quality data based on six measurement parameters: PM10, PM2.5, CO, O3, and NO2. PM10 and PM2.5 particles are the primary pollutants that significantly impact human health. The World Health Organization (WHO) has set an annual quality standard value of 20μg/m3 for PM10 and 10μg/m3 for PM2.5. Carbon Monoxide (CO) can reduce the blood's ability to carry oxygen, which can affect the function of vital organs such as the heart and brain. Ozone (O3) on the Earth's surface is a harmful pollutant that can damage the lungs and other respiratory systems. Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) can cause lung inflammation and lower immunity to infections, such as influenza and pneumonia. This study uses the C4.5 algorithm to classify air quality data based on these parameters, which are important for determining air quality. The results show that air quality is divided into two types: good and moderate, with different proportions each day. The C4.5 algorithm achieved a success rate of 99.5074% and a failure rate of 0.4926% when processing air quality data. It was effective in classifying air quality and processing data. An Internet of Things (IoT)-based air pollution monitoring system using ESP32 is needed to provide interactive and real-time information to the public.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is renowned for being a country rich in culture, one aspect of which is reflected in the diverse traditional houses found across its regions. Unfortunately, younger generations are becoming less familiar with this heritage due to monotonous and theoretical approaches in formal education. To address this issue, this study aims to develop an Android-based educational game that utilizes a drag-and-drop concept to introduce Indonesia’s traditional houses interactively. The game development process follows the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), consisting of six main stages: initiation, pre-production, production, testing (black box), beta testing, and release. Data were collected through a literature review of traditional houses, the GDLC method, and educational game development techniques. The resulting game, titled "Kiddo Match It! Traditional Houses," features an interactive map of Indonesia, an encyclopedia of traditional houses, a series of levels based on geographic regions, and a gameplay mechanic that involves matching images of traditional houses with their names. All stages of GDLC were implemented with a focus on visually engaging design and user-friendly navigation, specifically for users aged 8–15 years. Black box testing showed that most features functioned as intended, while beta testing indicated a user satisfaction rate of 91%, categorized as “Very Good.” This study produced a digital learning medium that introduces 34 traditional houses from all Indonesia provinces through a visual and interactive approach, making it a relevant educational tool for cultural preservation in today’s digital era.
