Abstract

Solving problems through legal channels is a normal part of Indonesian cosmology today. Even so, the purpose of legal justice which should provide peace and justice to both parties has not really been realized. Therefore, taking the case study of Sendang Village as a pilot project for the Village Restorative Justice project from the High Court and the State Prosecutor's Office. Even though Sendang village has made good progress in implementing restorative justice through "Omah Rembug Adil", in fact "Omah Rembug Adil" is experiencing obstacles due to the cosmology of the people of Sendang and Wonogiri villages who are familiar with legal channels as a settlement solution. Thus, this study discusses Jacques Derrida's concept of deconstruction and Michel Foucault's normalization to create a normality of restorative justice cosmology. Using qualitative methods and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) from April to June 2023 as an effort to map problems and potential local philosophies, this study has found that Javanese philosophy which is strong enough can be used as a tool in deconstructing and normalizing the cosmology of restorative justice for the people of Sendang village and Wonogiri. The implication can be carried out through the socialization of Javanese philosophy in the context of restorative justice. The form is seminars or FGDs targeting adults and youth, while [e-]comics for gen-z and millennials will be uploaded on various social media channels or formal education. Thus, this study succeeded in discussing the implication of solutions to the problems found by the "omah rembug adil"

Abstract

Moodle is an open-source learning management system (LMS) or e-learning platform that is designed to help educators create online courses with various features to facilitate learning. Interest in this research area has increased significantly in recent years, leading to an increasing number of schools employing this LMS. In the early stages of the development process, schools need to gain insights into user needs and generate new ideas for designing and developing interactive LMS. In this light, Design Thinking (DT) is viewed as an important approach. This study aimed to design and develop an online learning system based on Moodle to facilitate online learning for elementary school students. The objectives were to (1) design a system diagram, system architecture, and functional structure for facilitating online learning and (2) develop an interactive LMS using Moodle. The research methodology was conducted following the DT process. An evaluation was made to assess the usability of the system using the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ). Across dimensions such as system quality, information quality, and interface quality, scores ranged between 5 and 7, highlighting a positive user perception across various aspects of the evaluation. These findings, therefore, offer practical guidance for educational stakeholders in adopting and promoting Moodle-based LMS.

Abstract

Political thought has a crucial role in determining policies and shaping the ideal social order. In Indonesia, various ideologies are present, including Pancasila as the foundation of the state as well as the concepts of pluralism, nationalism, and democracy. Hamdan Zoelva's thought emphasizes the importance of the constitution as the basic norm of the state of law and the protector of human rights. Hamdan criticized liberalism and capitalism which he considered could erode the values of Pancasila in Indonesia's political and economic system. In his book Constitutional Struggle, he warns that the dominance of capitalism must be controlled according to the principles of Pancasila. This research aims to 1) understand Hamdan Zoelva's political journey, and 2) find out the causes of his political thinking about the constitution. The research data includes primary and secondary sources, processed through interviews and documentation. The validity of the data was checked by examining Hamdan's background, such as his curriculum vitae, education, influence, and political and cultural conditions at the time. The results of the study show that Hamdan Zoelva sees the constitution as the will of the people that must be respected. He emphasized the role of the Constitutional Court (MK) in maintaining the balance of power and protecting human rights. However, Hamdan criticized the amendment to the 2024 Constitutional Court Law which he considered threatening the independence of judges.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the role of local politics and socio-cultural forces in public information disclosure and offer both theoretical and practical contributions to corruption prevention efforts in Indonesia. This study employs Michel Foucault's concept of biopower as a framework to analyze and assess the political and sociocultural forces at play in Sendang village's relationship with public information transparency. The results show that the village government can serve as an important model in the implementation of transparency and accountability, as well as increasing community participation in the decision-making process. In addition, the results of this analysis show that, when properly implemented, public disclosure can be an important mechanism to facilitate more responsive and participatory governance. The contribution of this study lies in providing new insights into how local governments can be integrated into village government structures and how communities can be empowered through access to information.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the empty ballot in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) of Brebes Regency attracted significant public attention after receiving 341,407 votes (40.4%), while voter turnout reached only 58.27%, the lowest participation rate in Central Java. This study aims to describe the Empty Ballot Movement as a form of protest voting by employing a qualitative method involving 15 informants, consisting of the movement's leader, community leaders, volunteers, and residents. The findings reveal that the movement emerged as a response to dissatisfaction with local democracy, driven by three main factors: the dominance of oligarchic politics that produced a single-candidate election through the consolidation of political party support; the perception that the sole candidate represented a political dynasty due to connections with former officials previously implicated in corruption cases; and the proposed IDR 13,000 shallot price policy, which was perceived as harmful to farmers. The Empty Ballot Movement successfully garnered public sympathy and became a symbol of protest voting against political practices regarded as undemocratic.
