Abstract

Kecamatan Brondong, Lamongan adalah salah satu daerah yang berbatasan langsung dengan laut Jawa bagian utara, dimana terdapat Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) terbesar di Jawa Timur. Kondisi geografis ini, dimanfaatkan sebagian besar masyarakatnya bermata pencaharian sebagai nelayan. Kegiatan penangkapan ikan oleh nelayan Brondong, dilakukan selama satu hingga dua minggu di laut dengan risiko kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi ditambah dengan jauhnya jarak untuk kembali ke daratan, jika terjadi kecelakaan maka korban akan susah mendapatkan penanganan medis. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian bertujuan memberikan upaya preventif untuk meminimalisasi risiko kecelakaan kerja nelayan, melalui media poster guna meningkatkan kewaspadaan pada nelayan Brondong Lamongan. Penelitian menggunakan model ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation) karena bersifat sistematis dan evaluatif, sehingga dapat meminimalisasi kekurangan hasil perancangan. Penerapan poster dibagikan secara digital melalui grup komunitas nelayan Brondong di WhatsApp dan papan informasi di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN). Abstract

Poster merupakan salah satu elemen penting dalam mempromosikan sebuah film. Oleh karena itu sebuah poster film harus didesain dengan sebaik-baiknya agar dapat menarik minat audiens untuk menonton film tersebut. Poster dari film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch yang memiliki unsur budaya dimana film tersebut berlatar belakang dan karakteristik unsur-unsur desain seperti warna, layout, gambar, logo, dan tipografi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna tanda yang terkandung pada poster film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisa menggunakan tinjauan desain. Tinjauan desain meliputi empat tahapan, yakni deskripsi, analisis formal, interpretasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan ada unsur-unsur visual yang memiliki makna / intrepetasi yang masing-masing dengan artinya tersendiri dan beberapanya memiliki keterkaitan dengan fenomena yang terjadi di kehidupan nyata. Keterkaitan tersebut dapat dilihat dari kesamaan antara objek atau bentuk aktivitas yang terjadi pada visual poster dan pada kehidupan nyata. Seperti tampak ada lampu tiang pada poster, yang merupkan penerang jalan di negara asal penulis dari novel yang menjadi sumber utama adaptasi film ini, yakni Inggris. Kemudian terdapat juga kereta kuda, di mana pada jaman dahulu sering digunakan untuk perang. Bedanya, pada film ini kereta kuda tersebut ditarik oleh beruang kutub, sehingga menimbulkan intrepetasi terhadap alasan menggunakan beruang kutub menggantikan kuda untuk berperang pada film ini yang bisa ditemukan setelah melakukan penelitian terhadap poster film tersebut. Poster ini juga memenuhi kebutuhan promosi film pada masa itu, sehingga mengundang ketertarikan dan rasa penasaran audiens untuk menonton filmnya. Kata kunci: Tinjauan Desain, Poster Film, semiotika

Abstract

Kota Surabaya menjadikan "Sparkling Surabaya" sebagai city branding yang menggambarkan semangat untuk memperkenalkan kepada masyarakat luas dan para wisatawan tentang pesona kota ini. Selain itu, fasilitas umum seperti taman kota Surabaya juga semakin meningkatkan daya tariknya. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang taman kota tersebut adalah dengan memberikan identitas yang khas, seperti melalui penggunaan tipografi yang menarik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan visual tipografi pada ruang publik khususnya taman kota di Surabaya dan lebih difokuskan pada penerapan tipografi huruf dalam ruang terbuka dengan menggunakan pendekatan Environment Graphic Design. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pada proses penelitian menggunakan tinjauan visual yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu, deskriptif, analisis formal, interpretasi dan evaluasi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah Setiap taman memiliki keunikan masing-masing yang disesuaikan dengan tema dan karakteristik lingkungan fisiknya. Pemilihan tipografi yang tepat dalam desain Environment Graphic Design (EGD) pada taman-taman kota Surabaya memegang peranan penting dalam menyampaikan informasi dan membangun identitas visual yang kuat. Abstract

Kampoeng Dolanan Surabaya is one of the communities that actively introduces traditional Indonesian games. In this Community Service program, the team will help increase the selling value of traditional toys through packaging design innovations in Kampoeng Dolanan, a community that preserves traditional games in Surabaya. The focus of this activity was the Sociopreneur division, Dolipstore, which faced challenges in attracting the attention of the audience due to the unattractive packaging of the product. Through a series of stages, namely feasibility studies, coordination, design, and partner assistance, an illustrative packaging design for traditional toys such as boats, bekel balls, marbles, tops, and yoyos was produced. The results include an increase in the visual appeal of the product, the expansion of marketing to the mall. This program not only has a positive impact on improving the partners' economies, but also supports the preservation of local culture. In conclusion, illustrative packaging design is an effective solution in increasing the market value and competitiveness of traditional toy products.

Abstract

Dapur Uti Pah is a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) operating in the food and beverage sector in Sidoarjo Regency, Indonesia. Despite offering high-quality catering services, the business faced challenges in promotional effectiveness due to outdated packaging, limited promotional media, and suboptimal use of digital platforms. The objective of this research was to design and implement integrated promotional media to strengthen Dapur Uti Pah’s promotional media, expand market reach, and enhance customer engagement. The study applied a qualitative participatory action research (PAR) design involving collaboration between researchers and the business owner. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), field observations, interviews, documentation reviews, and customer surveys. The intervention consisted of developing digital media, including social media content, as well as printed media such as redesigned logos, packaging, banners, and uniforms. The results showed a significant improvement in brand visibility and customer interaction, reflected in increased social media engagement, order volume, and customer satisfaction. The study concludes that modern and consistent promotional media combined with digital marketing strategies can effectively improve MSME competitiveness and market sustainability in the catering industry.

Abstract

The Comodification of Folktale on Stamps in Indonesia. The commodification of folktales on stamps can generate a negotiation between the local culture and the cultural-political interest that benefits the government. Stamp does not only function as a payment device in correspondence or merely to be collected. Moreover, stamp is a site full with the complexity of meanings, messages, and interests. A long series of story is condensed by presenting only the essence of the story and the main meaning. That is why it is hoped that the stamp design simply illustrates the key scene. For PT Pos, it is really hoped that the publishing of the folktales stamps did not stop in 2005, but it can be continued by introducing stories from various regions. Keywords: Perangko, filateli, folk stamp.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to assist the government in providing and distributing face shields for medical personnel at referral hospitals to treat covid-19 patients. At first we analyzed the problems with partners (hospitals and community health centers). The results of the analysis show that hospitals and health centers lack a helmet-face shield for medical personnel to treat covid-19 patients. Based on the results of discussions and requests from the partner. Then the design is carried out to manufacture a helmet-face shield. There are 2 PPE made, The first type is only a face shield and the second type is obtained a helmet design that is equipped with a face shield or can be called a helmet-face shield. At the end of the activity, questionnaires were distributed to respondents consisting of doctors, nurses and other medical personnel. Respondents were selected randomly in health facilities in Batu, East Java. The response from medical personnel has generally been positive. This can be seen from the questionnaires distributed to respondents. More than 90% of the results of the questionnaire stated that helmet-face shield and face shield products could be accepted by health workers.

Abstract

The rise of TikTok is particularly relevant in the food industry, where engaging visual content communicates product appeal. This study analyzes how halal food is represented in the TikTok account @amiirahanugrah, specifically regarding 7-Eleven Thailand products. The purpose is to identify the main themes and strategies used in presenting halal food. Using qualitative content analysis on three selected videos, the study reveals that the creator effectively acts as a "micro-halal ambassador" by integrating Islamic values into lifestyle content. The main findings indicate that halal perception is co-constructed through three key strategies: (1) the use of verbal religious expressions (e.g., Bismillah, Alhamdulillah) in non-ritual contexts; (2) visual transparency by displaying halal logos and ingredients; and (3) the demonstration of Islamic etiquette (adab) such as handwashing. Furthermore, audience analysis shows a mechanism of "social halal validation," where followers rely on trust in the creator's consistent persona and emotional tone rather than demanding formal verification, thereby effectively promoting cross-cultural halal tourism.
