Abstract

Abstract : The aims study is to describe the level of creative thinking ability of students in grade XI SMAN 1 Pekanbaru on physics subject. The type of research used is survey research. Data results analysis of this study use descriptive analysis, which gives an idea of the level of creative thinking ability. The subjects of this study are 87 students from grade XI. The data obtained in this study is the percentage of average level of students' creative thinking ability in solving physics problems. The instrument is developed based on indicators of creative thinking ability. The data is then categorized was according to the category of creative thinking ability level with indicators of the fluency thinking ability, the flexibly thinking ability, the originality thinking ability, and the elaboration thinking ability. Based on data analysis, it is found that the average percentage of each indicator of creative thinking ability is 71,91 for indicator of fluency and flexible thinking ability, 51,65 for original thinking indicator, and 60,06 for elaboration capability. The average percentage of creative thinking ability of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru is 76.00% with high category.Keywords : Creative Thinking Ability, Problem Solving

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of using the PhET Simulation application on learning activities so that it can improve students' cognitive physics learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMPN 4 Ukui with the research subjects being students of class IX A and IB. The number of students in class IX A is 25 students and class IX B is 25 students. The type of research in this research is a quasi-experimental research. The data collection technique used in this study was a test by giving a posttest. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis technique. The results obtained in this study are that the implementation can improve students' cognitive physics learning outcomes in terms of the mean, median and mode class IX A is superior to Class IX B. The average value of class IX A is 83.38 which is included in the very high category with a median value is 82.84 and modus value is 84.5 and in class IX B the average value is 68.73 which is in the high category range with media value is 66.42 and modus value is 67.5. The conclusion of this research is that there is an effect of applying the PhET Simulation application to the cognitive physics learning outcomes of SMPN 4 Ukui students, which can improve students' cognitive physics learning outcomes on electrical circuit material.Keywords: Application, PhET Simulation, Cognitive Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to describe how the students' problem solving skills through the implementation of the model SOLO (the structure of the observed learning outcomes) in physics learning in class XI traffic Interest Physics SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru in November until January 2016 using One shot chase study design. Subjects consisted of 38 students consisting of 15 male students and 23 female students. Data was collected by giving the test description about 5 question in the end of the study with the implementation of SOLO. From the results of the research showed that the student's skills in solving problems is very low category with an average score of 63. The skills of students at the stage of understanding the problem is the very high category with an average score of 90. The skills of students in the planning stages of problem solving are the very low category with an average score of 56. The skills of students at the stage of implementing the settlement of the problem is the very low category with an average score of 65. And the skills of students on stage to re-examine the solution in the category are very low with an average score at 41. It can be concluded that the learning model SOLO ineffective to train problem-solving skills in learning physics class XI traffic interest Physics SMAN 12 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Physics, Problem Solving Skills, SOLO Model

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the practicality of faraday legal symptom experimental devices as a medium for high school physics learning. The research method used is research and development. In this study faraday legal experimental devices were tested on 20 students and 2 teachers MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Based on the data analysis, the practicality of the experimental device according to the teacher was obtained that the experiment tools and LKPD could help facilitate the teachers in the faraday legal learning process by obtaining the practicality value of the products in the very high category. The results of practical tests according to students, the experimental device provides convenience in studying the laws of faraday with the acquisition of practical scores in the very high category. Based on the data obtained, the experimental tools and student worksheets are very practical for students and teachers to use in the learning process.Key Words: Faraday law, student worksheets, practicality.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce a valid and practical light refraction device so that it is feasible to be used as a learning media for junior high school science. This research method is Research and Development (R & D) with the ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implication-Evaluation) development model. The object of this research is a trial device consisting of a light refraction experiment tool and student worksheets. The research data was obtained from the results of validation by 3 lecturers of physics education study programs, 2 junior high school science teachers as validators and 10 student. Validation is carried out through two stages, stage I of the validation is improvement and stage 2 of the validation is subsequent assessment after the device is declared valid, the device is tested on a limited basis to see the practicality of the device. Data were analyzed descriptively to determine the value of the practical validity of the experimental device. The results of data analysis obtained : the validation of the experiment tool 3.74 with very valid validity level and the assessment of the experiment student worksheet 3.82 with a very valid validity level, the practical assessment of the 3.56 experiment tool with the very practical category and the assessment of the worksheet experimental students 3.61 in a very practical category. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the light refraction experiment device developed can be declared valid and practical so that it is feasible to be used as a learning medium for Junior High School science.Keyword: Development, Trial Device, Light Refraction.

Abstract

Absract: Blended learning module is a module whose application can be done in two learning: face to face learning and also on online learning. The purpose of this research is to design and produce a valid blended learning module on electromagnetic radiation material as a source of learning physics in class XII in high school and this research uses Google Classroom as a learning management system. This research is expected to be used to facilitate teachers to apply blended learning as well as alternative learning. Research of development module used is research with the ADDIE model. This research is limited to the development stage that has been done validation of module because the researcher does not examine the effectiveness of learning activities in the class with the modules developed. The results of the study gave the conclution that the blended learning module developed on the electromagnetic radiation material for class XII are valid and can be used in learning to support the teaching and learning process so to be better.Keywords: Module, Blended Learning, Electromagnetic Radiation, and Google Classroom

Abstract

Abstract : The research aims to obtain information about the process of science skills in learning physics in school year 2013/2014 school classroom eleven senior high school located in the city of Pekanbaru by using the method of survey. The results obtained on the physics teacher as follows: review of preparation of teachers in learning is 72% of teacher overall have done this stage with high category appropriate with the opinion given by head of school. Review of the application of the science process skills by teachers that 72% of teachers overall said had done a science process skills with high category, while the students argued that the teachers applying of science process skills amounted to 62% with enough categories. At this stage of the evaluation obtained that 70% of teachers overall said had done an evaluation which oriented of science process skills with high category, while the students argued that the teachers evaluate 65% with enough categories.Key words : survey, the enforceability of science process skills in the teaching of physics

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to develop learning materials for cooperative learning models of auditory intellectually repetition (AIR) learning model on work and energy for class X high school students. Device development was carried out as a solution to improve conceptual mastery in physics learning. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) using a 4D model, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. The data collection instrument was in the form of a validation sheet given to three validators. The data analysis technique was obtained by using a validation assessment score to determine the feasibility of the learning device. The results showed that the learning device of cooperative learning learning model type auditory intellectually repetition (AIR) on the work and energy for class X high school students that was developed met the valid criteria from the aspects that were validated including aspects of RPP feasibility, LKPD feasibility aspects and feasibility aspects of Concept Mastery Instruments.Key Word : learning devices, cooperative learning learning model type auditory intellectually repetition (AIR), Work and Energy

Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to determine differences in students physics problem solving abilities between classes applying the problem posing learning model and the class applying conventional learning. The kind of research use is was quasy experiment with Two-Group Posttest-Only Design. The subject of study is learners class X MIPA Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru academic year 2018 /2019, consisting of class X MIPA.2, Was a class the experiments were 35 students and class X MIPA.3 as a class control by 35 students. The research instruments used is about a test questions to solve physics problems. Data collection technique in this research by giving a test of the ability to solve physics problems after learning held on the class. The data is analysed in descriptive to see the results of students problem solving ability scores and analysed in inferential using the T test. The results showed that there are significant differences between the students physics problem solving abilities in the learning class and the problem posing learning model with the conventional class of straight-motion material. The average score of students physics problem solving ability of students who learn with problem posing models is higher than conventional learning..Key Words: Problem Posing, Problem Solving Ability, Straight Motion

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the relationship of the ability in drawing free body diagrams with cognitive ability of students on balance and dynamic rotation materials. Correlational study was used as research method, the ability to draw free body diagrams was defined as independent variable while dependent variable was students’ cognitive ability. Primer data was obtained directly from the sample by using the ability of drawing free body diagram and cognitive ability students test instruments. Coefficient of correlation between those variables was 0.656, it can be catagorized in high level. According to regression analysis, the coefficient of regression was +3,682, means that independent and dependent variable have a positive relation. Coefficient of determination was 43%, it showed that the contribution of the ability in drawing free body diagrams to cognitive ability students is 43%. Significancy test indicated that there was a significant influence between both of variables. Based on that, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relation between the ability in drawing free body diagrams and cognitive ability students on balance and dynamic rotation materials of senior high school physics subject.Keywords : Ability to draw free body diagrams, balance and dynamics rotation, cognitive ability, physics learning
