Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of low student engagement and limited achievement levels in Science, Environment, and Social Studies (IPAS) learning. To address this issue, the research aims to enhance learning processes and outcomes by implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in a fourth-grade elementary classroom. He used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design with the Kemmis and Taggart model in two cycles, consisting of involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations, tests, and questionnaires with 10 fourth-grade students at SDN 86/II Timbolasi. Data were analysed using qualitative descriptive techniques for observations and questionnaires. Researchers also conducted quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics. The study revealed notable improvements from Cycle I to Cycle II, demonstrating the effectiveness of implementing Problem-Based Learning in enhancing teaching quality and student outcomes. Teacher performance increased significantly from 55% in Cycle I to 90% in Cycle II. Likewise, student engagement rose markedly, from 70% in Cycle I to 90% in Cycle II, with the latter categorised as "very good." These changes were then evaluated and reflected in the second cycle initiative planning, leading to instructional strategy refinement. The research was conducted with a small sample size in a single rural school, which may limit the generalizability of the findings. However, the results provide valuable guidance for integrating PBL with interactive media to improve student-centred learning. This study offers empirical evidence of PBL’s effectiveness in interdisciplinary elementary education within rural contexts, highlighting the role of facilitative teaching strategies and multimedia integration in fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and deeper understanding among young learners.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low student participation and suboptimal learning outcomes in the Pancasila Education subject for Grade V students at SDN 130/II Pasir Putih. The learning process tended to be monotonous as it relied solely on textbooks, without the support of engaging instructional media. To address this issue, the study aimed to improve the learning process and student outcomes by implementing the cooperative learning model of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type assisted by animation media. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings, covering the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 20 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through teacher and student activity observations, as well as learning outcome tests, and analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in both the learning process and outcomes. Teacher activity observation scores increased from 76% in the first cycle to 95.8% in the second cycle. Student activity also improved from 70.8% to 91.7%. Furthermore, the number of students who achieved a score of ≥70 increased from 12 students (60%) in the first cycle to 17 students (85%) in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together model assisted by animation media is effective in enhancing the quality of the learning process and outcomes in Pancasila Education

Abstract

The research is based on the monotonous process of learning mathematics, in addition to finding that teachers do not use image media in teaching, and there are still students who consider mathematics learning difficult. The purpose of the research is to improve the process and outcomes of learning by using Example Non Example in Mathematics education for 5th grade at SDN 025/II Muara Bungo. This research is classroom action research (CAR) conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The subjects of the research are 15 students from 5th grade at SDN 025/II Muara Bungo, consisting of 9 boys and 6 girls. The results of the study show an improvement in the process and outcomes of students through Example Non Example. The results of the teacher observation sheet in cycle I were 80% and in cycle II increased to 95%. The results of the student observation sheet in cycle I were 70% and in cycle II increased to 96.5%. The results of the test scores in cycle I were 60% and in cycle II were 80%. It can be concluded that Example Non Example can improve the process and learning outcomes in Mathematics education.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara sangatlah menjadi polemik dalam dunia pendidikan. Teknik untuk melakukan proses berbicara di tingkat sekolah dasar masih belum sesuai dengan kaidahnya, masih banyak peserta  didik dalam  proses berbicara yang menyampaikan gagasan belum lancar dan jelas, serta sikap dan Fokus pada pembicaraan tidak terlihat dalam proses berbicara. Hal  ini  berdampak  kepada  teknik berbicara peserta didik terhadap  keterampilan berbicara. Penelitian  ini bertujuan  untuk  meningkatkan  keterampilan  berbicara dengan teknik yang benar melalui  Sistem Therapy Doll (SPIDOL) pada peserta  didik kelas V. Penelitian  dilaksanakan  di  SDN 81/II Cadika Kec.Bungo,  melibatkan 18 orang peserta didik terdiri atas 12 orang laki-laki dan 8 orang perempuan yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Arikunto yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Di mana pada setiap siklus dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan di kelas dan setiap siklus terdiri empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tindakan siklus I diperoleh daya serap individual 40.80% dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 24.01%. Dan  terjadi  peningkatan  pada  siklus  II  dengan  perolehan  daya  serap  klasikal  70.40% sedangkan   ketuntasan   belajar   klasikal   70.27%. Dengan   demikian   dapat   disimpulkan   bahwa pembelajaran  dengan  menggunakan  dapat  meningkatkan  kemampuan peserta  didik keterampilan berbicara melalui sistem therapy doll (SPIDOL) di kelas V Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning process and outcomes of Mathematics in grade VI at SDN 169/II Lubuk Telau, this is evidenced by the results of initial observations conducted by researchers from 10 students only 40.00% obtained scores in the achievement criteria. The cause is the learning process is still centered on the teacher and the learning model used by the teacher is not varied. The purpose of the research is to improve the learning process and outcomes of Mathematics using the Student Teams Achievement Division model.The research method used in this study is classroom action research, the subjects of this study were 10 sixth grade students of SDN 169/II Lubuk Telau. In the implementation of the research conducted by the researcher consisted of 2 cycles. Each cycle consisted of 2 meetings, each meeting consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation/action, observation/observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in the first semester of the 2025 academic year at SDN 169/II Lubuk Telau. The research data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of the Student Teams Achievement Division model can improve the process and results of Mathematics learning in class VI of SDN 169/II Lubuk Telau. This can be seen from the increase in educator observations in cycle I with an average percentage of 83.25% and in cycle II with an average percentage of 94.4% with the Very Good category. The increase in the student learning process, in cycle I reached 62.5% categorized as Fairly Good and in cycle II increased to 82.5% with the Good category. The increase in student learning outcomes in cycle I reached 40% categorized as Very Poor and cycle II reached 80% with the Good category.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran Jigsaw berbantuan media puzzle adalah salah satu strategi pembelajaran kooperatif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kerja sama peserta didik dalam proses belajar dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran puzzle guna membangun semangat peserta didik untuk mencoba memecahkan masalah, karena media tersebut menarik dan mengajak peserta didik untuk menyesuaikan potongan gambar puzzle. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan media puzzle terhadap hasil belajar Matematika peserta didik kelas IV di SD Negeri 101/II Muara Bungo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan media puzzle dan kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Data hasil belajar matematika dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar matematika peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan media puzzle dengan peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan metode konvensional. Hasil penelitian diperoleh Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,01<0,05 yang berarti ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan media puzzle terhadap hasil belajar Matematika peserta didik Kelas IV di SD Negeri 101/II Muara Bungo.

Abstract

This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in third-grade students at Muhammadiyah Elementary School in Muara Bungo. The background of the study was the low reading-aloud ability of students, with an average initial score of 68, still below the school's minimum completion standard of 75. To address this problem, the Picture and Picture learning model was used with the aim of improving students' reading-aloud skills, particularly on weather topics. The study was conducted in two cycles, each encompassing planning, action, observation, and reflection. Sixteen students participated. Data collected consisted of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained through observations of the model's implementation and students' reading-aloud activities. Quantitative data came from the results of students' reading-aloud tests. The results showed that the Picture and Picture model was implemented effectively. Students' reading-aloud test scores improved from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, student completion was 56%, increasing to 87% in cycle II, exceeding the completion standard. This improvement demonstrates that the Picture and Picture model is effective in improving students' reading aloud abilities. This model has also been shown to increase student engagement and focus during the learning process, thus helping them achieve optimal reading aloud skills.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the quality of the mathematics learning process and outcomes of grade III students of SDN 174/II Apung Ilir through the application of the Make a Match learning model assisted by congklak media. The method used is Class Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, with each cycle including the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection is carried out through learning outcome tests, student activity observation sheets, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in both indicators measured. The average score of student learning outcomes increased from 75.00 in the first cycle to 83.18 in the second cycle, with a learning completeness rate of 90.91%. Student activities also showed development, from the category of "quite active" in cycle I to "very active" in cycle II. These findings are in line with the results of previous research showing that the application of an interactive learning model with the support of contextual media is able to increase motivation, engagement, and understanding of mathematical concepts. Therefore, the Make a Match model assisted by congklak media is recommended as an alternative to mathematics learning strategies in elementary schools to encourage active participation and improve students' academic achievement.
