Abstract

Keefektifan Metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summerize, Test) dalam Membaca Pemahaman Teks Bacaan Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah “bagaimana Keefektifan Metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summerize, Test) dalam Membaca Pemahaman Teks Bacaan Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa?”.  Penelitian ini adalah Eksperimen. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar membaca pemahaman dengan penggunaan metode  PQRST (preview, question, read, summerize, test) dalam  teks bacaan mata pelajaran Indonesia yang diberikan kepada siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa tahun ajaran 2016/2017 dan jumlah siswa 40 orang. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes hasil belajar untuk melihat keberhasilan belajar siswa setelah pembelajaran menggunakan metode PQRST (preview, question, read, summerize, test).

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah metode Outing Class efektif terhadap kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan metode Outing Class terhadap kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif atau eksperiment (pre- eksprimental design) dengan desain one-grup pretest-posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas V SD yang berjumlah 11 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah teks menulis karangan deskripsi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, analisis data dan pembahasan, maka metode belajar Outing Class dapat mempengaruhi keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas V SD, yang dapat dilihat dari perbandingan tes hasil pretest dan posttest. Tes hasil belajar siswa pada saat Pre-test paling banyak berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase 90,9% saat post-test paling banyak berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 36,36%. Hasil perhitungan dengan analisis uji t setelah Thitung = 4,579 dan Ttabel = 2,228 maka diperoleh Thitung ˃ Ttabel atau 4,579˃2,228 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Ini berarti bahwa metode belajar Outing Class dalam proses pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas V SD.

Abstract

This research aims to find out if there is an influence of the Mystery Box media on the ability to write narrative essays in Indonesian language lessons for fifth grade students at SD Inpres Tamattia, Gowa Regency. The type of research used is pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. With a total of 20 students. The research instrument was a narrative essay writing test. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the research show that there is an influence of using mystery box media on the ability to write narrative essays in Indonesian language lessons for fifth grade students at SD Inpres Tamattia. This can be seen in the increase in grades obtained by students. The average value of the pretest results before applying the mystery box media was 47.40. After implementing the mystery box media, the posttest score reached 89.30. Furthermore, the results of inferential analysis using the t-test show that the tcount value > tTable value or 13.976 > 2.093 so that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the mystery box media influences the ability to write narrative essays in Indonesian language lessons for fifth grade students at SD Inpres Tamattia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media aplikasi webtoon terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas IV SDN No.138 Inpres Mangulabbe Kecamatan Mappakasunggu Kabupaten Takalar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan one-grop pre-test and post-test design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN No. 138 Inpres Mangulabbe Kecamatan Mappakasunggu Kabupaten Takalar. Teknik sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu sampel dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh (penuh) atau sampling total. Jadi pada penelitian ini akan menggunakan seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN No. 138 Inpres Mangulabbe Kecamatan Mappakasunggu Kabupaten Takalar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data pada penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh media aplikasi webtoon terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas IV SDN No. 138 Inpres Mangulabbe. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata pada pre-test yang hanya memperoleh 46,93 dan pada post-test memperoleh sebesar 80,60. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis independent sampel t-test, nilai Sig. (2-tailed) equel variance assumed memperoleh 0,000 yang menunjukkan bahwa 0,000 < 0,05 atau dengan kata lain H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh media aplikasi webtoon terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas IV SDN No. 138 Inpres Mangulabbe Kecamatan Mappakasunggu Kabupaten Takalar.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in educational settings has become increasingly prevalent, particularly in the realm of language learning In English context. This study aims to investigate the utilization of ChatGPT, an AI-powered conversational agent, in enhancing academic writing skills among Indonesian higher education students, specifically in the context of English language learning. Through a mixed-methods approach, including surveys and qualitative analysis of student writings, this research explores the effectiveness and impact of ChatGPT in assisting students with their academic writing tasks. he research findings indicate that ChatGPT is predominantly utilized in completing academic tasks, particularly in composing scholarly papers. Furthermore, Chat GPT is perceived as user-friendly with a high level of accuracy in locating relevant literature for assignments. The findings of this study contribute to the growing body of literature on AI integration in education and provide insights into the practical implications of using Chat GPT as a learning tool in English language education

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Smart Board learning media and its effectiveness in improving early reading skills among first-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Gu, Central Buton Regency. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 15 students, and the data were collected through observations and oral tests, then analyzed descriptively using percentage techniques. The results showed that the Smart Board media increased students’ learning activity and early reading ability. Mastery learning improved from 40% in Cycle I to 86.66% in Cycle II, surpassing the classical mastery criterion of 80%. Students also demonstrated higher motivation, participation, and accuracy in recognizing letters and reading simple words. Thus, the Smart Board effectively enhances early reading skills in first-grade students

Abstract

Community service is one of the pillars of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which not only aims to improve the quality of education and research, but also makes a real contribution to the welfare of the community. This research aims to examine the role of community service in the context of community empowerment through various programs implemented by universities. This service includes providing training, guidance, and solutions to social, economic, and educational problems in the community. The results of the study show that community service integrated with academic activities can have a sustainable positive impact on the community and enrich the student experience.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of use of learning media in the learning process, learning activities are still focused on the teacher, students are less focused on learning and often complain of boredom in participating in learning. This study aims to improve the exposition writing skills of grade IV students of UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya. Through the Mystery Box learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of Mystery Box media on the exposition writing skills of grade IV students of UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya. This research is a quantitative study using an experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The data collection techniques used are observation, testing, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out using SPSS Statistics version 25. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of Mystery Box media on the writing skills of grade IV students of UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya. This was shown in the pretest with an average value of 60.2. While in the posttest it increased with an average value of 90.4. The results of the t-test analysis on the influence of Mystery Box media on student learning outcomes showed that the significance value obtained was good, namely the influence of Mystery Box media on the ability to write exposition texts (Sig = 0.000) was smaller than the specified alpha value of 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, which states that there is an influence of Mystery Box media on the ability to write exposition texts of grade IV students of UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya, Takalar Regency.Keywords: Writing Ability, Exposition, Mystery Box Media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the project-based learning method in improving the critical reading skills of fifth-grade students at SDN No. 166 Inpres Bontorita, Takalar Regency. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 24 fifth-grade students. The research instruments included a critical reading skills test, observation sheets, and a project assessment rubric. The results of the study showed that the percentage of students’ mastery in cycle I was 47.83%, which then significantly increased to 91% in cycle II. This improvement covered the ability to identify main ideas, distinguish between facts and opinions, draw conclusions from the text, and provide logical responses. The success was influenced by students’ active engagement in the learning process, the relevance of the material to everyday life, and the high motivation generated by the opportunity to publish their work. Therefore, the PjBL method is effective in enhancing the critical reading skills of fifth-grade students and can serve as an alternative learning strategy that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
