Abstract

An increase in the prevalence of anemia in young women will affect the quality of life and their offspring. Adolescent girls who experience anemia are at risk for anemia during pregnancy. Anemia in pregnant women will impact giving birth to stunted babies. Iron supplementation is a specific intervention effort to prevent anemia in female adolescents. This study aims to analyze the determinants of adherence to iron supplementation in young women and specific interventions to prevent stunting. This study uses a systematic review using PRISMA. Five electronic databases are used: Scopus, ScienceDirect, Wos, SAGE, and Google Scholar. The articles used in this research are 10 articles. The inclusion criteria for this study were articles published within five years, namely, 2018-2022, full text, open access, and in Indonesian and English. The determinants of adherence to iron supplementation are influenced by several factors, including sociodemographic factors such as the mother's occupation, education, and adolescent age. Intrapersonal factors such as young women's motivation and perceived benefits. Interpersonal factors such as support from parents, peers, and teachers. Institutional factors such as school support in the distribution of iron tablets. The compliance of young women in consuming iron tablets is influenced by sociodemographic, intrapersonal, intrapersonal, and institutional factors. There is a need for health education for young women and parents as well as strengthening commitment to schools so that they receive support in the implementation of iron supplementation as a specific intervention for stunting prevention Keywords: Compliance, Iron Tablets, Adolescents, Anemia, Stunting

Abstract

Literature, such as fronr India, Persia nnd China hed entered to Indonesian literature for long time, even, had become parts of Javannese literature like in Mahabarata, Ramayana, and Baratayudha (from lndia), Menak, Ambiya, Yusuf from Persia and Sam Pek Eng Tai and Sin Jin Kui from Cina. The existence of literature (texts) occurred by the move of inhabitants out from their origins by bringing parts of their culture. In their movement, the inhabitants usually stopped over in countries and had adaptation to local culture. Theiir culture, then, were adapted in the countries they visited. Those cultural phenomena also occurred in literary works in this modern era, like guritan by Noriah Muhammed and poems by Si Zainon lsmail (from Malaysia). Migration of Javanese (and Indonesian) literature out of country occurred through people migration, but there was diffirence on its fundamental background for contemporary condition and governnnce concept that is more systematic. lt does not allow easy migration or not allow teaching tlrc origin culture freely.

Abstract

Traditional media are increasingly marginalized by ‘the new media’ or ‘social media’, which are declared as advanced media. Behind this progress, many studies state that online media causes a lot of misinformation in the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, people continue to look for sources of information from trusted media, between both media to be used as a reliable reference. This article's objective is to promote public understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic by describing how traditional media played a crucial role in disseminating accurate information and combating rapidly spreading misinformation. The study was a literature study using PRISMA guidelines. Relevant articles included in the analysis were obtained from several scientific databases such as PubMed, SAGE, Science Direct, and PLOS One (published between 2020 and 2021), by using the relevant keywords “traditional media”, “misinformation”, “COVID-19”, then determined by criteria feasibility: (1) scientific journals, (2) research objectives, (3) open access, and (4) research results that are clear and in accordance with research objectives. We come to the conclusion that the majority of the public are understanding of and have a high level of trust in traditional media as a source of credible information during the COVID-19 pandemic and as a guide for preventing the spread of misinformation.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the relationship between behavioral factors and home environmental factors in tuberculosis cases in the city of Surabaya. The method used in this study was a cross-sectional study with 54 patients. The chi-square analysis was performed to see the relationship between behavioral factors and the home environment and tuberculosis cases. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between temperature (p value=0.000), humidity (p value=0.000), ventilation (p value=0.000), type of floor (p value=0.030), and density (p value=0.030) with TB case. Meanwhile, the lighting variable (p value=0.054) and behavior (p value=0.055) had no significant relationship with TB cases. TB cases can be prevented by minimizing risk factors in the home environment and healthy behavior. This study concludes that counseling regarding risk factors should be carried out, reminding and advising people with symptoms of TB or contact with TB patients to check themselves at a health center or health facility. Abstract

Introduction: Teenage girls are included in groups who are prone to anemia. Various attempts have been made to prevent anemia in teenage girls. Public service announcement of "Iron Supplementation" is one of the health promotion media related to the prevention of anemia. This research aims to determine the difference in the knowledge and attitudes of teenage girls before and after exposure to public service announcement media of "Iron Supplementation". Methods: This research is a quantitative study with pseudo-experimental methods. The knowledge and attitude variables are measured by the Paired T-test test and the Mann-Whitney test. The study subject amounted to 30 subjects for each group. Result: The results of the analysis show that there were differences in the students' knowledge (p = 0.00) before and after watching videos in both the "selfie" group and the "animation" group. There were differences in students' attitudes before and after watching the video on the "selfie" group         (p = 0.00). However, there was no difference in the student's attitudes toward the "animation" group (p= 0.469). Conclusion: There was no difference in students' knowledge between selfie groups and animation groups after watching videos. There was a difference in attitudes between the "selfie" group and the "animation" group after watching videos. Public service announcement is needed in delivering health messages for changes in knowledge and attitudes. However, there is still a need for mentoring and direct support from teachers

Abstract

Smoking is a behavior that is widely found in all levels of society, including at universities. In an effort to improve health status and create a Healthy Campus, Universitas Airlangga inaugurated a Smoking Free Area. This study aims to examine smoking behavior and analyze the implementation of No-Smoking Areas (KTR) at Airlangga University based on the Ottawa Charter health promotion strategy. This research is a case study using a descriptive qualitative approach with several data collections, namely interviews, observation and literature study. If reviewed based on the Ottawa Charter, the implementation of KTR at Universitas Airlangga has been going well. The KTR program at Airlangga University already has a health-oriented public policy, namely Peraturan Rektor Universitas Airlangga Nomor 13 Tahun 2023 Tentang Pedoman Kawasan Tanpa Rokok di Lingkungan Universitas Airlangga. KTR has succeeded in establishing a supportive environment, marked by the prohibition of smoking signs posted at the campus gate and every building. KTR also strengthens community action through the KTR task force from each faculty. To develop personal skills, KTR is also balanced with education and outreach to the task force and the entire academic community. The rearrangement of health services has also been carried out, in which health service facilities and related units have also improved and added smoking-related services to create a Kawasan Tanpa Rokok at Airlangga University. Kawasan Tanpa Rokok is a form of health promotion in an effort to create a Healthy Campus at Airlangga University. The rector's regulation has been promulgated to support its implementation. The results of observations reviewed based on the Ottawa Charter show that there is a link between the implementation of KTR and the available infrastructure, human resources, and policies set at Airlangga University.
