Abstract

AbstractCompetitiveness is a key factor in tourism sustainable development. At the global level, tourism competitiveness is measured by Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI). However, this indicator widely criticized for being complex and not represent local tourism resources. A number of countries have begun to replace TTDI with develop new indicators based on local resources. In Indonesia, the government has National Tourism Development Index (IPKN), but the indicators adopt a global approach without reflecting identity of local resources. This study aims to provide an alternative perspective tourism development based on local resources. The research method used is qualitative approach with a literature study technique. Data sources include book of Kearifan Lokal Indonesia dan Lingkungan as local tourism resources, TTDI documents as structure of global indicators, and the G2R (Global Gotong Royong) Tetrapreneur approach as a bottom-up framework. The results show that Indonesia has seven elements of local tourism resources. The novelty show that formulation of “LocalityVeness” (Local Competitiveness) model, which is a model for measuring Indonesia's tourism competitiveness based on local resources. This model is expected to be a conceptual alternative to strengthen the sustainability, adaptability, and reflect the identity of Indonesian tourism.

Abstract

The increasing environmental challenges, particularly plastic waste and resource depletion, call for innovative approaches in waste management and production processes, by examining the intersection of the circular economy, which emphasizes waste reduction, reuse, and recycling, with qualitypreneur, which is focused on continuous product innovation and quality improvement. This study highlights how these two frameworks can jointly contribute to the production of eco-friendly and halal-compliant bottled water. Through a structured literature review and theory synthesis, this research develops a conceptual model for small-scale halal bottled water producers. The model emphasizes sustainable production practices, recyclable packaging, and robust quality management systems, while also addressing the sector's barriers and challenges, including high production costs, regulatory complexities, and limited infrastructure. The study concludes that integrating these two concepts not only aligns with the growing demand for sustainable products but also enhances the competitive advantage of halal bottled water businesses. Abstract

Abstract. The entrepreneurial characteristics of opportunity-seeking, proactiveness, collaboration, and customer and market foresight are essential drivers of success for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Previous studies have widely examined entrepreneurial orientation (EO), network capability (NC), inter-firm partnerships (IFP), and business performance (BP), yet their interactions and implications within the demographic context of MSME entrepreneurs remain underexplored. The findings reveal variations in entrepreneurial orientation, networking skills, partnership engagement, and marketpreneur behavior across gender, education, and job position groups. The study contributes to the literature by presenting an integrated measurement of MSME entrepreneurial competencies while contextualizing demographic associated with. Abstract

Abstract

This study develops a conceptual understanding of Muslim women's entrepreneurship by emphasizing how Islamic values shape their motivations, decision-making processes, and social roles in business activities. Despite the continued growth of research on women's entrepreneurship, a theoretical gap remains regarding how Islamic religiosity, sharia norms, and religious social constructions simultaneously integrate to shape Muslim women's entrepreneurship models. Existing literature tends to highlight socio-cultural aspects or gender barriers separately, without providing an integrated conceptual framework that explains the interplay between Islamic values, religious identity, and the structural dynamics faced by Muslim women. This study offers a theoretical contribution by proposing a values-based perspective on Muslim women's entrepreneurship that integrates Islamic business ethics, principles of justice, and the demands of domestic and social roles. The findings demonstrate that Muslim women's entrepreneurship is not simply an economic response, but a practice negotiated religiously, culturally, and structurally. Thus, this article provides a conceptual foundation for understanding Muslim women's entrepreneurship as a phenomenon that cannot be explained solely through conventional entrepreneurship theories, but requires an approach rooted in Islamic values and epistemology.
