Abstract

Nitrate and phosphate nutrient and the other oceanographical parameter are part of an indicator to evaluate the quality of the water environment. Our research aims to determine the nitrate and phosphate levels in the water and sediment along the Pangkep coastal area. The research was conducted in February 2018 in coastal Pangkep using five sampling stations. Physico-chemical parameters of the water, such as temperature, pH, salinity, and dissolved oxygen were measured directly, whereas nitrate and phosphate parameters were analyzed using a spectrophotometer. In addition, nitrate and phosphate parameters from the sediment were measured using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The sediment nitrate values ranged from 0.026-0.442 mg/L, and the water nitrate values ranged from 0.018-0.063 mg/L. Moreover, the phosphate values from sediment ranged from 0.019-0.306 mg/L, and the phosphate values from the water ranged from 0.13-0.056 mg/L. The results show decreasing values of nitrate and phosphate concentration in the water and sediment starting from the estuary to the sea. The highest values were indicated in the estuary, which represents a eutrophic condition in the environment. Nutrient enrichment in coral reefs occurs and mixes with oceanographic conditions resulting in oxygen depletion and changes in benthic community structure.

Abstract

The determination of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) levels in sediment samples in Spermonde waters has been determined. Sampling was carried out in river and sea estuary waters. The method used in the analysis of Pb and Cd is the one specified by SNI 06-6992.3-2004 and SNI 06-6992.4-2004. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 51 of 2004, the general condition of Spermonde waters still supports the activities of marine organisms. The results showed that Spermonde waters received more Pb metal input than Cd metal. Pb metal content in river estuary and sea waters averaged 17.38 ppm. The highest Pb metal content is found in Lanjukang Island and Bone Tambung Island, each ranging from 20.88 ppm and 20.19 ppm. Meanwhile, the lowest Pb metal content on Barang Lompo island was 9.86 ppm. The detected metal content of Cd is only found in the Barrang Lompo and Kondong islands of Bali, each ranging from 1.04 ppm and 0.19 ppm, while the other locations Cd metal are undetectable. Based on the SQG value, the content of Pb and Cd in sediments in Spermonde waters is still in the standard range for sediment that has not been contaminated.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini ialah strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Desa Belanti Siam, Kalimantan Tengah. Mahasiswa dari IAIN Palangka Raya melakukan program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di desa ini. Desa Belanti Siam adalah daerah transmigrasi yang sedang berkembang, namun menghadapi banyak tantangan di bidang pendidikan. Antara lain, akses ke fasilitas pendidikan terbatas, jumlah guru kurang, dan sumber daya pendidikan masih minim. Dalam program KKN tersebut, mahasiswa menerapkan strategi-strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di desa ini. Mereka mengembangkan metode pembelajaran yang kreatif, seperti permainan edukatif dan kegiatan mewarnai. Mereka juga mengadakan sosialisasi tentang etika dan pergaulan yang sehat untuk siswa SMP dan SMA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program KKN ini memberikan dampak positif, terutama dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan kesadaran mereka akan pentingnya pendidikan. Namun, penelitian juga menemukan bahwa masih dibutuhkan perbaikan infrastruktur pendidikan, penambahan jumlah guru, serta integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran agar pengembangan pendidikan di desa ini bisa lebih optimal dalam jangka panjang. Kesimpulannya, meskipun program KKN sudah memberikan hasil yang baik, diperlukan dukungan berkelanjutan dari pemerintah daerah dan lembaga terkait lainnya. Pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan dalam ekosistem pendidikan juga penting untuk memajukan pendidikan di daerah terpencil seperti Desa Belanti Siam.

Abstract

Currently, cellular network products are widely used by humans in their activities. One of the factors that influence the use of cellular networks is the use of cellular phones and the number of cellular phones used. In addition, because the Telkomsel cellular network has the most users in Indonesia, this can provide an opportunity to increase customer awareness through successful branding. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to see how the variables of brand awareness, brand loyalty, and brand image affect consumer satisfaction. The sample collection technique of 100 respondents used the cluster sampling technique, with questionnaires filled out directly by Telkomsel provider users in Pekalongan City. The results show that brand awareness, brand loyalty, and brand image significantly positively affect consumer trust. However, the limitations of the study which only chose Telkomsel as the provider that was the object of the study need to be carried out in the future by comparing it to other providers to produce comparative data.

Abstract

Seagrass beds are a wealth of marine resources, one of the ecosystems found in coastal areas, capable of producing various secondary metabolites, and seagrasses are known to contain antibacterial active compounds. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial potential of seagrass extracts from Zone I (large and small Lae-lae Island) and Zone II (Gusung Bone Batang and Barrang Lompo) against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. The test method used is the agar diffusion method. The results showed that in Zone I, H. ovalis had an average inhibition of 7.9 mm and E. acoroides had an average inhibition of 8.15 mm, while in Zone II, E. acoroides was 2.5 mm, C Rotundata 1.18 mm, H. uninervis 1.53 mm, T. hemprichii 1.2 mm and H. ovalis 1.73 mm. The highest level of antibacterial activity was in the type of E. acoroides.

Abstract

Kabupaten Rokan Hilir hingga saat ini belum memiliki Mal Pelayanan Publik, sementara jumlah penduduk terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tahun 2024, jumlah penduduk Kabupaten Rokan Hilir tercatat sebanyak 670.692 jiwa. Peningkatan jumlah penduduk ini tentu berimplikasi pada meningkatnya kebutuhan pelayanan publik, khususnya di Kota Bagansiapiapi sebagai pusat pemerintahan. Untuk menjawab kebutuhan tersebut, diperlukan kehadiran Mal Pelayanan Publik sebagai pusat layanan terpadu (one-stop service) yang menyediakan berbagai fasilitas dan kemudahan bagi masyarakat dalam mengurus berbagai kepentingan administrasi.Dalam proses perancangannya, digunakan metode glass box (atau white-box testing) yang berfokus pada pengujian struktur internal dan logika sistem pelayanan agar berjalan efektif dan efisien. Pendekatan Arsitektur Modern diterapkan untuk mencerminkan perkembangan zaman yang semakin maju, mendorong peningkatan literasi digital, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pelayanan publik. Desain ini diharapkan menjadi simbol kemajuan dan inovasi pemerintahan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir dalam mewujudkan pelayanan yang transparan, adaptif, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat.

Abstract

The increasing popularity of social media has raised concerns about its potential impact on cognitive tasks, including Quran memorization (hifz). While previous studies have explored the effects of digital distractions on learning and memory retention, limited research has specifically examined the relationship between social media usage and Quran memorization. This study addresses this gap by investigating how daily social media consumption influences memorization progress and perceived effectiveness. A survey was conducted among Quran memorizers to assess their social media usage patterns and their correlation with memorization levels. A Kruskal-Wallis test was applied to determine whether significant differences exist in memorization levels across varying social media usage groups. The statistical results indicated no significant association between time spent on social media and memorization levels. However, qualitative responses suggested that excessive social media use negatively affects focus, discipline, and consistency in memorization. These findings highlight the complications of social media’s impact on Quran memorization. While quantitative results did not establish a direct relationship, qualitative insights emphasize the importance of a balanced social media usage for Quran memorization. Future research should build on these findings with larger samples and refined methodologies to bridge the gap between statistical trends and lived experiences.

Abstract

Proses produksi di industri tidak lepas dengan penggunaan mesin perkakas, salah satunya mesin bubut untuk proses pembubutan. Ketika pahat tidak diperhatikan tekait kemampuan untuk melakukan pembubutan dengan kedalaman pemotongan yang tepat dan dipakai terus-menerus lambat laun akan terjadi keausan pahat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kedalaman pemotongan terhadap keausan tepi, keausan kawah, dan massa aus pahat. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pahat bubut HSS Bohler Mo Rapid Extra 1200 Molibdenum M2 yang sudah diasah membentuk pahat rata kanan sesuai geomeri dan digunakan untuk proses pembubutan Baja Aisi 1040 sepanjang 100 mm. Proses pembubutan menggunakan variasi kedalaman pemotongan 0,5 mm untuk pahat A, 1 mm untuk pahat B, dan 1,5 mm untuk pahat C dengan Vc dan feeding tetap masing-masing sebesar 21 m/min dan 0,02 mm/putaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai keausan tepi tertinggi didapat dari pahat C sebesar 0,0302435 mm, kemudian pahat B sebesaar 0,0240594, dan pahat A sebesar 0,0175976 mm. Nilai keausan kawah tertinggi didapat dari pahat C sebesar 0,007836 mm, kemudian pahat B sebesaar 0,00668 mm, dan pahat A sebesar 0,004416 mm. Nilai massa aus tertinggi didapat dari pahat C sebesar 0,085 gram, kemudian pahat B sebesaar 0,057 gram, dan pahat A sebesar 0,039 gram.    Kata kunci: Keausan Pahat; Kedalaman Pemotongan; HSS; Pembubutan

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process parameters on tensile strength using the Taguchi method in the 3G welding position. The study investigates the effects of welding current, electrode type, and electrode soaking time on the quality of weld joints. The base material used was ASTM A36 steel, welded with E7016 and E7018 electrodes at current settings of 85 A and 95 A. The experimental design employed a Taguchi L4 (2³) orthogonal array, resulting in four parameter combinations. Performance analysis used the Larger is Better Signal-to-Noise (S/N) ratio approach. The optimum parameter combination was found at 85 A welding current, E7016 electrode, and 30 minutes of electrode soaking, achieving a maximum average tensile strength of 404.35 MPa. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) revealed that the most influential factor on tensile strength was electrode soaking time (57.65%), followed by electrode type (32.38%), and welding current (9.97%). The absence of residual error indicates a highly efficient and reliable experimental model. This study confirms that the Taguchi method is an effective approach to optimize SMAW parameters, enhance weld joint quality, and minimize trial-and-error efforts in the welding process.
