Abstract

Online gambling games are popular among teenagers nowadays. This is caused by very sophisticated technological advances, socio-economic pressures, and the role of social media as an advertising platform. This research aims to understand the reasons why the younger generation plays online gambling and solve the problems of this case. In collecting data, researchers obtained data through observation and interviews. The results of this research explain the factors of playing online gambling such as environmental, cognitive and perception factors. This case has an impact on finances (material values), vital values, spiritual values ​​(mental health and social relationships). Playing online gambling games is caused by technological accessibility, socio-economic pressures, lack of public awareness about the laws and risks of online gambling.

Abstract

Abstrak Pertanyaan yang menjadi pusat penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat dampak dari penggunaan Metode Curah Gagasan Brainstorming dalam materi Kompetensi Dasar Hubungan Internasional terhadap Hasil Belajar peserta didik Kelas XI di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak dari penerapan Metode Curah Gagasan Brainstorming terhadap Hasil Belajar kognitif para siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan metode kuasi eksperimental dan desain Pretest-Postest Control Group. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes dan dokumentasi. Populasi studi meliputi siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang yang berjumlah 352 siswa, dengan 60 siswa dari kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 3 sebagai sampel. Berdasarkan analisis statistik menggunakan Independent Sample t-Test, diperoleh nilai 0,000, yang signifikan karena lebih kecil dari 0,005. Oleh karena itu, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Metode Curah Gagasan Brainstorming dalam pengajaran Kompetensi Dasar Hubungan Internasional memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Kata Kunci: Brainstorming, Hasil Belajar Abstract This study examines the impact of implementing the Brainstorming Method on the Basic Competencies in International Relations concerning the Learning Outcomes of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang. The objective of this study is to determine the influence of the Brainstorming Method on the Cognitive Learning Outcomes among these students. Employing a quantitative research framework, this study adopts a quasi-experimental design specifically utilizing the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The methods for gathering data include both testing and documentation. The study's demographic comprises eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang, with a total population of 352 students. A subset of 60 students from classes XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 was sampled. The statistical analysis using the Independent Sample t Test revealed a significant value of 0.000, which is less than the threshold of 0.005. This result indicates a significant effect of the Brainstorming Method on the Basic Competencies of International Relations and the Cognitive Learning Outcomes.
