Abstract

One attempt to deal with the energy crisis is the search of alternative energy. Of organic materials as well as inorganic material potentially to serve as alternative energy. Among them, waste banana peels that can be used as a biobaterai. One way to make banana peels as the optimal biobaterai with he does study of electricity generated from biobaterai by making a banana peels  as a solution of elektrolitnya using a container of accu. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of different types of banana peels and fermentation time variation against electricity from cells using aqueous acid to the skin of a banana. This research was conducted on variation of skin types of bananas (ambon, raja, kepok and mas) and variations of the fermentation time (48, 96, 144 and 189 hours). In this study obtained data current and voltage measurement results of accu by using a solution of banana peels. Based on data obtained optimal banana peels  type to serve as biobaterai is ambon banana with the value of the voltage and the current volt 33.08 mA. The fermentation time for 192 hours  has obtained  value of current and voltage for aqueous banana peels ambon, kepok, King and mas in a row was 33.08 mA and 3.70 volt, 25 mA and 3.23 volt, 24.65 mA and 2.88 volt, and 24.26 mA and 3.02 volt. The length of time the fermentation lowers the pH value of the material. Abstract

Synthesis ofoNiFe2O4/PVDF nanocomposite with sintering temperature variations of 2500C, 280, 3000C, 3500C, 4500C has been done with the solgel method for microwave absorbing material (RAM).This material is to reduce reflections or absorb microwaves, so objects coated with RAM are not detected by Radio Detection and Ranging (RADAR). In making nanocomposite NiFe2O4 / PVDF, it includes the making of Fe3O4 precursor solution using iron sand, making NiFe2O4 solution, making NiFe2O4 / PVDF nanocomposite, printing, and  sintering. The samples were characterized by XRD. FTIR and VNA. For the analysis of microwave absorption ability as measured by the Vector Network Analyzerr(VNA), and then maximum Reflection Loss (RL) number was obtained at theesintering temperature of 2800C at -27.5767 dB at aafrequency off11.20 GHz which the X-Band region with microwaveeabsorption in coefficient amounting to 0.0417989142. Nanocomposite NiFe2O4 / PVDF can absorb microwaves ~ 96% at a frequency of 11.20 GHz. So, NiFe2O4/PVDF nanocomposite is suitable for Absorbing Radar Material

Abstract

The Research to analyze the structure of manganese ore sinter processes occurring in the area Kiawai Sub Distric of Gunung Tuleh Regency of west Pasaman. In this research use XRF and XRD characterization tool. The results showed a transformation in the structure. Changes in the structure of the manganese ore minerals may occur as a result of warming temperatures. Structural changes that occur are tetragonal pyrolusite structure with a unit cell a = b 4.4000 Å and c = 2.8700 Å to the cubic bixbyite structure with a unit cell a = b = c = 9.4091 Å and then to the tetragonal hausmannite structure a = b = 5.7630 Å and c = 9.4560 Å. On the other hand also occur that the incorporation of bixbyite with a Rhodonite. Changes in the unit cell obtained by unit cell a = 7.6140 b = 11.8480 and c = 6.6990 the new braunite structure becomes tetragonal unit cell with  a = b = 9.4200 and c = 18 670

Abstract

ABSTRACTMembrane is a layer that separates the two phases and organize mass transfer of the two phases were separated. Chitosan can be used as materials for membrane by dissolving chitosan powder in acetic acid 1 %. To obtain membranes that have good physical qualities, it is necessary to research on the physical properties of membranes. This type of research is experimental research with samples of chitosan membranes made of chitosan powder with chitosan mass variation is used as the membrane are 2 grams, 3 grams, 4 grams, 5 grams and 6 grams. Membrane capacitance values can be measured directly using the LCR meter 827. The highest value membrane capacitance is 6.10 ± 0.01 pF with a mass of chitosan used as membrane is 6 grams at  frequency 1 kHz. Membrane capacitance values have a tendency decreases with higher frequency. The highest value capacitance chitosan membrane after immersion in a solution of 20 mM KCl is 7.90 ± 0.01 with a mass of chitosan used as membrane is 4 grams at  frequency 1 kHz. Based on the research can be obtained an effect of mass of chitosan used as membrane due to capacitance chitosan membrane.Keywords : Membrane, Capacitance, Chitosan

Abstract

Zeolite is an adsorbent is used to improve the purity of bioethanol from sugar cane. Bioethanol produced  by the sugar cane using of the fermentation procces and distillation procces obtained the highest levels of only 90%, and with repeated distillation the content of bioethanol does not increase. It necessary for an alternative method immersion of zeolite into bioethanol for 24 hours. Zeolite with varying size  of 50 mesh, 80 mesh, 100 mesh, 200 mesh was into the bioethanol content of 90% and produced bioethanol content of  91,3%, 92%, 93,3% and 94%. Bioethanol content 94% is also done the same thing and produced of 95%, 95%, 95,5%, 95,5%. In general, an increase in the levels of bioethanol in the size grains of zeolit used.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in solving physics problems in the form of graphs and profiles of students' difficulties in the material of straight motion. This research method is qualitative research. The population in this study were students of class X Science at the state senior high school 3 Sungai Penuh who had studied the material of straight motion. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling, from this technique one trial class was selected, namely X Science 2 and one class as a sample, namely class X Science 1. The data collection method was diagnostic tests and was supported by interview results. The analysis was carried out using descriptive percentages.The results show that students' ability to solve physical problems with graphs has a low percentage of interpretation ability of 40.61%; interpolation ability of 30.6%; extrapolation ability of 30.46%; and the ability to transform by 39.65%. The student difficulty profile in this study based on the minimum criteria of mastery learning was still having difficulty for all indicators with an average of weak categories. The student's difficulty profile on the material profile is still having difficulties for all sub-materials with an average of weak categories. In the difficulty profile based on prerequisite knowledge, the proportion of students who have difficulty in determining the area of flat shapes is 51.72% including the medium category, the percentage of students' difficulty in arithmetic operations is 66.05% including the high category, the proportion of students' difficulties in linear equations is 72.41% included in the high category.

Abstract

Industrial revolution 4.0 has made a big contribution to life. The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires human resources that can compete in the global economy. STEM education plays an important role in increasing student creativity so that they can compete in the future. However, in reality, activities that support student creativity in learning have not been carried out properly. The learning materials used were still limited and have not integrated STEM optimally, and student learning outcomes were still in the sufficient category. The solution to overcome these problems is to develop electronic learning materials that integrated STEM to improve student learning outcomes. The research method in this research was Research and Development (R & D). This study aimed to determine the practicality of STEM integrated electronic learning materials. The practicality of STEM integrated electronic learning materials obtained in this study was based on four practical components, namely ease of use, the attractiveness of presentation, clarity of the material, and benefits of learning materials. The average value of practicality of STEM integrated energy and momentum electronic learning materials using professional flip pdf was 85.79 which was categorized as the “very good” category. So it can be concluded that STEM integrated electronic materials can be used in physics learning to improve the learning outcomes of grade X students.

Abstract

The development of technology has an impact on the world of education. The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the world of Education can help learners in describing something abstract such as using images, videos, animations, charts and others. The Regulation of the Minister of Education that required teachers to be able to use learning media and learning resources relevant to the characteristics of learners and subjects that are mastered to achieve the learning goals as a whole. The solution to this problem is the creation of android-based mobile learning modules using a guided inquiry model for high  school physics materials. The purpose of this research is to produce android-based mobile learning modules using guided inquiry models for valid high  school physics materials. The type of research done is Research and Development (R&D). The model used in this study is a four D model (4D model) developed by Thiagrajan. In this study will be limited to the stage of developing, so that only through 3 stages, namely define, design and develop. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive statistics and qualitative data analysis. The data obtained from this study comes from validity tests through wide validation. Based on validation results by experts obtained an average value of the total percentage in all aspects of 79,25% and declared very feasible. From this research it can be concluded that android-based mobile learning modules using guided inquiry models have been in accordance with the curriculum used and worth using in schools.

Abstract

The 21st century is a century with education system that refers to 2013 curriculum which requires teachers to apply learning that is directed at finding out information so that it can help students to have deeper mastery of concepts. The low value of the National Exam (NE) proves that many students have difficulty in working on questions. Therefore, research was carried out to identify problematic physics concepts on NE questions at Senior High School (SMAN) in Pesisir Selatan District. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Population of data in this study was all SMAN that held the NE in Pesisir Selatan District which consisted of 21 schools. Sampling was carried out using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The sample of this study was 6 schools that held the NE in SMAN in Pesisir Selatan District. The data in this study were taken from 2018 and 2019 Physics NE data at SMAN in Pesisir Selatan District in education center data (2018) with data collection techniques through documentation studies. Based on this data, it can be obtained the results of identification of problematic physics concepts on NE questions in 2018 with percentage of errors in 6 main materials including Measurement and Kinematics 58.68%; Dynamics 69.33%; Work, Energy and Collision 64.79%; Heat 57.74%; Wave and Light 65.95%; and Magnetism and Core Physics 45.45%. Then, in 2019 it consisted of 4 main materials including Mechanics 58.16%; Wave and Optics 65.87%; Thermodynamics 68.23%; and Magnetism and Modern Physics 57.90%.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia continue to be carried out by the Government. One of the ongoing agenda is curriculum development. The 2013 curriculum requires students to have thinking skills, one of which is Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). To achieve this, teachers must practice using strategies to train students to think higher order. It is time to implement HOTS questions in learning. HOTS-based questions can make students skilled in the ability to solve problems, skilled in decision making. The results of the observations show that the questions used in Senior High School throughout Agam Regency are still in the low category and do not meet the good proportion of questions. Therefore, research on the analysis of the HOTS indicator was carried out on physics questions at Senior High School Agam in Agam. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of this research is about Senior High School’s Physics Exam in Agam Regency for the 2019/2020 academic year. The research data was taken using an analytical instrument of question presentation and data collection techniques through documentation. Based on the research that has been done, it is found that the percentage of HOTS indicators for each question is 39.15% for class X semester 1, 38.5% for class X semester 2, 36.3% for class XI semester 1, 18.25% for class XI semester 2 and 24.5% for class XII semester 1 and for HOTS indicators that are often found in Physics Exam questions are the Problem Solving and Critical Thinking indicators, followed by decision making indicators while the least encountered is the Creative Thinking indicator.
