Abstract

This research was intended to produce students' worksheets according to contextual learning approach to build critical thinking skills of 10th-grade high school students on linear and projectile motion. The method used in this research is Sugiyono's level 4 research and development method which has been modified and restricted up to the validation stage. The data in this research was obtained based on the results of product validity which were assessed by three experts using validation sheet with six components, namely content feasibility, presentation, linguistics, contextual assessment aspects, critical thinking assessments aspect, and graphics. The obtained data were processed using Aiken's V validation analysis, the results are described through graphs. The results of the V coefficient of the product is 0,86 included in the very high category. So, the students' worksheets according to contextual learning approach to build the critical thinking skills of 10th-grade high school students on linear and projectile motion can be said to be very valid.

Abstract

The 2013 Revised Curriculum requires teachers to develop learning through the integration of four elements, one of which is the 21st Century Skills (4Cs). To understand these requirements, learning with teacher-centered models and methods is no longer possible, and students must be empowered with student-centered active learning. Efforts to overcome poor student learning outcomes can be done by using a student-centered learning model and involving students actively in learning. One of them is the REACT learning model. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of using the REACT model on physics learning outcomes for students of class X semester 2 of SMAN 1 RAO, Pasaman Regency. This type of research is experimental research using a posttest-only control design. The research subjects were all students of Class X MIPA SMAN 1 RAO for the academic year 2021/2022. The samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique. Research data is data on the achievement of student competence in knowledge competence. The final test (post-test) with multiple choice questions was used as a research instrument. The survey data were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test, and the similarity test of two averages. The results showed that the experimental class had an average final test score of 81 and the control class had an average final test score of 76.52. The results for the similarity of the two averages were obtained > for a significance level of 0.05, which means that there is an effect of applying the REACT model on the physics learning outcomes of students in Class X MIPA Semester 2 at SMAN 1 RAO, Pasaman Regency. Keywords :2013 curriculum revision, REACT model

Abstract

Physics learning outcomes are underdeveloped because the learning model is still teacher-centered and needs to involve by teaching materials that enhance the learning process.  The discovery learning model, is one of learning model that can enhance physics learning outcomes, which involves engaged and student-centered. Media and teaching materials must support the applied discovery learning model by using the worksheets with scaffolding are effective and practical for the discovery learning model. This study aims to see whether there is an effect of the application of scaffolding-based worksheet in the discovery learning model on the physics learning outcomes of students. The type of research conducted was a quasi-experiment using the Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population of this study were all students of class XI.F of Senior High School in Padang. Sampling was done with Purposive Sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. According to data analysis with hypothesis testing obtained th<tt where 2.129<1.667 H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it can be concluded in the study that application of scaffolding-based worksheet in the discovery learning model has a significant effect on the physics learning outcomes on the knowledge aspect. The results of this study are used as input for teachers and prospective teachers. Improve themselves in connection with the teaching that has been done and the student learning outcomes that have been achieved by varying the learning model with the appropriate learning media to improve student physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The 21st century has been characterized by great advances in science and technology. These developments have efficiently addressed many issues in the field of education, in the study of physics. Effective physics learning focuses on students' concept understanding. However, the reality is that students' concept understanding is low, especially in the material of traveling waves and stationary waves. The proposed solution is to develop interactive multimedia based on iSpring suite integrated with prompting questions. The purpose of this interactive multimedia is to determine its characteristics and validity. The type of research used is development research using the Plomp development model. Initial data was collected using a four tier diagnostic test and analysis of 2 interactive multimedia journals. The validity test was conducted by 5 lecturers of Physics FMPA UNP. The validity analysis results reached 0.85 valid category.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made to realize ideal physics learning, one of which is by applying the right learning model. This study's objective was to ascertain the impact of cooperative model type think pair share on students' physics learning outcomes based on instructional materials and media. This study collected 17 articles from national and international journals to be discussed using the meta-analysis method. Articles used in this study have been analyzed and meet the categories for effect size calculation and are grouped based on two indicators, namely based on subject matter and learning media. The results showed that the think pair share learning approach had an overall positive effect of 1.98 on students' learning outcomes in physics, with a high influence category. According to the learning materials, the material with a magnitude and measurement of 5.03 and a high influence category is where the think pair share model has the most impact. Based on learning media, the most effective influence on animation media is 1.61 with a high influence category. The TPS learning model is most effective in improving the physics learning outcomes of students on the material of quantities and measurements. The most effective learning tool for enhancing students' physics learning outcomes when using the TPS model is animated learning material

Abstract

Difficulties experienced by students in learning Physics include both students and teachers not being able to recognize their learning styles and students' lack of creativity in learning which will have an impact on learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to analyze whether there is a relationship between learning style and creativity with high school physics learning outcomes. This type of research is descriptive research with a correlational quantitative approach. The research population is State High Schools in Payakumbuh. Sample selection applies Purposive Cluster Sampling by selecting 1 from each school ranking, high, medium and low. The instruments used are the learning style questionnaire consisting of 26 items and the creativity questionnaire consisting of 27 items. The data analysis technique uses prerequisite analysis tests, namely the normality test; homogeneity test and hypothesis test using linearity test, multiple linear regression test and correlation test. The results obtained are as follows: (1) there is a positive relationship between learning style and learning outcomes. (2) there is a positive relationship between creativity and learning outcomes at a significance level of 5% or 0.05.

Abstract

The implementation of an independent curriculum requires adaptation in its application, especially in the readiness of project-based teaching materials. However, the LKPD in SMA N 1 Banuhampu is still not in accordance with the standards of teaching materials needed and expected in learning using an independent curriculum. The research method used in this research is R&D with a 4D research model consisting of four research steps, namely define, design, development, and desseminate. The data collection technique from this study uses a validation instrument that will be assessed by three validators. Based on the results, it was concluded that the results of making project-based learning LKPD on global warming material have obtained valid with a validity index of presentation aspects of 0.872, graphic aspects 1, feasibility aspects of content 0.914 and linguistic aspects of 0.889. Thus, project-based learning LKPD products phase E students can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, the needs of society continue to increase along with technological advances. The more sophisticated the technology, the higher the demand for electricity and energy storage. The energy storage medium that is widely used today is lithium batteries. But because the price of lithium batteries is quite high, the solution to overcome the high price of lithium batteries is to replace lithium battery electrodes with carbon-based materials such as Graphene Oxide. Graphene Oxide can be made from biomass waste, one of which is corn cob waste
