Abstract

The coastal area in North Sulawesi which has a length of about 1.985 km, is a potential area with biodiversity supported by the associated biota in it. Order Decapoda, infraorder Brachyura is one of the many biotas found in coastal areas. It is estimated that about 5,400 species of Brachyura live in coastal areas. The purpose of the study was to identify the crabs caught at Minanga Beach, Manado Bay Waters, Malalayang Satu Village Malalayang District Manado City based on the morphological characteristics of crabs. The sample was collected in February 2022. The method used in this research is the cruising survey method, which has been done by tracing the marked location and then taking all the crabs species found. Identification is done by observing the morphology of the crab, such as carapace shape, claws, walking legs, presence of spines on the carapace, carapace size, abdomen shape, sexual dimorphism that occurs in crabs, presence of hair/setae, and color/pattern of crabs. Based on the research conducted, as many as five species of crabs were found in Minanga Beach, namely: Thalamita prymna, Thalamita sp., Thalamita admete, Ozius rugulosus, Ozius tuberculosus.Keywords: Brachyura; Identification; Thalamita; Ozius; Manado Bay.AbstrakWilayah pesisir di Sulawesi Utara yang memiliki panjang sekitar 1.985 km, merupakan wilayah yang potensial dengan keanekaragaman hayati yang didukung oleh biota yang berasosiasi di dalamnya. Ordo Decapoda, infraordo Brachyura merupakan satu dari banyak biota yang ditemukan di wilayah pesisir. Diperkirakan sekitar 5.400 spesies brachyura hidup di wilayah pesisir pantai. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kepiting yang ditangkap di Pantai Minanga, Perairan Teluk Manado, Kelurahan Malalayang Satu, Kecamatan Malalayang, Kota Manado berdasarkan ciri morfologi kepiting. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode survei jelajah, yaitu dengan menyusuri lokasi yang telah ditandai lalu mengambil semua spesies kepiting yang ditemukan. Identifikasi dilakukan dengan memperhatikan morfologi kepiting, seperti: bentuk karapas, capit, kaki jalan, keberadaan duri pada karapas, ukuran karapas, bentuk abdomen, seksual dimorfisme yang terjadi pada kepiting, keberadaan rambut/setae, dan warna/corak kepiting. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, sebanyak lima spesies kepiting ditemukan di Pantai Minanga, yaitu: Thalamita prymna, Thalamita sp., Thalamita admete, Ozius rugulosus, Ozius tuberculosus.Kata Kunci: Brachyura; Identifikasi; Thalamita; Ozius; Teluk Manado.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the biometric comparison of otoliths of Banggai cardinal fish based on gender and to determine the comparison of otolith biometrics at two locations in the Waters Front of TPI Dudepo Kab. South Bolaang Mongondow and in the Lembeh Strait, Bitung City. Data collection in the field using the roaming survey method. Fishing is done by snorkelling, catching a minimum of 50 individuals representing each size class using Chang net/Sibu fishing gear. The differences in otoliths in male and female sexes have seven different otolith characters in otolith length (OL), otolith width (OW), otolith area (OA) and otolith perimeter (OP), roundness (Rnd), ellipticity (Ell) and aspect ratio (Ar), and three characters that do not show significant differences, namely form factor (Ff), circularity (Cir), rectangularity (Rec). The differences in otoliths based on location in front of the Dudepo TPI and in the Lembeh Strait have seven different otolith characters in otolith length (OL), otolith width (OW), otolith area (OA) and otolith perimeter (OP), roundness (Rnd), ellipticity (Ell). and aspect ratio (Ar), and three characters that do not show significant differences, namely form factor (Ff), circularity (Cir), rectangularity (Rec). Keywords: Biometrics, cardinal proud fish, comparison Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingkan biometrik otolit ikan kardinal banggai berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan mengetahui perbandingan biometrik otolit pada dua lokasi di Perairan Depan TPI Dudepo Kab. Bolaang Mongondow Selatan dan di Selat Lembeh Kota Bitung. Pengambilan data di lapangan menggunakan metode survei jelajah. Penangkapan ikan dilakukan dengan penyelaman snorkling, penangkapan minimal 50 individu yang mewakili setiap kelas ukuran dengan alat tangkap Chang net/Sibu. Perbedaan otolit pada jenis kelamin jantan dan jenis kelamin betina memiliki tujuh perbedaan karakter otolit pada panjang otolit (OL), lebar otolit (OW), area otolit (OA) dan perimeter otolit (OP), roundness (Rnd), ellipticity (Ell) dan aspect ratio (Ar), dan tiga karakter yang tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, yaitu form factor (Ff), circularity (Cir), rectangularity (Rec). Perbedaan otolit berdasarkan lokasi di depan TPI Dudepo dan di Selat Lembeh memiliki tujuh perbedaan karakter otolit pada panjang otolit (OL), lebar otolit (OW), area otolit (OA) dan perimeter otolit (OP), roundness (Rnd), ellipticity (Ell) dan aspect ratio (Ar), dan tiga karakter yang tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, yaitu form factor (Ff), circularity (Cir), rectangularity (Rec). Abstract

This research about morphometric and meristic character of yellow stripscad. Fish samples were selected from various sizes in order to represent the various sizes of yellow stripscad that existin nature. Samples of yellow stripscad were taken from fish landed at TPI Tumumpa as many as 60 tail and PPI Kema as many as 60 tail. The purpose of this study was to determine how the morphometric and meristic character of yellow stripscad landed in TPI Tumumpa and PPI Kema. Data analysis with K-mean cluster method using SPSS 25 and Ms. Excel 2019. Yellow stripscad landed in TPI Tumumpa and PPI Kema have different morphometric character with percentage difference of 95%. For meristic character have a fairly small lavel of difference with a difference of 29%. Keywords : yellow stripscad, morphometric, meristic, TPI Tumumpa, PPI Kema. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengenai karakter morfometrik dan meristik ikan selar kuning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel ikan akan dipilih dari berbagai macam ukuran agar dapat mewakili berbagai macam ukuran ikan selar kuning yang ada di alam. Sampel ikan selar kuning diambil dari ikan yang didaratkan di TPI Tumumpa sebanyak 60 ekor dan di PPI Kema sebanyak 60 ekor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakter morfometrik dan meristik ikan selar kuning yang didaratkan di TPI Tumumpa dan PPI Kema. Analisis data dengan metode K-mean cluster menggunakan program SPSS 25 dan Ms. Excel 2019. Ikan selar kuning yang didaratkan di TPI Tumumpa dan PPI Kema memiliki karakter morfometrik yang berbeda dengan persentase perbedaan sebesar 95%. Untuk  karakter meristiknya memiliki tingkat perbedaan yang cukup kecil dengan tingkat perbedaan sebesar 29%.  Kata- kata kunci : ikan selar kuning, morfometrik, meristik, TPI  Tumumpa, PPI Kema.

Abstract

Sapa Village, Tenga District, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province has a seagrass meadow ecosystem, but there is still a lack of information about the seagrass community in the waters of Sapa Village, which is the reason for researching the presence of seagrass in these waters. With the aim of knowing the types of seagrass, environmental conditions, species density, relative density, domination index, and species diversity index. Based on the results of observations at the location, it showed a temperature of 30OC, salinity of 30‰, pH 8, and sandy substrate and coral rubble. The results of the identification there are 4 types of seagrass namely Thalassia hemprichii, Syringodium isoetifolium, Cymodocea rotundata, and Halodule uninervis. The type with the highest number of individuals vizThalassia hemprichii with a total of 694 individuals, Halodule uninervis 557 individuals, Cymodocea rotundata358 individuals andSyringodium isoetifolium 324 individuals. Density index type (10,80 – 23,13 individuals/m2), relative density (16.76 - 35.90%) dominance index D = 0.32, and diversity H = 1.33. Keywords: seagrass, sapa village, community structure Abstrak Desa Sapa Kecamatan Tenga Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan Provinsi  Sulawesi Utara memiliki ekosistem padang lamun namun masih kurangnya informasi mengenai komunitas lamun di perairan Desa Sapa ini menjadi alasan untuk meneliti tentang keberadaan lamun di perairan tersebut. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis lamun, kondisi lingkungan, Kepadatan spesies, Kepadatan Relatif, Indeks Dominasi, dan  Indeks Keanekaragaman Spesies. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di lokasi menunjukan suhu 30oC, salinitas 30‰, pH 8 dan substrat berpasir serta pecahan karang. Hasil identifikasi terdapat 4 jenis lamun yaitu Thalassia hemprichii, Syringodium isoetifolium, Cymodocea rotundata, dan Halodule uninervis. Jenis dengan jumlah individu terbanyak yaitu Thalassia hemprichii dengan jumlah  694 individu, Halodule uninervis 557 individu, Cymodocea rotundata 358 individu dan Syringodium isoetifolium 324 individu. Indeks kepadatan jenis (10,80 – 23,13 individu/m2), kepadatan relatif (16,76 - 35,90%) indeks dominasi D=0,32 dan keanekaragaman H= 1,33. Kata kunci: lamun, desa sapa, struktur komunitas

Abstract

This study aims to determine the sex ratio, gonad maturity level, gonad maturity index, and fecundity of dolphinfish Coryphaena hippurus.  Samples were obtained from the catches of fishermen who landed in Kalinaun Village. Fish and gonadal weight were measured with a digital scale with an accuracy of 0,1 gram and fork length was measured to an accuracy of 0.1 cm. Samples obtained were 60 individuals, 16 males with a size range of 40.5-57.4 cm and 44 females with a size range of 42.9-72.6 cm.  The sex ratio of males and females was 1:2.75.  The level of gonadal maturity of all samples was level II (developing) III (maturation) and IV (mature) for both males and females, level I (undeveloped) and V (saline) were not found. The gonadal maturity level was dominated by maturity level III (maturation) every month, except June when level IV for males was dominated.  The gonadal maturity index value of developing (level II) was 0.79 ± 0.37, level III was 3.62 ± 1.33 and level IV was 4.66 ± 0.65 for females. Level  II 0.28 ±0.18, level III 0.47 ±0.16 and level IV 0.63 ±0.06 for male. Fecundity ranged from 28,313-554,023 with an average of 229,839 ±139,967. Abstrak             Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nisbah kelamin, tingkat tematangan gonad, indeks kematangan gonad dan fekunditas ikan lemadang Coryphaena hippurus. Sampel diambil dari tangkapan nelayan yang didaratkan di Desa Kalinaun.  Berat ikan diukur dengan timbangan digital berketelitian 0,1 gram dan Panjang cagak diukur sampai ketelitian  0,1 cm. Sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 60 individu, jantan 16 individu dengan kisaran ukuran 40,5-57,4 cm dan betina 44 individu dengan kisaran ukuran 42,9-72,6 cm.  Perbandingan kelamin jantan dan betina adalah 1:2,75.  Tingkat kematangan gonad dari seluruh sampel adalah tingkat kematangan II (berkembang) III (pematangan) dan IV (matang) baik jantan maupun betina, tingkat kematangan I (belum berkembang) dan V(salin)  tidak ditemukan. Tingkat kematangan gonad didominasi tingkat kematangan III (pematangan) setiap bulan, kecuali bulan Juni didiminasi TKG IV untuk jantan.  Nilai IKG  betina TKG II 0,79 ±0,37, TKG III 3,62 ±1,33 dan TKG IV 4,66 ±0,65. Ikan jantan TKG II 0,28 ±0,18, TKG III 0,47 ±0,16 dan TKG IV 0,63 ±0,06. Fekunditas berkisar 28.313-554.023 dengan rata-rata  229.839 ±139.967.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the richness of fish species in the Tondano River estuary. Sampling was done for two months, in July and August 2022, new moon phase, during the low tide at 13.00-16.00 pm. Sampling used a 20-m beach seine with a cod-end part of 0.2-cm mesh and wings of 2-m height and 1.5-cm mesh. The beach seine was operated 10 times starting from the lowest tide at 13.00 pm to the tide condition at 16.00 pm. As a whole, 736 individuals were caught, consisting of 24 species and 17 families, 14 migrant species, and 10 resident species The number of fish varied from 1 to 445 individuals, in which Terapon jarbua (445 ind) was the most abundant, followed by Neovespicula depressifrons (70 ind). The dominant index (C) was 0.38 and the diversity index (H) was 1.65. The resident species were 120 individuals varying from 2 to 70 ind., and the most abundant was Neovespicula depressifrons (70 ind.). The dominant index (C) was 0.37 and the diversity index was 1.47.

Abstract

Fish are vertebrates that live all or part of their lives in water, breathe with gills, are equipped with fins for movement and balance, and are cold-blooded (poikilotherm). Lemuru fish are grouped into fish (poikilotherm). Lemuru fish are grouped in the order Cluipeiformes which is part of small pelagic fish. The research was carried out in January-August 2023 to determine the diversity of total length and weight as well as the relationship between the length and weight of male and female lemuru fish, which was carried out using quantitative descriptive methods. Of the 135 lemuru fish individuals observed, there were 40 male individuals with a total length of between 13,184-15,589 cm and 95 female individuals which were longer between 12,083-16,420 cm, and the weight of male individuals between 17,450 - 43,040 grams and female individuals were 19,630 - 52,470 grams. The length-weight regression equation for females is W = 0.018204 L 2.76026 and for males W = 0.01179 L 2.89363.. Keywords: panjang , small pelagic, growth status. Abstrak Ikan adalah vertebrata yang seluruh atau sebagian hidupnya di air, bernafas dengan insang, dilengkapi sirip untuk pergerakan dan keseimbangannya serta berdarah dingin (poikilotherm). Ikan lemuru dikelompokkan pada  adalah ikan (poikilotherm). Ikan lemuru dikelompokkan pada ordo Cluipeiformes yang menjadi bagian ikan pelagis kecil. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari-Agustus 2023 bertujuan menentukan keragaman panjang total dan berat serta hubungan panjang berat ikan lemuru jantan dan betina yang pelaksanaannya menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Dari 135 individu ikan lemuru yang diamati ada 40 individu jantan dengan panjang total selang 13,184-15,589 cm dan 95 individu betina yang lebih panjang selang 12,083-16,420 cm, dan berat individu jantan selang 17,450 - 43,040 gram dan selang individu betina 19,630 – 52,470 gram. Persamaan regresi panjang-berat betina adalah W = 0.018204 L 2,76026 dan jantan W = 0.01179 L 2,89363. Kata kunci: panjang, berat, regresi, korelasi, Bitung.
