Abstract

Tourist satisfaction serves as a crucial indicator of successful tourism development. It is imperative for managers to periodically assess the tourism facilities to gauge the destinations' quality through the visitors' perspective. Therefore, this study endeavors to assess the level of tourist satisfaction regarding the tourism facilities at Slili Beach. A total of 100 respondents participated in the questionnaire, which was subsequently analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The findings revealed that tourists exhibited dissatisfaction with public toilet facilities and trash bins, with percentages of 42.25% and 38.75%, respectively. Conversely, tourists expressed contentment with rest area facilities, parking, and places of worship, with percentages of 51.34%, 47.71%, and 45.5%, respectively. However, the availability of disabled facilities left 61.5% of tourists significantly dissatisfied. These findings underscore the need for managers to address the discrepancies between tourists' expectations and the actual offerings at Slili Beach. Consequently, there is a pressing need for managers to enhance the quality of tourism facilities to ensure and bolster tourist satisfaction. Furthermore, future research endeavors could explore the correlation between tourist satisfaction and the inclination to revisit, providing managers with compelling reasons to continually improve the quality of facilities at marine tourism destinations.

Abstract

The processed agricultural products of the Ngentak Farmer Women Group (KWT) have yet to become souvenirs and culinary products in the Japanese Cave tourist area, Seloharjo, Bantul. This is due to insufficient production capacity, limited innovation, and conventional product marketing. This community service aims to describe the implementation of the Kosabangsa 2024 Program, namely training and the application of Appropriate Technology. The implementation method of Kosabangsa 2024 generally consists of five stages: socialization, training, application of Appropriate Technology, monitoring and evaluation, and sustainability. Regarding training, the methods used are lectures and group discussions in the classroom. Based on the implementation of the training, participants understand that processed agricultural products need innovation so that new market segments—namely tourists—can accept them. In addition, marketing strategies through social media are necessary nowadays so that products can be widely recognized. The application of slicing machines, drying machines, and packaging machines can increase the efficiency and production capacity of KWT Ngentak's processed products. Digital marketing through Instagram and TikTok can increase the engagement rate and coverage of the marketed products, and reduce the promotional costs incurred by KWT Ngentak.

Abstract

The development of marine tourism destinations with numerous beaches along a single coastline, such as those in Gunungkidul, must consider tourists' spatial movement patterns. Now, tourists are shifting from crowded destinations, such as Baron Beach, to hidden gems that offer privacy and new visual experiences. This creates a significant shift in spatial movement patterns in the southern coastal region. Uncertainty in travel patterns hinders efforts to manage visitor flows and design efficient connections between destinations. This study aims to identify tourists' travel patterns to Kesirat Beach in Gunungkidul, which is becoming increasingly popular despite not offering white-sand beaches like those in other parts of Gunungkidul. A total of 97 people who encountered the researchers were given a questionnaire with closed-ended questions. The data were processed in SPSS and analyzed using a descriptive, quantitative approach. The results showed that tourist movement patterns were dominated by stopovers (78%), with short visit durations (57% for one whole day and 43% for less than one day). These results suggest that Kesirat Beach serves as a stopover point or as part of a longer travel route rather than as a final destination. Highlighting the high use of private vehicles (90%) and the preference for traveling in groups of friends (56%) underscores the importance of improving accessibility. This can help the audience feel responsible for creating inclusive and convenient access, encouraging better management of tourist flows.
