Abstract

This article is a literature review focusing on plant disease identification using image processing techniques. This review aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of dataset sources, preprocessing methodologies, segmentation techniques, feature extraction processes, and various classification methods, along with their associated accuracies. It also discusses challenges encountered and potential future research directions. Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol, a literature search was conducted in the Scopus database to obtain primary studies. The search covered Scopus-indexed journals and proceedings published by IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, MDPI, and ACM between 2019 and 2025. The initial identification phase yielded 9,286 studies screened. Further screening was performed based on specific eligibility criteria, including relevance to the topic, year of publication, subject area, document type, and articles written in English, resulting in the selection of 82 studies for the review. The findings indicate that the most commonly used dataset is PlantVillage, followed by field data. The dominant preprocessing techniques include image enhancement and augmentation. For segmentation and feature extraction, the most frequently used methods were k-means and CNN, respectively. Sixty-one studies achieved an accuracy exceeding 90%. However, several key challenges remain: data limitations, methodological issues, and practical constraints. Future research should focus on developing more representative datasets, hybrid approaches that integrate classical and deep learning methods, and lightweight, adaptive decision support systems suitable for real-world agricultural applications. This review supports continued progress in this field by providing valuable insights for researchers developing image-based methods for identifying plant diseases.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and describe magical realism in the novel Inteligensi Embun Pagi by Dee Lestari using the framework of magical realism proposed by Wendy B. Faris. According to Faris, magical realism consists of five characteristics: (1) the irreducible element, (2) the phenomenal world, (3) unsettling doubts, (4) the merging of realms, and (5) disruptions of time, space, and identity. The data in this study consist of words, phrases, sentences, expressions, and paragraphs that contain elements of magical realism. The data source is the novel Inteligensi Embun Pagi by Dee Lestari. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques involving reading and note-taking. The results of the study indicate that there are narrative elements reflecting magical realism based on Wendy B. Faris’s framework in the novel Inteligensi Embun Pagi, including irreducible elements, the phenomenal world, unsettling doubts, the merging of realms, and disruptions of time, space, and identity. Furthermore, the findings reveal that the novel Inteligensi Embun Pagi, when analyzed through Faris’s magical realism perspective, is closely related to magical elements. This is evident in the presence of magical objects, characters, and events, such as characters possessing particular powers, the appearance of figures from other dimensions, and events that are difficult to accept through human rationality.

Abstract

The Village Law stipulates that the Village has the power and origin of adequate funds to be able to control the potential it controls to promote the economy and welfare of its people. Through the efficient, effective and transparent procurement of goods and services by the Village Government, it is very helpful to realize the welfare of the village community as is the case with Kantor Desa Bajarum. Kantor Desa Bajarum has followed the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines on the procurement of village goods and services in the operational process of procuring goods and services. However, in its implementation, the performance of kasi kesra is still very slow because the process of procuring goods and services to monitoring village assets is still in the form of manual input without automation. The data verification process is also carried out by checking one by one so that it is less efficient. In addition, manual data input makes it vulnerable to cases or fraud in the form of corruption of village assets by changing, modifying data so that the facts of the documentation or reports are different from the facts in the field. By utilizing the PIECES (Performance, Information, Economic, Control, Efficiency, Services) method, these problems can be overcome by developing an Information System for procurement and monitoring of village assets. System development is carried out using the Waterfall method. System Design utilizes UML (Unified Modeling Language). This web-based system is built with the PHP programming language and MySQL database. System testing method using Blackbox. This system has been able to run and is optimally implemented at the Kantor Desa Bajarum.
