Abstract

Every architect have their own characteristics on design; simplicity and pay attention in environment and using an advance technology. Norman Foster is one of the architect in designing by using technology and utilizing nature for energy saving. Development Research is a systematic development effort towards designing, developing and evaluating programs, processes and learning products to find the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. In Pangkalan from the wood raw, it produces a large of wood waste. To reduce the waste, it can be utilize into a useful products, so it was a needed to build a development research center for wood derivatives. The concept design is annual rings, wich is the circle continue, to increase along with the age of the plants. Just like Norman Foster, in process of design about how the design can be sustain and how will responsive to the natural surroundings.This design will be the place for utilitize the waste by using techno;ogy in process of marking.Keyword: Development Research Center, Wood Derivatives Production, Annual Rings

Abstract

Muslims in the past were very close to the Islamic doctrine to lived their daily lives, even during the Abbasid Caliphate, Islam had won its victory. On that time, Muslims producedmany discoveries and technologies, almost in all fields of science while they still prioritized the aqeedah and morals taught by Islam. Muslims today can regain their heyday by advancedthe fields of science and technology that will match together with educational facilities and establishment for Muslims. One of these efforts is to build an Islamic Center. The design ofthe Islamic Center in Pekanbaru aims to facilitate the activities of Islamic scientific development in Pekanbaru and also to study the insights of Islamic religion and develop it as the axis of Islamic civilization. The Expressionism Architecture approach is used to be ableto demonstrate the form of buildings that can communicate the feelings and emotions which are created so that the building form has more variation and has a strong attraction for thelocal society to visit this Islamic Center. The design of the Islamic Center uses concept "Hablumminallah wa Hablumminannas" which means the relation between Allah SWT andall the people as His creation to express obedience to the rules of Allah SWT.Keywords: Pekanbaru, Islamic Center, Expressionism Architecture

Abstract

Ports is a facilities of transportasion which still plays an important role in the development of various modes of transport. Especially in Indonesia, known as the MaritimeStates, port as part well as a liaison between the gate area economy. Sei Duku Port is the only port that is located right in Pekanbaru’s downtown, Sei Duku Port plays an important role in the development of Pekanbaru and Riau Province. Along with the times Sei Duku port state currently has some shortcoming such as chaotic circulation, irregular parking area, and don’t accomodate the needs of the water transportation into or out ofPekanbaru. So, it needs to redesign and developing the Sei Duku Port. Redesign and development of the Sei Duku Port apply the structure as an aesthetic element by applying theconcept of tectonics architectural. Application of the theme and concept was done by exposure and processing of the structure of the building so as to overcome the problems that occured on the current port. The result and conclusion of the redesign and development of port activities Sei Duku is, a port must have a regular circulation and grouping and able to accomodate the needs of its users.Key word : Port, sei duku port, the structure as an aesthetic element, the concept of tectonics architectural

Abstract

Kundur Island Resort Park is a resort area design that is equipped with recreation facilities located in Lubuk Beach, Tanjung Batu Kundur, Karimun Regency, Kepulauan Riau. LubukBeach is on an island surrounded by the sea which borders directly with neighboring Malaysia and Singapore. Lubuk Beach has beautiful scenery which is dominated by white sand and big rocks, so that it attracts the attention of foreign and domestic tourists. Theincreasing number of visitors to these attractions is the background of the need for resorts as lodging places for tourists who come far from outside the area. This design uses the theme ofWaterfront Architecture, which is the science of building design which is located on the border between land and water, which has main elements namely economic, social, tourism,and environment which are closely related to physical and visual factors of the area and can also change the image of water aesthetic support. Waterfront Architecture has 4 supportingelements which are the basis for the design of the Kundur Island Resort Park area, including Open Space, Connection, Development, and Sustainable. Concept used in this design isWater. Water is the primary need of living things as well as recreation . Abstract

Lake Diatas is a lake that has a beautiful natural scenery, even some newspapers preach that the beauty of the lake Diatas is not less beautiful with foreign countries, so there are enough tourists who visit this lake. With a very beautiful natural beauty, this place does not have adequate facilities to pamper and make visitors more comfortable to visit enjoy the beauty of the lake. One of the facilities that is necessary to support the lake area above is a decent residential facility. As with the construction of Villa Resort occupancy, the view directly to the lake. Villa Resort is an area of accommodation with a villa unit with a main function in the form of lodging equipped with supporting facilities in the form of entertainment, recreation, relaxation and sports activities. The design principles of Frank Lloyd Wright are as follows: The simplicity and serenity, the expression of personality, the correlation with nature, natural colors, the nature of materials and spiritual integrity. Abstract

The Planetarium as a medium of learning and recreation on the science of astronomy can be displayed in the form of simulation demonstration/performances of celestial bodies. Seeing the highdevelopment of knowledge, Science, and Technology Astronomy, Pekanbaru as a developing city has a vision as a Smart City certainly demands to develop human resources in the field of Astronomy. Astronomy induced the need for container that can accommodate the learning and recreation needs with identical impression of the Planetarium. A Futuristic Architectural approach will be implemented in the building’s design that will expressing a creatiy and innovative display forms. Based on data collection, literature study, comparative study, and empirical study, they can be concluded the concept of Solar System able to make the Planetarium as the core design that is surrounded by supporting activities. By applying special materials on façade with future-oriented can be displayed at the design of this Planetarium.Keywords: Planetarium, Astronomy, Futuristic Architecture.

Abstract

Fashion is a style of dress that is used every day, both in daily life or during certain events with the aim to support the appearance. Fashion education and training spearhead the fashion world. Pekanbaru City does not yet have a place or place to carry out fashion training such as modeling training, fashion warfare training, and cosmetology training which will produce talented generation so that they can perform optimally in local, national and international events. The fashion center can be one right solution to advance the development of fashion in the city of Pekanbaru. This building was planned using the Design Principles of Y. B. Abstract

Chinese cultures are still implemented and applied in Bagansiapiapi as an expression of worship and gratitude to the ancestors. These chinese festivals are celebrated in Bagansiapiapi cause the culture and history of Chinese are known by the local people, both in domestic and abroad. But the problems are the supporting facilities and the places to accommodate these activities are in a low number. Because of that, Chinese Cultural Center in Bagansiapiapi need a building as the activities center that focuses on Chinese culture and to support cultural facilities, to make sure people known about Chinese history, where pedigree is from, and the culture. This research used contemporary architecture approach which suited by the present time, and the Chinese architectural buildings will be able to reflect the contemporary Chinese building without losing the characteristics of the building itself. Through the concept of "Lion Dance" or as known as Barongsai, the building can demonstrate the movement patterns of the Barongsai itself. It also used the Chinese elements including the use of a courtyard, emphasis on the shape of the roof, open structural elements, and the use of colors on the buildings.keywords: Chinese Culture Center, Bagansiapiapi, Contemporary Architecture

Abstract

Dalam revolusi 4.0 saat ini yang mana segala sesuatunya diiringi dengan kemjuan teknologi yang berimbas pada kehidupan kita. Era yang tidak pernah merasa puas dengan hasil yang dicapainya sehingga terus menerus berupaya melakukan inovasi. Dalam sebuah inovasi dibutuhkannya sebuah kekreatifitas dalam menghadapi tantangan era ini. Salah satunya kita bisa memanfaat limbah yang ada disekitar kita seperti limbah dari sisa konstruksi yakni pipa PVC. Dalam pemanfaatannya sisa potongan pipa PVC dapat disulap menjadi sebuah produk yang bernilai tinggi. Desa padang mutung menjadi target pelatihan ini karena di desa padang mutung terdapat banyak sekali sisa potongan pipa PVC, tim pengabdian bekerjasama dengan Kepala Desa Padang Mutung melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat serta melakukan praktek langsung tentang langkah-langka pembuatan kerajinan vas bunga dan bingkai cermin dari sisa PVC, namun dikarenakan ilmu yang kurang tidak ada yang memanfaatkannya. Dalam pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan ilmu serta membuka pikiran kreatif warga desa padang mutung. Serta dapat membantu terbukanya peluang bisnis yang dapat membangkitkan perekonomian warga padang mutung

Abstract

Salah satu pulau yang berada dalam wilayah Negara Republik Indonesia yaitu pulau Tanjungbalai Karimun denga luas ± 17,73 km2 ( 17.730 Ha). Tanjungbalai Karimun merupakan salah satu pulau dalam gugusan Kepulauan Riau. . Dalam rancangan RPJMD Provinsi Kepulauan Riau, pengembangan wilayah di kabupaten karimun ditujuksan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah dan daya saing komoditas unggulan, salah satunya di industri pariwisata dengan memfokukuskan pengembangan pariwisata dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas pelabuhan bebas. Sebagai daerah yang berpotensi ramai disinggahi, pentingnya pengadaan terminal pelabuhan yang dapat menunjang keberlangsungannya kegiatan pelabuhan merupakan sebuah langkah untuk memberikan kenyamanan bagi pengguna. Salah satu fasilitas penunjang yang dapat memberikan rasa nyaman pada penumpang yaitu terminal penumpang dengan kapasitas yang besar, aman, nyaman, luas, bersih, sejuk, menarik dan juga fasilitas yang lengkap. Dalam perancangan Terminal Ferry Internasional di Tanjungbalai Karimun akan menggunakan konsep pendekatan Eco-Technology Architecture ,yaitu pendekatan desain yang mengaitkan dan menyelaraskan lingkungan dan berlandaskan kepedulian tentang konservasi lingkungan global dengan penekanan pada efisiensi energy, pemakaian lahan, serta pengelolaan limbah yang efektif dalam tatanan arsitektur
