Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to describe the important role of organizational culture in strengthening the deontology ethics of local media journalists. Deontological ethics states that the will to do good must arise from within a person's individual. Organizational culture is one of the means used to instill, strengthen and internalize these values. Technological disruptions that have an impact on changes in media consumption, the closure of print media, the development of online media have changed the dynamics of journalistic practice in Indonesia. The important role of ethics comes to the fore in maintaining the quality of local media journalistic practices. Methods: This research was conducted with a phenomenological approach. The data were obtained from interviews with local media journalists in Central Java. Informants in this study are journalists who have worked for more than 20 years in local media, members of journalist organizations and actively provide journalistic ethics training. Findings: Ethics are still considered important by journalists. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen ethics considering that not all journalists have adequate knowledge and understanding of ethics. The culture of media organizations and professional organizations plays an important role in strengthening the deontology ethics of local media journalists. Originality: This research provides a novelty on how to strengthen the deontological ethics of local media journalists through strengthening organizational culture. This research provides it in terms of building journalist ethics as individuals and the media as a press company that sells news ideology.

Abstract

Deadly accident at Tugu Tani Jakarta not only shows the human side of an event. Dissemination of information through mass media is no longer dominant in determining how the audience should act. The emergence of social networking sites opens new channels for the dissemination of public information that is more believable. The development of information technology not only marked by the turn of the communication device but coupled with changes in the behavior of human users. They are actively selecting and using various media to meet the information needs, socialize, trade, and show the existence. The position of the mass media is no longer dominant in determining the type of information and the consuming public dictates the type of information. Through a social networking site and diverse site audience and information providers are actively selecting and using various types of information. In this position the media as marginalized (decenter) and does not become a major reference source.

Abstract

PR performance principle formulated as part of the management functions to achieve the objectives of an organization. Likewise with the influence of religious scriptures embraced by  every individual involved in the communication process. One scripture that the reference human life is the Qur'an as a way of life of Muslims. Related to the practice and science of public  relations it is interesting to look at dikontruksi how Islamic law principle of PR performance. The scales of the Shari'a as an integral part of the life of a Muslim will guide how he practice the principles of PR performance. Institutions are trying to get support through activities that  can provoke support from the public without coercion or through a stage of conflict. Arthur W. Page mentions a number of principles that can be used in practice and as a philosophical PR in  maintaining relations with the public institutions.

Abstract

U-Jek was developed by Zarkasyi, in Unissula Semarang. This study aims to explain the communication strategy to develop an online taxibike (ojek) value-based Islam. This research strategy is descriptive qualitative research. Through this strategy, researchers want to know the current condition of U-Jek, ojek in Semarang. Researchers will explain the development of student ojek in Semarang, researchers also eager to analyze the using of communication strategy, and to formulate the right strategy to develop student ojek in Semarang. The researcher also elaborates U-Jek's communication strategy and reveals its advantages and disadvantages. The results show that the biggest challenge of U-Jek communication strategy is the commitment of its managers. U-Jek Manager must increase its communication channel capacity by developing digital application service. In the pyramid communication plan, U-Jek's manager does not pay attention to the aspect of the framework of issues which become message base.
