Abstract

As the capital of North Sumatra, Medan City has an image that is quite attached to durian culinary destinations. This can be seen from the many culinary businesses that make durian their flagship product so that it can become an icon of culinary tourism in Medan. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the attractiveness, management, and promotion mix of culinary tourism products in three leading durian outlets in Medan City: Ucok Durian, Pelawi Durian, and Durian Ucok Tanjung. The method used in this study is exploratory qualitative with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observations, literature studies and documentation. The advertising promotion mix involves social media, print media, electronic media, and display signs. The sales promotion method is offered through free trials, discounts, and attractive promos during the durian season. Managers carry out The personal selling method whenever they fill in trade shows and festivals. The public relations method is carried out through collaboration with durian agents, being a seminar and media resource person, and becoming a sponsor for an activity.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a crucial factor in achieving optimal learning outcomes, especially in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects that require conceptual understanding and analysis. This study was motivated by the low interest in learning by 5th grade students of SDN 28 in IPAS lessons which is often caused by the delivery of material that is conventional and less interesting. Therefore, this study aims to analyze in depth the effectiveness of utilizing the Quizizz application as an interactive learning media in increasing student learning motivation in the subject. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to explore this phenomenon, with data collection techniques through participatory observation during learning, in-depth interviews with representative teachers and students, and analysis of learning outcome documentation. The subjects of the study were 25 5th grade students of SDN 28. The results of the study consistently showed that the implementation of the Quizizz application had a significant positive impact on increasing student learning motivation. Students' enthusiasm and active involvement in the IPAS learning process increased drastically. The gamification features offered by Quizizz, such as a point acquisition system, a real-time leaderboard display, and the presence of healthy competition elements between students, have proven effective in triggering interest and maintaining student focus. Teachers also reported an increase in two-way interactions in class and a better understanding of science concepts among students. These findings confirm that Quizizz is a gamification-based interactive learning media that has the potential to transform the learning atmosphere to be more fun and motivating, so that it can be an effective solution to overcome low student learning motivation. ABSTRAKMotivasi belajar merupakan faktor krusial dalam pencapaian hasil belajar yang optimal, terutama pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) yang menuntut pemahaman konsep dan analisis. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat belajar siswa kelas 6 SDN 28 terhadap pelajaran IPAS yang seringkali disebabkan oleh penyampaian materi yang bersifat konvensional dan kurang menarik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam efektivitas pemanfaatan aplikasi Quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran tersebut. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi fenomena ini, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatif selama pembelajaran, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa representatif, serta analisis dokumentasi hasil belajar. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas 6 SDN 28. Hasil penelitian secara konsisten menunjukkan bahwa penerapan aplikasi Quizizz memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa. Antusiasme dan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran IPAS meningkat drastis. Fitur-fitur gamifikasi yang ditawarkan Quizizz, seperti sistem perolehan poin, tampilan leaderboard secara real-time, dan adanya elemen kompetisi sehat antarsiswa, terbukti efektif memicu ketertarikan dan mempertahankan fokus siswa. Guru juga melaporkan adanya peningkatan interaksi dua arah di kelas serta pemahaman konsep IPAS yang lebih baik di kalangan siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Quizizz merupakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis gamifikasi yang potensial untuk mentransformasi suasana belajar menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan memotivasi, sehingga dapat menjadi solusi efektif mengatasi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

The revitalization and rejuvenation of Kota Tua urgently requires the role of local stakeholders in a sustainable manner. The study aims to see how revitalization can preserve the city's cultural heritage, preserve historical values, and develop the economic sector. The study is in the Kota Tua area, Jamblang, Cirebon. The study method uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The study emphasizes field phenomena as well as indicators of sustainable tourism development. Indicators used in connection with this study are a) sites, b) local culture, c) historical buildings, d) area landscapes, and e) community participation in conservation. These indicators have varying levels of importance and quality in Cirebon. The revitalization and rejuvenation of the Kota Tua has a high level of importance and quality in Cirebon.

Abstract

This study employed a multifaceted approach to map and quantify the above-ground carbon (AGC) content of mangrove forests using multispectral data analysis. The scoring method involved assigning values to various parameters based on their landscape characteristics. The research was conducted at beach locations in South Lembar Village and Lembar Village. Fieldwork took place in mangrove areas from July to August 2024. Sampling locations were determined using a purposive sampling method, in which samples were selected based on specific landscape criteria. The study incorporated both primary and secondary data sources. Primary data were collected through in-situ measurements and sampling, while secondary data were obtained from literature reviews and relevant institutional databases. The Random Forest (RF) classification method demonstrated high efficacy in identifying mangrove ecosystems, achieving an overall accuracy (OA) of 0.968 and a Kappa coefficient of 0.918. These metrics indicate strong agreement between the classification results and ground truth data. The analysis revealed that mangrove ecosystems covered approximately 50.08 hectares in the study area, indicating significant potential for ecotourism development, particularly for trekking routes. This study contributes to the understanding of mangrove ecosystem distribution and its potential for sustainable tourism development, particularly as climate change adaptation initiatives. The high accuracy of the mapping results provides a reliable basis for informed decision-making in environmental management and ecotourism planning. Further studies may be needed to assess the carrying capacity of these ecosystems and to develop strategies for their conservation alongside sustainable tourism practices. The mangrove area still requires overall landscape development, with assessment results showing an average score of 6.3, indicating moderate conditions and a need for improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to perform a reconditioning of the Fehlmann Picomax 20 milling machine head in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory of the Bangka Belitung State Polytechnic of Manufacturing. The main damage to the machine head was caused by the accumulation of swarf and frozen grease in the gear and machine column sections. The reconditioning process includes data collection, problem identification, root cause failure analysis using the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and 5-Why Analysis methods, repair planning, the repair process, and testing after the repair has been carried out. The test results show that the machine head has been able to function again according to its specifications, including in functional testing, machine performance testing, and column straightness testing. In addition, preventive maintenance has been designed to prevent similar damage from recurring in the future. This project is expected to improve the effectiveness of student learning and extend the operational life of the machine.

Abstract

The population prevalence in Kacang Butor Village in September 2023 was recorded at 2,638 people with 928 heads of families divided into 1,398 people for men and 1,285 people for women. As for the data obtained with the classification of elderly people in Kacang Butor Village, there were 207 people, including 54 people in Air Behang Hamlet, 30 people in Bukit Indah Hamlet, 55 people in Kacang Butor Hamlet, and 68 people in Kepayang Hamlet. Elderly or the elderly phase is a period of human development where the function of the body's organs begins to decline. Based on the background of the characteristics of the elderly, IAIN KKN student Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung carried out cleaning elderly home volunteer activities to improve the health and welfare of the population. In particular, cleaning elderly home volunteers aims to raise awareness among the local community about how important it is to look after the people around them, especially the elderly. This activity was approved by the village government and community social workers (PSM) because it was very relevant to conditions in the field. Apart from that, this activity was held for the first time in Kacang Butor Village. Therefore, the implementation of activities is carried out by KKN students, the community, and remains under the supervision of community social workers (PSM). Prevalensi penduduk di Desa Kacang Butor pada September 2023 tercatat sebanyak 2.638 jiwa dengan 928 kepala keluarga terbagi menjadi 1.398 jiwa untuk laki-laki dan 1.285 jiwa untuk perempuan. Adapun perolehan data dengan klasifikasi lansia di Desa Kacang Butor tercatat sebanyak 207 jiwa meliputi 54 jiwa Dusun Air Begantung, 30 jiwa Dusun Bukit Indah, 55 jiwa Dusun Kacang Butor, dan 68 jiwa Dusun Kepayang. Lansia atau fase manula adalah masa perkembangan manusia dimana fungsi organ tubuh mulai menurun. Berdasarkan latar belakang karakteristik lansia mahasiswa KKN IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung mengusungkan kegiatan cleaning elderly home volunteer untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan dan kesejahteraan penduduk. Secara khusus cleaning elderly home volunteer bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran bagi masyarakat sekitar betapa pentingnya menjaga orang sekitar terutama lansia. Kegiatan ini disetujui oleh pemerintah desa dan pekerja sosial masyarakat (PSM) karena sangat relevan dengan kondisi di lapangan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini baru pertama kali diadakan di Desa Kacang Butor. Oleh sebab itu, pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan oleh mahasiswa KKN, masyarakat, dan tetap dalam pengawasan pekerja sosial masyarakat (PSM).

Abstract

In this era of cyber crimes, data security is an important aspect that needs special attention from an organization. This is reinforced by the ratification of Law Number 27 of 2022 on personal data security. The National Zakat Amil Institute (LAZNAS) Yayasan Dana Sosial al Falah (YDSF) as an institution with a legal entity and having data on more than 100,000 donors and partners, it also has an obligation to protect the personal data of donors and partners.  The focus of this research is to evaluate and audit information technology at the LAZNAS YDSF, especially regarding the security aspect of information technology. Evaluations and audits were carried out using the ISO 27001 framework as a standardization of information technology security at the international level. In this study, information technology audits were conducted using quantitative methods. The assessment was carried out on seven main clauses that are priorities for the LAZNAS YDSF based on management priorities: compliance clauses, risk management, policies, assets, physical and environmental management, access control, and incident management. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to all the LAZNAS YDSF managers and employees. Fifty-five respondents, ranging from management to staff, were involved in filling out the questionnaire, ranging from management to staff. Based on the recapitulation of answers from respondents, it was found that the risk management and access control clauses had good results, with scores of 2,727 and 2,796. The compliance and incident management clauses have scores of 2.381 and 2.53, respectively; therefore, improvement efforts need to be made. By evaluating and auditing information technology that refers to the ISO 27001 standard, it is hoped that LAZNAS YDSF can protect and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, and manage and control information security risks.

Abstract

Based on the conditions in the class students are less active and think critically in the teaching and learning process. students face new contextual problems that are different from those exemplified, students have not been able to think critically and find solutions correctly. This research is based on the following problems: (a) increasing Civics learning achievement by applying the Think Pair Share cooperative learning method? (b) the effect of the Learning Method on the motivation to learn Civics?. This study uses three cycles of action research. Each round consists of four stages, namely: design, activity and observation, reflection, and revision. The target of this research is the fourth grade students of SDN Sungkai State for the academic year 2020/2021. The data obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of student learning activities. From the results of the analysis obtained that student learning achievement has increased from pre-cycles that do not pass 50% pass 50%, cycle I who do not pass 30% pass 70%, cycle II does not pass 20% pass 80% and cycle III does not pass 10 % pass 90%. The conclusion of this study is that the learning method with the Think Pair Share model can have a positive effect on the achievement and learning outcomes of Class IV SDN Sungkai State Elementary School students in the 2020/2021 academic year, and this learning model can be used as an alternative model for Civics learning Keywords: Improving Learning Achievement, Think-Pair-Share, Learning Achievement

Abstract

Principal leadership is an effective factor that can encourage schools to realize the school's vision and mission, goals and objectives through school programs that are implemented in a planned and gradual manner. Therefore school principals are required to have adequate abilities, both professional knowledge, instructional leadership, administrative skills, and social skills to improve school quality. In this study the approach taken was a qualitative approach, because qualitative research is research that intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by research subjects, for example, behavior, perceptions, motivations, actions and so on, holistically and by means of descriptions in the form of words. words and language, in a special natural context and by utilizing various natural methods. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded as follows: 1. The principal's strategy in improving teacher performance at SDN 1 Sangkaran Bhakti by implementing strategies includes: a. improve discipline, b. provide motivation, c. giving awards, d. open, e. kinship and f. discussion. 2. The obstacles experienced by the principal in improving teacher performance at SDN 1 Sangkaran Bhakti include: a. limited facilities, b. teacher commitment is not good, c. the teacher performs other businesses that sometimes interfere with his official duties, and d. mastery of the material.
