Abstract

Commodities of food crops that have an important role for Indonesian people except rice is cassava. Cassava can be utilized into a variety of processed products and become one of the profitable business opportunities. Abbas Sawargi is the largest business in Bandung area that process cassava into peuyeum. Peuyeum is a food product of cassava fermentation with yeast and it is one of traditional food from West Java. This study aims to determine the business model on business Peuyeum Abbas Sawargi. This research is used qualitative design with case study technique. The primary data were obtained from the owner and manager of Peuyeum Abbass Sawargi. Data analysis using Business Model Canvas. The description of business model is obtained through business design process with storytelling technique, visual thinking, and prototyping. The result of the research shows that there is a building block which is the main thing in the formation of Peuyeum Abbas Sawargi business is by looking at Key Resources that already exist, such as using cassava that has been planted so that it can be used as business opportunity. There are several obstacles in business of Peueyum Abbas Sawargi on Key Activity block especially in the promotion, marketing and administration.Keywords : Processed Cassava, Peuyeum, Business Model Canvas.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Katata merupakan salah satu kelompok tani yang melaksanakan sistem kemitraan dengan perusahaan mitra di Kecamatan Pangalengan. Salah satu perusahaan mitranya adalah PT Hero Supermarket Tbk yang merupakan salah satu pelaku ritel modern di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan manajemen usaha tani yang terjadi pada petani anggota dan mitra kelompok tani Katata. Penelitian dilakukan di Kelompok Tani Katata, Kecamatan Pangalengan, Kabupaten Bandung pada bulan Februari 2016. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan tabel perubahan untuk mengetahui perubahan manajemen usaha tani petani dan analisis deskriptif untuk mengetahui faktor yang menyebabkan petani merubah manajemen usaha tani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan manajemen usaha tani terjadi pada kegiatan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, dan penilaian/evaluasi, dengan indikasi/kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh faktor kontak dengan sumber informasi di luar masyarakatnya, keaktifan mencari sumber informasi, tersedianya media komunikasi, adanya sumber informasi secara rinci, dan faktor-faktor alam.

Abstract

Bunga mawar potong merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang diusahakan oleh masyarakat di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Fluktuasi harga yang diakibatkan perbedaan jaringan pemasaran menyebabkan perbedaan nilai yang diterima oleh masing-masing pelaku terutama petani. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efesiensi pemasaran bunga mawar potong di Desa Kertawangi kecamatan Cisarua Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik studi kasus. Penentuan responden petani menggunakan metode purposive dan untuk responden lembaga pemasaran menggunakan metode snowball. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga saluran pemasaran dan yang paling efisien adalah saluran pemasaran III (Petani – Pedagang Pengecer – Konsumen) dibandingkan saluran saluran pemasaran I dan II.

Abstract

Penerapan pemasaran secara online tidak hanya dilakukan pada produk industri, melainkan dilakukan untuk produk pertanian, salah satunya adalah sayuran segar. Dalam upaya untuk meraih keberhasilan dalam bisnis ini, maka petani sebagai produsen harus dapat memberikan kepuasan kepada konsumen dengan cara menerapkan strategi yang dapat meningkatkan kinerja dari atribut produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan konsumen dan kinerja atribut produk sayuran dari Pasar Kecil Bandung. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain kualitatif dan teknik penelitian survei deskriptif. Analisis data menggunakan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) dan Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumen puas terhadap atribut produk sayuran. Namun untuk meningkatkan tingkat kepu-asan maka kinerja beberapa atribut harus ditingkatkan. Atribut produk yang harus diprioritaskan untuk diperbaiki, yaitu variasi sayuran dan kemasan mampu men-jaga kualitas sayuran. Strategi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memperbaiki kemasan dan memberikan variasi paket sayuran yang lebih beragam.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian mengenai pengendalian kualitas pada rantai pasok sayuran selada NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) adalah untuk melihat kinerja pelaku yang ada dalam rantai pasok sebagai upaya dalam pengendalian kualitas produk dalam bisnis pertanian. Penelitian dilakukan pada PT. Momenta Agrikultura “Amazing Farm” yang berlokasi di Desa Cikahuripan Kampung Cisaroni RT 002/008, Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat Indonesia. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain kualitatif didukung data kuantitatif dengan teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan permasalahan utama adalah kontrak yang tidak memadai serta penanganan yang kasar disebabkan kurangnya pengawasan dan evaluasi kinerja secara rutin, serta pengendalian kualitas proses produksi pada rantai pasok selada dilakukan oleh pemasok dan PT Momenta Agrikultura “Amazing Farm”. Kinerja PT Momenta Agrikultura “Amazing Farm” mendekati empat sigma, yang mana merupakan standar industri Amerika dan melebihi standar kebanyakan industri di Indonesia. Tindakan pada perbaikan dan pengendalian yang diusulkan yaitu pembenahan kontrak, pembagian informasi, perbaikan metode kerja dan mengu-rangi resiko penurunan kualitas dengan Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) pada Packing House agar lebih steril, efektif, dan efisien.

Abstract

Broccoli is one of the prospective horticultural products to be developed, beside it has a good nutrition for health, broccoli also hasan interesting physical form. Broccoli is generally preferred by consumers of modern market, sold as fresh with adjust table size with consumer demand. On the other hand, broccoli has aperishable nature, with an unique morphological characteristics. Modern market demand requires a certainspec for broccoli, it cause farmers had tochange the way they do in their  business, so that their products are well received by the modern market. There fore, this study aims to determine the entrepreneurial orientation offarmersso it canmeet the demand ofbroccolito themodernmarket. Broccoli’s Farmer has a high entrepreneurial spirit, as seen from the orientation of farmers in view the future. Farmers see the modern market as an alternative market with a huge potential market in the future, so that the farmers do a variety of creative effort to make their business performance more efficiently so it can serve the  modern market better. The method usedinthisstudyis thecase studies method, theanalysis techniqueused isdescriptive qualitativeanalysis. Research shows that broccoli farmers as an entrepreneur has an unique characteristics and valuesin running their business. Broccoli farmes entrepreneurial orientation in Kecamatan Lembang emphasizes the creation of business innovation, always doing to do the improvement process of their supply chain product, namely with implementing strategies for business collaboration with other actors in the broccoli supply chain. They also always proactivein receivinga request from the modern market as an alternative market for their business, so their businesses can be more competitive and be able to runcontinuously.

Abstract

Peluang pasar sayuran organic yang meningkat kurang diikuti dengan meningkatnya jumlah petani yang mengusahakan sayuran organic karena tingkat adopsi sayuran organic masih terbilang lambat. Pemahaman mengenai persepsi petani merupakan hal penting untuk menyusun kebijakan pengembangan pertanian organic di masa yang akan datang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi petani terhadap teknologi budidaya sayuran organic serta hubungannya dengan karakteristik petani.Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Lembang, Parongpong dan Cisarua Kabupaten Bandung Barat denga responden 60 orang petani sayuran organic. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan menggunakan analisis korelasi rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan petani memiliki persepsi yang positif terhadap keuntungan membudidayakansayuran organic, kesesuaian teknologi budidaya dengan kelestarian lingkungan, kemudahan dalam pelaksanaan budidaya sayuran organic, serta kemudahan mendapatkan informasi teknis budidaya.Dukungan dan pendampingan dari pemerintah sangan dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan motivasi petani dalam mengembangkan praktek pertanian organic.

Abstract

This study aims to identify entrepreneurial characteristics possessed by young farmers. Young farmers who are the object of study are horticulture farmers in Kabupaten Bandung Barat. This study tries to explain the characteristics of farmers in terms of entrepreneurship. This study focuses on young farmers in Cisarua, Parongpong, and Lembang Subdistricts, with land ownership of no more than two hectares (small scale). The determination of the sample is done by a stratified random sampling method. The strata in this study are young farmers under the age of 40 and farming in the sub-sector of horticulture products in Kabupaten Bandung Barat. The next step is to determine the sample in the study as many as 120 farmers. Farmers who play a role as entrepreneurs are not only experts in the production process, but they have visionary results-oriented business managerial skills. The results of the study show that the majority of respondents have moderate (moderate) entrepreneurial characteristics. This is more due to the farming climate in rural areas which is still moderate, not oriented to professionalism and entrepreneurship. However, young farmers have a desire to develop, so that their business processes are different from those of farmers in general, where young farmers are starting to implement professional work methods in their gardens. The entrepreneurial approach has been seen in the way they do business, where they always want to be better, always look for the latest information, create innovations in the garden, apply management in their farming and take risks.

Abstract

Acreage and production of tea plant in Purwakarta decreased compared to previous years. Price of tea leaf  is less favorable making farmers less eager to continue to pursue this commodity. Sindangpanon farmer group seeks to increase the value added tea leaf to process into dry tea, but various obstacles make this business has not developed. The purpose of this study was to: 1) analyze the problems faced by farmers' groups in running the business processing tea leaf; 2) analyze the impact of efforts to increase the capacity of farmer groups to produce competitive products. This study is an action research and designed with a qualitative design. Informants in this study is the management and members of farmer groups Sindangpanon well as the staff of the Department of Agriculture, Plantation and forestry, PurwakartaDistrict. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. The results showed the tea leaf processing enterprises difficult to develop due to lack of competitive products, the market is still limited and the managerial ability needs to be improved. Event strengthening the capacity of farmer groups that do have an impact on increasing the knowledge and skills of the group members in running the business and increased sales volume.

Abstract

Market demand, especially structured markets demands quality and continuity of production, in addition to the quantity aspect. Mango farmers in Majalengka Regency have also not been fully able to meet market demand, especially in terms of quality and product continuity. Farmers must be able to follow market demand in order to survive in their business and be able to compete with mango farmers in other countries. The limitations of farmers in accessing capital, markets and information often become obstacles for farmers in developing their businesses. The purpose of this study was to analyze the accessibility of farmers to agricultural information and analyze the relationship of farmers' accessibility to agricultural information with entrepreneurial behavior of mango farmers in Majalengka District. Entrepreneurial behavior of farmers can be built one of them through appropriate communication strategies so that mango farmers can develop their businesses to improve the welfare of farmers. The research was carried out with Survey-explanatory method. Farmers were taken randomly as many as 100 people. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and inferently. To analyze the relationship between various variables the research was carried out by rank Spearman correlation analysis. The results of this study showed that some farmers find it quite difficult to obtain information about technical cultivation and climatic or weather conditions, while market information is perceived to be easily accessible to most farmers. Entrepreneurial behavior is related to farmers' accessibility to cultivation information and climatic or weather conditions. Information and communication technology can be used to improve farmers' accessibility to agricultural information
