Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan individu. Untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan, guru perlu memperhatikan gaya belajar siswa agar proses pembelajaran menjadi efektif dan efisien. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara gaya belajar siswa dengan hasil belajar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya belajar siswa kelas X dan hubungannya dengan hasil belajar pada materi Protista di SMA Negeri 1 Godong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan sampel sebanyak 68 siswa dari kelas X MIA 3 dan X MIA 5. Data gaya belajar dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Sedangkan data hasil belajar dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan uji korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya belajar visual merupakan gaya belajar yang paling dominan dimiliki oleh siswa, diikuti oleh gaya belajar auditori dan kinestetik. Hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik tergolong baik, meskipun terdapat variasi dalam kategori hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi dan regresi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara gaya belajar siswa dengan hasil belajar pada materi Protista di SMA Negeri 1 Godong. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya perhatian terhadap gaya belajar siswa dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang efektif. Sarana dan prasarana yang memadai juga berperan penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of different concentrations of added activated carbon and determine the optimal concentration in the in vitro culture growing medium for Dendrobium welirang orchids to increase plant growth. The type of research used is true experimentation. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), and the sample used in this research was the orchid species Dendrobium welirang. The instrument used is in the form of a table. The type of data used is quantitative data. The data were analyzed statistically using the ANOVA test. Data collection was carried out in the third month after planting. The data taken includes leaf length, number of leaves, root length, and number of roots. The results of the research showed that adding variations in activated carbon concentration to the in vitro culture medium affected the parameters of root number, root length, leaf length, and number of leaves of the Dendrobium welirang orchid. In conclusion, the addition of activated carbon has a real influence on the growth of Dendrobium welirang orchids. Keywords: Dendrobium welirang, Activated Carbon, In vitro Culture.

Abstract

Pembuahan ganda merupakan materi yang abstrak dipahami oleh siswa sehingga mereka merasa sulit untuk memahaminya. Di Jawa Tengah terdapat tradisi temu manten yang dari segi konsep memiliki kemiripan dengan pembuahan ganda. Oleh karena antara dua konsep ini bisa diterapkan dalam satu pembelajaran yaitu pembelajaran analogi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran analogi temu manten pada pembuahan ganda terhadap pemahaman siswa kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Todanan di Kabupaten Blora. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa non- equivallen control group desain. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data berupa metode test. Penelitian ini diterapkan pada dua kelas yaitu kelas 9A sebagai kelas kontrol sedangkan kelas 9B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pemahaman kelas eksperimen dengan pembelajaran analogi temu manten pada pembuahan ganda lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Hal ini terjadi karena pembelajaran analogi menjadi jembatan bagi siswa untuk memahami materi target berupa pembuahan ganda dengan menggunakan analogi temu manten. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran analogi temu manten pada pembuahan ganda berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman siswa.

Abstract

Background: Sengon is a fast-growing plant harvested 5-7 years after planting and is easily attacked by termites, so it needs to be preserved. Siwalan fruit husks and corn cobs are usually thrown away without being processed into useful products, even though these materials contain lignin, cellulose, and phenolics, which have the potential to act as anti-termite substances. To determine the potential of liquid smoke from siwalan husk and corn cob waste as a preservative for sengon wood ( Paraserianthes falcataria). Methods: This research was conducted at the Biology Laboratory, Campus 3, PGRI University, Semarang, in September 2023. The research method was RAL (Completely Randomized Design) 9 treatments with three repetitions, namely: P0 (control), 5% liquid smoke from palm fruit husk waste (P1), 10% (P2), 15% (P3), and 20% (P4). Next, corn cob liquid smoke was 5% (P5), 10% (P6), 15% (P7), and 20% (P8). Results: The best increase in wood density was treatment P8, P1, P2, P5, P0, P3, P4, P6, and P7. The best increase in water content of sengon wood is in formulas P8, P4, P2, P6, P7, P1, P0, P5, and P3. The concentration of corncob liquid smoke contains the highest total Cr and dissolved Fe compounds compared to distilled water and liquid smoke from siwalan fruit peel waste, so it can potentially preserve sengon wood. Conclusions: liquid smoke from siwalan fruit peel and corn cob waste can be used as a preservative for sengon wood.

Abstract

Abstrak. Permasalahan yang terjadi di SMP Islam Yasna adalah rendahnya hasil belajar kognitif yang dimiliki siswa, salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yaitu menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan etnopedagogi seni rakyat barong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan etnopedagogi seni rakyat barong terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup di SMP Islam Yasna, Kabupaten Grobogan. Metode penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP Islam Yasna dengan Sampel kelas VII A dan VII B. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Pretest dan Postest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan etnopedagogi seni rakyat barong mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan skor hasil belajar kognitif siswa yaitu pada kelas VII A memiliki nilai rata-rata 85,79 dan kelas VII B memiliki nilai rata-rata 75,35. Pendekatan etnopedagogi seni rakyat Barong berdampak positif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada pembelajaran IPA dibandingkan dengan pendekatan inkuiri karena dengan pendekatan etnopedagogi siswa akan lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran. Abstract. The problem that occurs at Yasna Islamic Junior High School is the low level of cognitive learning that students have, one of the efforts to improve students’ cognitive learning results is using a learning based on the ethnopedagogi approach of barong folk art. This study aims to find out the effect of the ethnopedagogi approach of folk art on students’ cognitive learning results on the classification material of living things at SMP Islam Yasna, Grobogan Regency. The research method is experimental quessi with the research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population used in this study was all grade VII students at SMP Islam Yasna with Class VII A and VII B samples. Data collection techniques using Pretest and Postest. Research results show that the ethnopedagogical approach of barong folk art has a significant effect on students’ cognitive learning outcomes with a grade VIIA average of 85.79 and grade VIIB average of 75.35. Barong folk art ethnopedagogy has a positive effect on improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes on IPA learning compared to the inquiring approach because students will be more active in learning with the ethnopedagogy approach.

Abstract

Lichen is a symbiotic organism between fungi and algae which is used as a bioindicator of air pollution. This study aims to determine the diversity of species and distribution areas of lichen in Baturraden Botanical Garden, Banyumas Regency by using purposive random sampling method. Sampling was carried out at three stations, namely flora of Java forest (Javanese mountain plants), resin tree forest (damar forest), and natural forest. Based on the results of the research at the three observation stations, 10 species of lichen were found. The lichens found belonged to 8 families including Cryptothecia striata (Family Arthoniaceae), Dirinaria picta (Family Caliciaceae), Graphis scripta and Diorygma poitaei (Family Graphidaceae), Parmotrema austrosinense and Parmotrema perlatum (Family Parmeliaceae), Psilolechia lucida (Family Psilolechiaceae), Lepraria caeosioalba (Family Stereocaulaceae), Normandina pulchella (Family Verrucariaceae), Opegrapha atra (Family Opegraphaceae). The thallus types of lichen found were foliose, crustose, and squamulose species. The average value of the species diversity index from the three stations is H' = 1.493 in the moderate abundance category. The distribution of lichens in Baturraden Botanical Garden is influenced by climatic factors (light intensity, air temperature, humidity), topographic factors (altitude) and environmental conditions.

Abstract

PBL based performance assessment involves students directly and can train them to face various problems and find solutions to problems. Science learning in class VIII shows that critical thinking skills are still relatively lacking in the process of discovering concepts in the material and the ability to answer questions based on critical thinking skills. The low level of critical thinking skills is caused by students lack of conceptual discovery of the material being taught and examining the relationship between the material and solving problems in daily life, which is done directly through performance assessments, which were previously rarely implemented in the classroom. The PBL syntax embedded in the performance assessment rubric is also integrated with the critical thinking skills component. The aim of this research is to find out whether PBL-based performance assessment can be used to measure students' critical thinking abilities. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach with descriptive data explanation in class VIII D of SMPN 37 Semarang. Students are asked to develop critical thinking skills through group work, with the results of practical and product performance assessment activities showing a good category. Where the practice percentage shows the lowest value with a percentage of 50% in the deduction dimension, with activities to determine conclusions and consider the results of the analysis with problems in each group to answer questions. The percentage of practice shows the highest score with a percentage of 75% in the dimensions of inference, recognition and interpretation with information analysis activities, exploration of information and conditions, identification of information obtained, presenting solutions and preventive efforts and the results of group work.

Abstract

Background: Phalaenopsis amabilis, or the moon orchid, is a popular type of orchid with high market demand. Planting media is a factor that can be successful in caring for the Phalaenopsis amabilis, which is an epiphytic orchid type or attaches to other plants. Most orchid planting techniques have not been adapted to their natural habitat in nature that attaches to other plants. The planting medium generally used for epiphytic orchids such as Phalaenopsis amabilis is fern boards, which are limited in nature. Researchers see the potential for coffee wood. Many can be used as a planting medium for Phalaenopsis amabilis because this plant is also found growing naturally in coffee plants. Methods: The research used comparative studies between coffee sticks and fern boards as planting media for Phalaenopsis amabilis on their vegetative growth according to their natural habitat by attaching to other plants. The analysis results were obtained by statistical tests t–test unpaired) using SPSS. Results: The analysis showed p ≤ 0.05 on the four parameters of Phalaenopsis amabilis growth. There are differences in the use of planting media types of coffee logs (M1) and fern boards (M2) on the vegetative growth of Phalaenopsis amabilis orchid plants, including the number of leaves, leaf span, leaf width, and root length. Conclusions: The vegetative growth on M1 and M2 is significantly different. The fern board planting media (M2) tends to be more recommended for use. After all, it can be optimal in providing vegetative growth consisting of the number of leaves, leaf span, leaf width, and root length because its growth is more stable.

Abstract

Etobotani dapat diartikan sebagai ilmu yang mengkaji pemanfaatan tumbuh-tumbuhan oleh masyarakat dalam suatu lingkungan tertentu. Semua jenis tumbuhan masuk dalam kajian etnobotani salah satunya adalah tumbuhan obat. Sejalan dengan kondisi pandemi, tumbuhan obat merupakan salah satu jenis tumbuhan yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat termasuk masyarakat RT 09 RW 04 Dukuh Kranggan Desa Kayen Kecamatan Kayen Kabupaten Pati.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat RT 09 RW 04 Dukuh Kranggan Desa Kayen Kecamatan Kayen Kabupaten Pati Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal bulan November - Desember 2021 menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif melalui survei dan wawancara. Berdasarkan penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat 18 jenis tumbuhan obat yang ditemukan di RT 09 RW 04 Dukuh Kranggan Desa Kayen Kecamatan Kayen Kabupaten Pati Jawa Tengah. Adapun jenis tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan oleh masayarakat berjumlah 16 jenis. Jenis tumbuhan obat tersebut adalah belimbing wuluh, kelor, jambu merah, sirih merah, kencur, jahe, lidah buaya, pepaya, serai, salam, katuk, sirsak, daun binahong, yodium, jeruk nipis dan beluntas. Adapun beberapa manfaat dari tumbuhan obat tersebut adalah sebagai obat batuk, obat luka, obat asam urat dan menjaga imunitas.
