Abstract

The changes in college curriculum that refers to the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework has consequences on curriculum changes in the Biology Education Study Program of Universitas PGRI Semarang, so that there are adjustments in the course of Plant Anatomy which were initially 2 SKS and Plant Morphology which was initially 2 SKS into one course, Plant Development Structure, with the weight of 3 SKS, so that effective learning is needed by blended learning. Based on this background, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of blanded learning in Plant Development Structure courses. The learning design uses a combination of face to face methods with offline teaching materials using flipbooks, online discussions with Facebook groups and e-assessment using proprofs software. This research method is pre-experiment with the design of the One Group Pretest Posttest. The results of the pretest obtained an average value of 41.84, while the posttest results obtained an average value of 70.97 and the results of the t-test showed that there were significant differences. In the questionnaire results obtained data as many as 43% of students like blanded learning; 57% of students stated the advantage of using online discussion was to get direct experience as a teacher candidate using social media as a learning medium; 57% of students stated that offline teaching materials can balance the right and left brains; and 60% of students said by e-assessment to get the correct feedback directly. The conclusion is blanded learning that combines face to face, online discussions, offline teaching materials, and e-assessment, and effective blanded learning for Plant Development Structure lectures.

Abstract

Periopthalmus sp. merupakan salah satu jenis biota yang menyukai lingkungan yang bersubrat lumpur dan hutan mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis dan kelimpahan Periophalmus sp. di kawasan mangrove pantai Kertomulyo Pati. Pengambilan sampel Periopthalmus sp. dilakukan pada saat pagi hari dimana air laut sedang surut, mengambil ikan secara manual yaitu menggunakan tanggan dan alat pembantu lainya seperti jarring dan serok ikan. Hasil penelitian terdapat jumlah ikan sebanyak 386 individu, terdapat 2 genus dan 4 spesies, kelimpahan Periothalmus sp. yang memiliki kategori tinggi adalah Baleopthalmus pectinirostris 139 individu, sedangkan kategori rendah adalah Periopthalmodon schloresseri 14 individu. Indeks keanekaragaman yang diperoleh sebesar 1, 238 yang berarti bahwa hasil penelitian menunjukan tikat keanekaragaman ikan gelodok di kawasan mangrove pantai Kertomulyo Pati termasuk dalam kriteria sedang. Sedangkan untuk tingkat dominasi ikan gelodok diperoleh sebesar 0,31 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang maka tidak ada spesies yang mendominasi, hal ini menunjukan produktivitas perairan tersebut cukup seimbang antara predator dan mangsa. Hasil pengukuran pH tanah berkisar 6,1- 6,5 dan memiliki tipe bersubstrat lumpur yang merupakan tipe habitat sesuai Periopthalmus sp.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efetivitas perpaduan model PBL dan time token terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan kemandirian siswa pada pembelajaran daring materi virus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode Quasi Experiment Design, sedangkan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non-quivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian  dilaksanakan di SMAN Batangan Pati. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022, pada bulan September 2021. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-MIPA 2 yang berjumlah siswa dan X-MIPA 3 yang berjumlah siswa 60. Hasil penelitian persentase uji N-gain pada kelas eksperimen 37% lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol 21%. Persentase kemandirian siswa mencapai kategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 71%. Didukung dengan hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai 0,005 dengan taraf signifikansi  (0,005 < 0,005) sehingga H1 diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan perpaduan PBL (Problem Based Learning) dan Time Token dinyatakan efektif terhadap hasil belahar dan kemandirian siswa pada materi virus.

Abstract

STEM-based mathematics learning is required to assist learners in developing 21st-century skills, including creativity, critical thinking, communication, and cooperation. However, the application of STEM-based Mathematics and Science learning in Indonesia is relatively new and rarely done due to some obstacles. One alternative is the implementation of lesson study for the learning community. This study determines the positive impacts of STEM on Mathematics and Science learning through lesson study for the learning community based on the findings of a systematic review of current research. The results show that applying the STEM approach through lesson study positively impacts teachers and students. Positive impacts for teachers include improving lesson quality and teaching professional competency as well as improving critical and creative thinking skills, information, media and technology abilities, life and career capability, problem-solving, basic questioning skill, learning achievement, science literacy, concept understanding, and motivation as advantages for students. Nonetheless, further research is necessary to investigate the best method for applying STEM-based learning in Mathematics and Science through lesson study.

Abstract

E-modul merupakan bahan ajar yang dikemas lebih fleskibel sehingga dapat diakses kapanpun dan dimanapun oleh siswa.  Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul memililiki beberapa keunggulan diantaranya meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis serta meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Desa Kayen tentang jenis dan pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat oleh masyarakat Desa Kayen, hasil penelitian dapat diimplementasikan menjadi e-modul pembelajaran pada KD 3.2 kelas X SMA. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah e-modul sebagai implementasi hasil penelitian layak atau tidak dijadikan sebagai e-modul pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskripsi kuantitatif sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil validasi pada 19 kriteria dari 3 sub bab validasi yaitu validasi materi, validasi kebahasaan dan validasi kegrafikan, maka didapatkan skor 69 dan 49. Adapun hasil rata-rata dari akumulasi skor kedua validator adalah 59. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul sebagai implementasi hasil penelitian “layak” dijadikan sebagai e-modul pembelajaran kelas X SMA.

Abstract

The development of the world of education is currently leading to a student-centered learning process. The Merdeka Curriculum was developed as a curriculum framework that is more flexible, while also focusing on essential material and developing the character and competence of students. The Pancasila Student Profile is an effort to be able to lead individuals to a level of understanding, behavior, character based on Pancasila values. The strategy for developing the Pancasila Student Profile is carried out through integration in formal education activities through intracurriculars, one of which is the PBL model. Science learning is learning that has the goal of deepening understanding of a concept. This study aims to analyze the embodiment of the Pancasila Student Profile through Problem Based Learning in Science Learning at SMPN 37 Semarang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with research subjects being students of class VII A SMP Negeri 37 Semarang. The sampling technique in this study is non-probability sampling. Data analysis in this study is a narrative analysis, with the instrument observation sheet. The results showed that the embodiment of the Pancasila Student Profile through Problem Based Learning in Science Learning at SMPN 37 Semarang can be applied well. From all aspects of the Pancasila Student Profile there is a connection with the syntax of the PBL learning model starting from giving apperceptions, discussions, presentations, to conducting evaluations. Then the Problem Based Learning learning model can realize aspects or dimensions of Pancasila Student Profiles for SMPN 37 Semarang students.

Abstract

Semarang State Special Education School was one of the schools under the auspices of the government that provided education for children with special need from Pre-primary School to Senior High School. Blind was one of the persons with disabilities who were educated at Semarang State Special Education School. The introduction of culture in Indonesia was one of the education services taught at the Semarang State Senior High Special Education School. However, the difficulty of taught braille to blind students was a factor in the not being taught Javanese script to blind students. Through the Javanese script braille piano helps Semarang State Senior High Special Education School in introducing Javanese script to blind students. In its implementation was socialization then proceed with training and mentoring activities in provided more understanding and avoiding misconceptions in learned Javanese characters in blind students. The successful implementation of community service programs refers to the indicators of the accuracy of reading and writing Braille Javanese characters for blind students. Through this program, in addition to being able to read and wrote Javanese script, blind students play a role in preserving Javanese script as one of Indonesian culture.

Abstract

Abstract Respiratory system material is one of the materials that is difficult for students to understand. This is evidenced by the assessment of individual assessments which show that most students are under the KKM, namely 76 with classical completeness of 43.75% in the low category. Based on observations and interviews, teachers still apply conventional learning and do not use learning media so that it tends to make students passive and students' thinking processes do not develop optimally which results in cognitive values ​​that are not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the completeness of cognitive values, one of which is Problem Based Learning assisted by video media. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to increase the completeness of students' cognitive values ​​through the Problem Based Learning model assisted by video media on the subject of the human respiratory system. The research was conducted in class VIII G of SMP Negeri 37 Semarang with the implementation of Cycles I, II and III. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The implementation of the action includes 3 cycles adapted to the steps of the Problem Based Learning model, namely 1) orienting students towards problems, 2) organizing students 3) guiding individuals and groups, 4) developing and presenting work, 5) analyzing and assessing processes solution to problem. The results showed that the completeness of the cognitive scores of students in Cycle I was 65.60%, while in Cycle II it was 81.25%, in Cycle III it was 96.88%. Based on the research that has been done, it can be interpreted that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by video media on the material of the human respiratory system can improve the completeness of students' cognitive values.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang masih muncul di era abad 21 adalah peserta didik yang masih rendah akan salah satu keterampilan abad 21 yaitu rendahnya literasi sains. Peserta didik memiliki motivasi dan minat belajar yang rendah, pembelajaran teacher center yang membuat mereka kurang aktif dan masih kurang dalam penguasaan konsep biologi sehingga perlu adanya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas literasi sains peserta didik di MAN 2 Kota Semarang dimensi konten, proses, konteks, serta sikap ilmiah melalui pembelajaran praktikum biologi berbasis scientific Approach. Metode penelitian: kuantitatif pre-experimental one shot case study. Teknik pengumpulan data: observasi langsung, instrument penilaian ranah afektif, presentasi dan hasil produk peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai literasi sains (4 dimensi) yang didapatkan peserta didik sebesar 82,75% kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran praktikum biologi berbasis saintific approach dapat mendorong literasi sains peserta didik di MAN 2 Kota Semarang.
