Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop learning media using website, and determinate the feasibility of learning media in the form website. This research is an R & D research that adopts the development of Borg &Gall that has been modified by Sugiono. Subjects in this research are students class IX SMPN 2 Pontianak. The type of data generated is qualitative data which is analyzed by guidance criteria of rating category to determine product quality using Likert scale. The results of this research are; 1) Produce website as a learning media; the product quality that has been developed is "very feasible" with percentage based on expert material appraisal, 75% by media expert equal to 97% and educator of junior high school with percentage equal to 90%; 2) developed learning media used for conceptual change in students using the McNemar test. Obtained a price of  is 16, thus it can be concluded that there?s change misconception.  Keywords: Research and Development, Learning Media, Website

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan jumlah siswa yang miskonsespi setelah remediasi menggunakan metode demonstrasi disertai booklet dalam materi pembiasan cahaya pada lensa di SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XD sebagai kelas kontrol dan IXC sebagi kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 74 siswa. Pada kelas eksperimen penurunan persentase jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsi rata-rata sebesar 58,86% dan kelas kontol rata-rata sebesar 32,67%. Hasil uji McNemar menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsi tiap konsep secara signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dan pada kelas kontrol perubahan jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsi secara signifikan terjadi konsep proses pembiasan cahaya dan sifat lensa cembung. Berdasarkan hasil U Mann-Whitney dengan taraf signifikan α = 5% Zhitung<-Ztabel (-3,027 < -1,96) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara jumlah miskonsepsi siswa mengikuti remediasi menggunakan metode demonstrasi disertai booklet dengan siswa yang mengikuti remediasi menggunakan metode konvensional. Sehingga pembelajaran menggunakan metode demonstrasi disertai booklet dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif bagi guru untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa pada pelajaran fisika. Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi, Remediasi, Demonstrasi, Booklet Abstract: The purpose of this research was to know the decreasing students number of miscoception after remediation using the demonstration method accompanied by booklet about refraction of light on the lens  in SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. The form of this research was a quasy experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this research are IXD as control class and the IXC as experiment class totaled 74. In experiment class  average decreasing the percentage students number of miscoception is 58,86% and control class average is 32,67%. Mc Nemar test results show that changes in the number of students who misconceptions each concept significantly in the experimental class and the control class changes in the number of students significantly misconception occurs in 2 concepts. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U with significance level α = 5% Zhitung <-Ztabel (-3.027 <-1.96) indicates that there is a difference between the number of misconceptions students follow a remediation method booklet demonstration accompanied by students who take remediation using conventional methods. So that the learning method demonstration accompanied by a booklet can be used as an alternative for teachers to improve student misconceptions in physics lessons. Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementation Reciprocal Teaching Model by Physics Simulation Media on reduced misconception of students about Force in SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak. The method of this research is pre-experimental by one-group pre-test post-test design. As the sample of this research, there are 27 students in X Teknik Permesinan class which are chosen by random sampling in technic of intact group. The tool for collecting data is 10 questions the form of multiple choice with the reasoning open. The mean percentage of declining misconception of students about Force after remediation class is 63%. Based on McNemar test, the change student conceptions obtained then there is a significant change in the students conceptions after remediation class. The Hatie?s effect size value is 3,24 and the Cohen?s effect size value is 6,63 which are categorized as high., then Reciprocal Teaching Model effective in the assited Physics Simulation Media in reducing students misconceptions. Keywords: Force, Misconception, Physicsc simulation, Reciprocal teaching model

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini diarahkan untuk merancang wawancara klinis dalam bahasa Ibu yang digunakan sebagai kegiatan remediasi miskonsepsi siswa SD khususnya tentang rangkaian listrik sederhana. Sembilan orang siswa yang menggunakan bahasa Tionghua “Khek” dengan tingkat pengetahuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Masing-masing tingkat pengetahuan terdiri dari tiga orang yang ditentukan dengan cara sampling purposive. Prosedur pengumpulan data menggunakan soal pilihan ganda dengan tiga alternatif jawaban dan pedoman wawancara klinis. Perubahan miskonsepsi siswa dianalisis menurut tingkat pengetahuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah serta pengaruh penggunaan bahasa ibu dalam wawancara dan posttest. Penggunaan bahasa Ibu pada posttest lebih baik hasilnya terhadap perubahan miskonsepsi siswa. Wawancara klinis dalam bahasa Ibu yang dirancang ternyata dapat digunakan untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa SD Abdi Agape pada materi rangkaian listrik sederhana. Diharapkan kegiatan wawancara klinis dalam bahasa Ibu dapat menjadi metode alternatif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa. Kata kunci: Wawancara klinis, remediasi miskonsepsi, rangkaian listrik sederhana Abstract: This research aims to design a clinical interview in mother tonque that can be used for decreasing elementary school students’ misconceptions especially about simple electrical circuit. Participants were 9 grade-6 students who speak Thionghua “Khek” as their mother tongue. They are respectively divided into three levels of knowledge such as high, medium, and low. Each of the level of knowledge consists of three students that have been chosen by purposive random sampling. Students’ conceptual understanding and misconceptions were prompted by a set of diagnostic test with three alternative answers and followed a clinical interview about simple electrical circuit to remediate their misconceptions. There is no significant difference of conceptual change between student with high, medium, and low level of knowledge. Usage of a mother tongue in the posttest is better than in Bahasa for the students’ conceptual change. This design of clinical interview in mother tongue can be used to foster conceptual understanding and to decrease most of the students’ misconceptions in simple electrical circuit. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penggunaan alat peraga papan optik pada pembelajaran cermin lengkung di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Nanga Tayap. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 31 siswa kelas VIIIB. Hasil analisis data tes awal dan tes akhir menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa meningkat tiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I meningkat sebesar 35,55 dengan ketuntasan sebesar 69,19 % sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 45,55 dengan ketuntasan sebesar 76,67 %. Hal ini disebabkan alat peraga papan optik dapat mempermudah dan membantu siswa untuk memahami isi materi yang disampaikan sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif  kegiatan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sehingga dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci: Papan optik, cermin, hasil belajar Abstract: The aims of the research are to improve the student learning outcomes through the use of props boards curved mirror optics on learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Nanga Tayap. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) done as much as two cycles. The subjects were 31 students of class VIIIB. The average value and the completeness of student learning outcomes increased each cycle are showed by the result of the data analysis of the initial test and final test. In the first cycle increased by 35.55 with the thoroughness of 69.19% while in the second cycle increased by 45.55 with the thoroughness of 76.67%. This is due props optical board can facilitate and help the students to understand the material presented in order to improve student learning outcomes. Thus, this research can be used as an alternative activity to improve student learning outcomes in order to overcome the difficulties of student learning. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the implementation of media physics learning using livewire against the learning outcomes of students of class X SMA 6 Pontianak about the power dynamic. A form of research in the form of a quasi-experimental design with design nonequivalent control group design. Determination of sample using a purposive sampling technique so that the obtained class X IPA 3 as the experimental class numbered 33 people and class X IPA 4 as the control class numbered 33 people. The research results obtained, namely: (1) Acquisition of the average score of pre-test and post-test in the experimental class 40,00 and 75,76 whereas in the control class 39,09 and 53,64; (2) there are differences in learning outcomes between learners before and after the used learning media livewire, based on the data analysis test U-Mann Whitney obtained value of sig (2-tailed) of 0,000 < 0,05; (3) the value of effect size 1.6 is included in the high category; (4) student responses 80.57% with the score interpretation criteria classified as good. The results of this study are expected to be an alternative in an effort to improve the learning outcomes of students on the material power dynamic. Keywords: Learning media, livewire, the learning outcomes, the power dynamic.

Abstract

Abstract          This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of conceptual change text assisted teaching aids in remediating students' misconceptions about dynamic fluid in Nanga Mahap 1 State High School. This study was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample is 30 students of class XI MIPA 2 totaling 30 students selected by intact group. The data collection instrument uses multiple choice diagnostic tests without reason. Based on the results of data analysis obtained the findings, as follows: (1) There is a significant conceptual change (itung_count ^ 2 = 38,025; df = 1; α = 0,05) after being given remediation learning; (2) The level of remediation effectiveness is classified as moderate (DQM = 45.5%); (3) There is no significant conceptual change (itung_count ^ 2 = 0.26; df = 1; α = 0.05) after a certain period of time since remediation learning is given. Based on these results, it is expected that conceptual change text assisted by teaching aids can be used as an alternative to correct misconceptions.Keywords: Remediation, misconception, conceptual change text, props, dynamic fluid

Abstract

AbstractThe use of visual aids as the media in learning is choosed because of  its efficiency and multitasking potential that can be used for the learning activities. The purpose of this research is to identify and develop the visual aid in order to improve the students? learning outcomes, about the energy of electricity in Science subject of 11 Danau Kadung Suli Elementary School . This development research uses Borg & Gall Research and Development approach (1983:772). The subjects in this research are the 14 fourth grader students of 11 Danau Kandung Suli in the school year of 2018/ 2019, Jongkong District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. As for the data gathering in this research are: (1) Interview; (2) Observation; (3) Documentary Study; (4) Test; and (5) Validation. The data analysis in this research consists of qualitative analysis and T-Test. The result of this research shows that the Danau Kandang Suli (DKS) Solar Ship visual aid that has been developed is effective  to improve students? learning outcomes. To get that result, the datas were being analyzed to know, how big its effect to improve students? learning outcomes. The result of pretest and posttest  shows that the effect of the visual aid has the signification of= 0,00 < ? 0,05, which means there is difference of students? learning outcomes before and after learning process using visual aid that has been developed. The impact in using visual aid is categorized as high that is ES > 0,8 , and the gained ES score of the used visual aid  was 1,47.Keyword: Development, Eenergy of electicity, Visual aid.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims is to establish the remediation of student?s misconceptions by using LKPD concept cartoons on Archimedes principle at SMP Kristen Immanuel II Sungai Raya. The form of this research is the pre-experimental design which is consisted of one-group of pre-test-post-test design. The sample of this research is students of class VIII D (n = 41 student) which are chosen by random sampling technique of an intact group. This research instrument is a diagnostic test which consists of 9 questions with multiple choices. Based on data analysis, the findings are : (1) The percentage reduction of students who misconceptions, after remediation are 81%, 68%, 64%, and the average is 71%. (2) There is a significant conceptual change whit Mc Nemar statistic test (?_hitung^2 = 44.17; dk = 1 ; ? =0,05) after remediation. The effect size is 1.86 (high category. Based on these results. Abstract

Abstract This research has purpose to describe student’s error based on Watson’s Classification in solving temperature and heat problems. Watson’s Classification has eight category of errors are inappropriate data (id), inappropriate procedure (ip), omitted data (od), omitted conclution (oc), response level conflict (rlc), undered manipulation, (um) skill hierarchy problem (shp) and beside those seven errors (ao). This research is done to 53 students of  Grade X in SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak.  Collector instrument of data is 10 essay problems about temperature and heat problems. In this research using Watson’s Classification because this classification has compelete category of error. With this classification we can see error of students in solving problems. Percentage of error is done by 53 students is 22,6% id, 10,1% ip, 0,35% od, 15,6% oc, 9,7% rlc, 0% um, 3,1% shp and 38,5% ao. Beside that, in this research there is percenatge of 27,92 % sudents answer questions correctly, 37,73 % student answer questions incorrectly and 34,34 % students don’t answer questions.Keywords: Description, student’s error in solving temperature and heat problems,      Watson’s classification
