Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of remediation activity through Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model on misconception among grade XII student’s at SMAN 5 Pontianak. One group pretest-posttest experimental design was used in this study. The population is all students of class XII SMAN 5 Pontianak. The sample was taken by intact group so that it was obtained class XII IPA 3 which have 32 students. The instrument used a diagnostic test which amounted to 9 multiple-choice questions with open reasons. The percentage of decreasing number of students who had misconceptions after being given a misconception remediation with the POGIL model on static fluid was 44%. McNemar test was carried out with a significance level of 5% indicating that there was a significant change in student’s conception after being given remediation activities using the POGIL model. This model is effective in remediating student’s' misconceptions on static fluid with the effect size of 0.428 in the high category according to the Hattie barometer. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan contextual teaching and learning pada materi gerak lurus di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 1 kali pertemuan. Alat pengumpul data meliputi tes hasil belajar danlembar observasi pembelajaran .Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 52,42 dengan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 22,58%, sedangkan pada siklus kedua nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 62,74 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 64,51%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan contextual teaching and learningdapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pada materi gerak lurus di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang Kata kunci: Pendekatan contextual teaching and learning, hasil belajar, Gerak lurus Abstract: This classroom action research is aimed to improve students achievement through the implementations of contextual teaching and learning approach on material in the straight motion the class VII students of junior high school 1 Ketapang. This research consists of two cycles, each of cycles consist once meetings. Learning observations sheet and the result of students test are the tool of data collection. The result of research shows the improvement of students achievement. On the first cycle, the students average score is 52,42 with the percentage of achievement is 22,58%, meanwhile on the second cycle, the average score is 62,74 with the percentage of success is 64,51 It can be concluded that the learning through contextual teaching and learningapproach can increase the students achievement on material in the straight motion of the class VII students of junior high school 1 Ketapang. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the effectiveness of misconception remediation of the seventh grade students of Pontiank state middle school by using Problem Based Learning model for decrease the number of students misconception on the heat transfer lesson material. One group pretest-posttest was used as the design model in this research. The intact group technique was used as the technique of sampling. The sample were class VII D with 36 students. The data gained in the form of pretest and posttest would be analyzed in percentage calculate of reduction in the number of student misconception. Based on the data analysis, the average percentage of reduction misconception was 39.45%. The results of Mc Nemar significance test on dk = 1 and α= 5% showed > , were equal to 22,88 > 3,84. There was a conceptual change on the students significantly. The Decreasing Quantity Students that Misconception (DQM) Problem Based Learning model in remediating misconception were 39,44% (high category). The results of this research were expected to be used as the development material of PBL in remediation learning about the heat transfer material. Keywords: Heat Transfer, Misconception, Problem Based Learning, Remediation

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kerja laboratorium melalui PhET pada perubahan jumlah miskonsepsi siswa tentang hukum Archimedes siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai  Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-experimental dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest yang melibatkan 31 siswa sebagai sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik intact group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kerja laboratorium melalui PhETberpengaruh signifikanterhadap jumlah miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hokum Archimedes, dengan  %. Selanjutnya, diperoleh rata-rata persentase profil miskonsepsi siswa  pada pre-test dan post-test masing-masing sebesar 66% dan 12%, dengan persentase penurunan jumlah miskonsepsi setiap konsep dan setiap siswa masing-masing sebesar 80% dan 83%. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi siswa agar dapat mengatasi miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa. Kata kunci: Kerja Laboratorium, PhET, Remediasi, Hukum Archimedes Abstract: The purpose of this research wasto investigate  the influence of remediation activity through few Lab work with PhET on students misconceptions about Archimedes’s Law . The research method used wasPre-Experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design that involved 31 students as sample selected by intact group. The results shows that remediationLab work with PhET have a significant effecton reduction the number of students’ misconceptionabout Archimedes’s law,with ;  5%. Furthermore,the average percentage of students’ misconception profile in pre-test and post-testrespectively by 66% and 12%,withpercentage of reduction in the misconception for all concept and all studentsrespectively by 80% and 83%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Selimbau pada materi fluida statis dengan menggunakan pembelajaran predict, observe, dan explain (POE) dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-exsperimental design dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan melibatkan 20 orang siswa kelas XI IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan penurunan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 44,5% siswa. Remediasi miskonsepsi siswa menggunakan pembelajaran predict, observe, dan explain (POE) efektif untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 0,57 (kategori sedang). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternative untuk meminimalkan miskonsepsi siswa dalam memahami fluida statis. The method used is pre-exsperimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample used in this study using saturated sampling technique, involving 20 students of class XI IPA. The results showed a decrease in the average percentage of 44,5% student misconceptions students. Remediation of misconceptions students use learning Predict, Observe, and explain (POE) was effective reducing misconceptions students by 0.57 (medium category). Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan matematika dan kesalahan siswa menyelesaikan soal fisika. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya sebanyak 32 siswa. Untuk mengukur keterampilan matematika dan kesalahan siswa menyelesaikan soal fisika digunakan data hasil penelitian dari tes soal materi kinematika gerak lurus. Persentase keterampilan matematika siswa sebesar 78,125% dan persentase kesalahan siswa menyelesaikan soal fisika sebesar 90,6%. Untuk mengetahui hubungan keduanya digunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil diperoleh yaitu terdapat hubungan negatif dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,87. Hubungan keduanya juga signifikan yaitu t hitung > t tabel = 10,02 > 2,042 dengan taraf signifikan 5% dan dk = 30, dapat disimpulkan semakin rendah keterampilan matematika maka semakin tinggi kesalahan siswa menyelesaikan soal fisika, begitu sebaliknya. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan pendidik memperhatikan keterampilan matematika siswa sehingga meningkatkan kegiatan belajar mengajar pada pelajaran fisika. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Matematika, Kesalahan Menyelesaikan Soal Fisika, Korelasi Product Moment Abstract: This research aims to know the relevance between mathematic skills and students’ error in doing physics test on kinematics of linear motion. Samples were 32 students in grade XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. To measure math skills and students’ error in doing physics using test data from the study on the kinematics of linear motion. Percentage of mathematic skills about of 78,125% and percentage of students error in physics test about of 90,6%. To know the relevance between both of them used product moment correlation. The result obtained by the negative correlation with a correlation coefficient of -0,87. Relations were also significant t hitung > t tabel = 10,02 > 2,042 with level significant 5% and dk = 30, therefore we can conclude if mathematic skills are low so students’ error in doing physics test are high and otherwise. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini berjudul penerapan model Group Investigation berbantuan flashcard, bertujuan untuk meremediasi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XII IPA pada materi dinamika rotasi. Masalahnya adalah bagaimanakah efektivitas penerapan model Group Investigation berbantuan flashcard untuk meremediasi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XII IPA pada materi dinamika rotasi. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre- experimental design dengan  rancangan one group pretest posttest design . populasi yang digunakan adalah kelas XII IPA dengan jumlah siswa 35 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu sampling jenuh dengan jumlah sampel 28 siswa diambil dari siswa yang mengikuti proses remediasi dari awal hingga akhir. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu melalui tes diagnostik yang disusun secara parale. Tes diagnostik tersebut berupa pilihan ganda dengan tiga alternatif jawaban disertai alasan. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh data yang menunjukkan siswa mengalami penurunan kesulitan belajar sebesar 0,54,dan menurut aturan ruas jari hasil penurunan kesulitan belajar siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak setelah remediasi dengan model group investigation berbtantuan flashcard pada materi dinamika gerak rotasi tingkat efektivitasnya tergolong pada kategori  sedang.   Kata Kunci : Group investigation, kesulitan belajar, flashcard   Abstract: This study, entitled the application of the Group Investigation model aided flashcard to remediate learning difficulties of students in the class XII material rotational dynamics. The problem is how the effectiveness of the Group Investigation model aided flashcard to remediate learning difficulties of students in the class XII material rotational dynamics. Study is a form of pre-experimental design with the design of one group pretest posttest design. population used is the number of class XII Science students 35 people. Sampling technique that saturated sampling with a sample of 28 students drawn from students who take remediation process from beginning to end. Techniques of data collection is through a diagnostic test arranged parale. A diagnostic test is a multiple choice with three alternative answers with reasons. From the research, the data obtained showed decreased student learning difficulties of 0.54, and according to the rules knuckles loss results of student learning difficulties SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak after remediation with the model group investigation berbtantuan flashcard dynamics of rotational motion on the material level of efectiveness belonging to the category being.                                                                                               Keywords: Group investigation, learning difficulties, flashcard

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to explore the misconceptions and causes of elementary students' misconceptions about light and its nature in everyday life. The Interview About Instances (IAI) technique in Sanggau Malay language was used to explore the misconceptions of 9 grade VI elementary school students. Data were analyzed qualitatively by comparing students' conceptions and conceptions of scientists and then found their causes through interviews. The results showed students had misconceptions on the concept of straight-propagating light (2 misconceptions), light could penetrate clear objects (1 misconception), reflected light (18 misconceptions), light refraction (4 misconceptions), light dispersion (7 misconceptions), and relationships between light and sight (4 misconceptions). The causes of students' misconceptions are students' errors in constructing knowledge, students are wrong in associating terms, wrong reasoning, students' answers seem to guess, students are intuitive, students fabricate answers, construction of wrong experiences, wrong preconceptions, students think humanistically. Students tend to express their conceptions based on concrete things and are limited to their own thoughts. Keywords:       Misconceptions, causes of misconceptions, interviews, mother tongue.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif penerapanpembelajaran melalui Graphic Organizer untuk menurunkan jumlah miskonsepsisiswa dalam mempelajari gerak lurus. Bentuk penelitian berupa One GroupPretest-Posttest Design. Siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini adalahsiswa kelas XI IPA1 yang berjumlah 25 orang. Tes yang digunakan disusundengan metode CRI (Certainty of Response Index) berbentuk pilihan gandaberjumlah 9 soal dengan tiga soal untuk masing-masing konsep. Reliabilitas tesini dihitung dengan rumus KR-20 tergolong kuat (0,613). Penelitian ini dilakukanselama 4 kali pertemuan .Dari hasil Uji McNemar diketahui efektivitas remediasimelalui Graphic Organizer pada materi gerak lurus tergolong sedang (0,680).Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif guru untukmeremediasi miskonsep sisiswa.Kata Kunci : Graphic Organizer, miskonsepsi siswa, remediasi.Abstract : This research is to know how effective the implementation of teachinglearning process through Graphic Organizer to decrease the amount of sudentsmisconception in learning stright motion. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil belajar siswa padamateri gerak lurus beraturan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Taman Mulia Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Jenis penelitianadalah Quasi Experimental Designdengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Grup Design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswakelas XA sebagai kelas ekperimen dan siswa XB sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah sampel 64 siswa dipilih secara acak melalui teknik random sampling. Alat pengumpul data berupa soal uraian berjumlah 10 soal. Hasil Uji-t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap hasil belajar dari hasil N-Gain dengan thitung < ttabel . Nilai Effect Size yang diperoleh sebesar 0,82 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa  siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci : Hasil belajar, Model pembelajaran Kooperatif, Materi  gerak lurus beraturanAbstract: The objective of this research is to determine the influence of student learning outcomes on straight irregular motion material through cooperative learning model. The research was conducted at SMA Taman Mulia Kabupaten Kubu Raya. The type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with  Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample of the research were XA class students as experimental class and XB students as control class with the sample number of 64 students selected through random sampling technique. Data collection tool in the form of a description of 10 questions. The result of t-test shows that there is influence of cooperative learning model to learning result from N-Gain result with tcount<ttabel. Effect Size value obtained by 0.82 with high category.
