Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini berjudul efektivitas remediasi miskonsepsi siswa menggunakan strategi konflik kognitif pada materi hukum archimedes di Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui remediasi miskonsepsi menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konflik kognitif efektif menurunkan persentase miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hukum Archimedes di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen, dengan bentuk Pre-Experimental Design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa sebelum remediasi sebesar 80,72%, dan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa setelah remediasi sebesar 30,06%. Hal ini berarti terjadi penurunan miskonsepsi sebesar 50,65%. Tingkat efektivitas penerapan strategi konflik kognitif dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hukum Archimedes di kelas IX F SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak adalah 0,63 (tergolong sedang). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi konflik kognitif cukup efektif dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hukum Archimedes di kelas IX SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak.Kata kunci: Hukum Archimedes, Strategi Konflik Kognitif, Remediasi Miskonsepsi Siswa Abstract: This study entitled The Effectiveness of Students’ Misconception Remediation by Using Cognitive Conflict Strategy on Archimede’s Principle Material On Junior High School Level. The purpose of this study was to know whether the remediation of misconception by using cognitive conflict learning  strategy effectively reduced the percentage of students’ misconception on Archimedes’s principle material on eight grade students of SMP Negeri  5 Pontianak. The method used in this research was experimental methode, with Pre-Experimental Design with One Group Pretest-Postest design. Research finding showed that the mean of students’ misconception percentage before remediation was 80,72%, and mean of students’ misconception percentage after remediation was 30,06%. It meant that there is a decreasing of misconception by 50,65%. The level of effectiveness of cognitive conflict strategy implementation in remediating students’ misconception on Archimedes principle material on class VIII F of SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak was 0,63 (moderate). It proved that cognitive conflict strategy was quite effective in remediating students’s misconception on Archimedes’s  principle material on eight grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak.Keywords: Archimedes’s Principle, Cognitive conflict Strategies, Students’ Misconception Remediation

Abstract

Abstract: Secondary analysis methode was used to analyze the student worksheets used by physic education students of Tanjungpura University in their thesis titled about remediation students’ misconception in period 2010-2012. It was analyzed whether it fullfilled the structure criterias, dicdactic, construction, technical requirements or not, and was the purpose of study suitable already. 20 student worksheets from seven thesises were used as sample. For structure criterias, the highest number  fulfilled was nine criterias, did by two student worksheets. Three dicdactic requirements were fulfilled by 19 student worksheets. The highest number of construction requirements fulfilled was eight requirements, did by four student worksheets.  Six technical requirements were fulfilled by nine student worksheets. Three student worksheets have unsuitable purpose of study. While arranging student worksheets to remediate students’ misconceptions , it contains student cognitive conflict. Researchers have to know the right criterias to arrange the student worksheets for research instrument. Keywords: Secondary Analysis, Student Worksheet, Remediation Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis apakah lembar kerja siswa pada skripsi mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP UNTAN tentang remediasi miskonsepsi pada pada periode 2010–2012 telah memenuhi karakteristik standar yang berlaku. Khususnya mengetahui banyak karakteristik LKS yang terpenuhi dari segi struktur, syarat didaktik, konstruktis dan teknis, serta kesesuaian tujuan pembelajaran dalam LKS. 20 LKS dari tujuh skripsi digunakan sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode secondary analysis tipe supplementary analysis dengan langkah penelusuran literatur. Dari 13 kriteria struktur LKS, sembilan kriteria dipenuhi dua LKS. Dari tiga kriteria syarat didaktik, semua kriteria dipenuhi oleh 19 LKS. Dari sembilan syarat konstruksi,  delapan kriteria dipenuhi oleh empat LKS, dan dari enam syarat teknis, semua kriteria dipenuhi oleh sembilan LKS. Ditemukan tiga LKS mencantumkan tujuan pembelajaran yang tidak sesuai. Dalam LKS untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa diperlukan konflik kognitif. Peneliti berikutnya perlu mengetahui kriteria LKS yang benar, apabila akan menggunakan instrumen penelitian berbentuk LKS. Kata Kunci: Secondary Analysis, Lembar Kerja Siswa, Remediasi

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penyediaan bacaan berbentuk refutation text untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana di kelas V SD Negeri 10 Selintah Kabupaten Sekadau. Dengan rancangan percobaan yaitu Pre-Experimental Design dengan bentuk One-Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Sebanyak 13 siswa kelas V yang berpartisipasi pada penelitian ini. Tes diagnostik bentuk pilihan ganda disertai alasan, digunakan untuk mengetahui rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa. Dari hasil analisis data, rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa pada pretest sebesar 85,38% dan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa pada posttest sebesar 69,23%. Hal ini berarti terjadi perubahan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 17,75%. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan menggunakan uji McNemar pada setiap indikator, jumlah keseluruhan tidak terjadi perubahan konsepsi siswa yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah remediasi. Nilai efektifitas dengan bahan bacaan berbentuk refutation text untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana di kelas V SD Negeri 10 Selintah Kabupaten Sekadau adalah 0,25 tergolong rendah. With the experimental design Pre-Experimental Design with form-Group One Pre-Test Post-Test Design. A total of 13 fifth grade students who participated in this study. Diagnostic test multiple choice with reasons, is used to determine the average percentage of student misconceptions. of the results of the data analysis, the average percentage of students on the pretest misconception by 85.38% and the average percentage of students on the posttest misconception of 69.23%. This means a change in the average percentage of 17.75% student misconceptions. After calculation using the McNemar test on each indicator, the number of overall did not change significantly between students' conceptions before and after remediation. Effectiveness with literature values ??shaped Refutation text to remediate student misconceptions in a simple aircraft materials in class V Elementary School District 10 Selintah Sekadau is relatively low 0,25. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa tentang materi suhu dan kalor di kelas XI IPA MAN 1 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental Design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel ditentukan melalui teknik intact group terdiri dari 33 siswa kelas XI IPA 1. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan penurunan persentase rata-rata siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 23,45%. Melalui uji McNemar, terjadi perubahan konseptual pada siswa dengan uji signifikansi diperoleh  untuk nilai db=1. Model PBL efektif untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor dengan harga effect size 0,45 (berkategori sedang). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan alternatif bagi guru dalam melaksanakan remediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor.   Kata Kunci: Remediasi, Miskonsepsi, Model PBL, Suhu dan Kalor Abstract: The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in remediating the student’s misconceptions about temperature and heat at XI IPA class of MAN 1 Pontianak. This research used Pre-Experimental Design method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling was determined by intact group and were distributed to  33 students of XI IPA 1. The result of data analysis showed the reduction of student’s average precentage of 23,45% in having the misconceptions. McNemar test resulted that the students had a conceptual changing, hence by using significance test the researcher obtained  for db=1. PBL model effectively solved the student’s misconceptions of temperature and heat materials in the effect size ammount of 0,45 (medium level). The result of this research hopefully can be an alternative for teacher to remediate student’s misconception about temperature and heat materials. Abstract

                         AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of skill process of science laboratory based approach towards the student’s learning outcomes in Usaha (Work) material in SMP Negeri 11 Pontianak.this research was conducted through a pre-experimental design with one pretest and posttest group. The sample of this study was the students of class VIII F (N = 34) who were selected with intac group technique. In collecting the data, the researcher used measurement and observation technique. The instrument for collecting data were measurement test and observation checklist. The analysis shows that the average score of students is increased into 79,91 with the percentage of completeness is 85,3% after applying the skill process of science laboratory based approach. The data analysis was obtained by simple linear regression test that shows tcount 5,987 > ttable 2,037. Based on calculation, it shows that the effect size of this study was 2.9 which is classified as high criteria. This research is expected to be carried out to improve students learning outcomes. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine influence of physics educational technology (PhET) simulation media toward student learning achievement about electrical circuits in class IX SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak. The purposive samplinf technique for this study class IX A and IX C SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak. The Quasy Experimental method with nonequivalent controlgroup design was conducted on this study. Instrumen for measuring achievement about electrical circuit was peper pencil test this with 15 item essay the realiability index of this test was 0.895 and this realiability very high. Based on posttest data analysis using the t test, the value of Asyim was obtained. Sig (2-tailed) of 0.027. Those value indicate that student achievement about electrical circuit differences in learning outcomes between students who use PhET Simulation media and students who do not use PhET Simulation media. Learning using media Physics Educational Tenology Simulation (PhET) about electrical circuits in SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak has an effect of 37.08% on the improvement of student learning outcomes.Keywords: Electrical Circuits, Learning Outcomes, Physic Educational Tecnology (PhET)

Abstract

Abstractthis research aimed to remediated of student’s misconceptions used LKPD based crossword puzzles on liquid pressure in Junior High School 6 Pontianak. This research used experiment method with pre-experimental design form used one group pretest-posttest design. This research used intact group technique which the outcome is class of VIII C with 32 students. The instrument of this research is a diagnostic test consist of 9 multiple choice questions. Based on the data analysis, the mean percentage of student's misconception decreasing is 44,26%. Mc Nemar statistic test result with dk = 1 and α = 5%showed > , this result showed that there is a significant change of the students' conception. The effect size of LKPD based crossword puzzle in the remediation of misconception is 1,49 (high category). Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the implementation of the problem based learning model which could improve student’s learning outcomes on elasticity less onto class XI at SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak. The design of this study is a quasi-experimental (quasy experimental design) with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population used in this study was all of the students of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak which consisted of four classes. The samples taken consisted of two classes. The sampling technique in this study was an intact group consisted of experimental group and control group with the total students of 34 students. The data collection tool in this study was the pre-test and post-test which consisted of 7questions. The results of the study using the two-sample t-test assuming unequal variances obtained p value of 1.40409 x 10-12 from the significance level of 0.05 (5%), which indicated that there were differences of improvement in student’s learning outcomes between students who used problem based learning model with students who used learning model that is often carried out by one of the physics teacher at the SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak.Keywords: Problem based learning model, Learning outcomes, Elasticity

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran gerak melingkar beraturan berbantuan alat peraga Portable Board terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Jelimpo. Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 27 siswa kelas XA sebagai kelas kontrol dan 27 siswa kelas XC sebagai kelas eksperimen. Data diperoleh menggunakan soal tes kognitif berbentuk esai dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik t-test pooled varians didahului analisis uji prasyarat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran gerak melingkar beraturan berbantuan alat peraga Portable Board berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Jelimpo dengan thitung = 2,7996 (taraf signifikansi 5%) dan harga effect size sebesar 0,33 (kategori sedang).   Kata kunci: alat peraga, gerak melingkar beraturan, Portable Board Abstract: The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of applying Portable Board aids in uniform circular motion at Senior High School −Jelimpo. The research method used was quasi experimental and the research design was pretest-posttest control group. The sample involved 27 students of XA (control group) and 27 students of XC (experimental group). The data was aquired by administering cognitive test and analyzed by t-test pooled varians. The result shows that Portable Board aids have a significant and positive effect on students’ learning result (tcalculate = 2,7996 ;significance 5%) and medium effect size score (0,33).   Keywords: aids, uniform circular motion, Portable Board

Abstract

 Abstract The purpose of conducting this research is to know the effectiveness of the two stay two stray learning model (TSTS) as media in remediating the misconception of students of Bawari Islamic Junior High School in Pontianak on pressure material. The form of this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was VIII A. This class consisted of 32 students. The sample was designated by using purposive sampling technique. The data collection was diagnostic test through pre-test and post-test. The mean of percentage in the pre-test was 82.3% and the post-test was 15.6%. The mean  of student misconception decrease was 81.1%. Based on the DQM test, the effectiveness of remediation was 81.1% (High level). The result of the Mc Nemar test was obtained 54.6 of is higher than 3.84 of . There was a significant result after remedial misconceptions by  using TSTS on the pressure material.The teachers are  expected to use TSTS as an alternative media to remediate student’s  misconceptions on pressure material.
