Abstract

Currently, many people are pursuing small home industries to improve their welfare and support the resilience of the national economy. One of the home industries that manages wood to make rattan chair crafts is owned by Mr. M. Shodiq in the Kedungkandang sub-district, Kedungkandang sub-district, Malang City. However, several obstacles are still faced by these small industries, including obstacles in increasing the quality and quantity of rattan chair handicraft production due to several factors such as: lack of knowledge about how to process good and varied rattan chair crafts from both the shape and motif aspects, the use of tools which has not been touched by science and technology. The method of community service is socialization about innovation in the development of rattan chair product quality, namely by providing training materials on the use of innovative tools to develop and improve the rattan chair craft industry. The results of this community service include 1) partners have received education and skills in diversifying rattan chair craft products, 2) partners have received appropriate technology-based tools in the form of rattan cutting machines to increase product sales.

Abstract

Steady and stable roads are needed to distribute goods and services smoothly. It is necessary to check the performance of the road network on a regular basis for planning effective and efficient road improvements. The level of road flatness (International Roughness Index, IRI) is one of the service factors/functional performance of a pavement that greatly influences the driver's comfort (riding quality). One of the smartphone applications to get road IRI scores is Roadbump Pro. The results of the assessment of the Kayuagung-Pedamaran Timur (Jalan Sebuku) road using IRI based on the Roadbump Pro application, mostly include unstable roads, and road improvement efforts that must be carried out are road improvements. Meanwhile, based on the type of vehicle used, the measurement of the IRI value based on the RoadBump Pro application is smaller if using an SUV vehicle than using a pickup vehicle. Abstract

Corn is one of the important food crops in Indonesia and has a strategic role in the national economy, given its multipurpose function, as a source of food, feed, and industrial raw materials. The need for corn is increasing along with the increasing population growth and the development of the feed and food industry. Efforts to improve the quality and quantity of corn productivity can be done by carrying out genetic improvements. Mutation induction using colchicine is expected to improve plant properties, both qualitatively and quantitatively, especially in increasing plant productivity.Colchicine is capable of inducing plants to become polyploid plants at the right concentration and time. Plants treated with colchicine showed changes in characters such as seed color, plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, stomata width, and flowering time. This study aims to determine the effect of various concentrations of colchicine on yield and changes in stomata characteristics of sweet corn (Zea mays L. saccharata) Paragon variety. Yield and quality of corn plants D4 treatment (600 ppm) is the best treatment for yield parameters and quality of corn plants, on the characteristics of the stomata of corn plant leaves the D4 treatment (600 ppm) is a good treatment for the parameters of length, width, and area of ​​stomata sweet corn plant leave.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of pre-planting application of calcium chloride (cacl2) and post-harvest storage temperature on the shelf-life and quality of fresh microgreen wheatgrass (Triticum aestivum l.). This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two factors. Factor 1 is CaCl2 concentration watering application, consisting of 5 levels, namely 0% concentration (C0), 1.5% concentration (C1), 3% concentration (C2), 4.5% concentration (C3), and 6% concentration (C4). Factor 2 is storage temperature, consisting of two levels, namely room temperature (S0) and low temperature (S1). The results of the observations concluded that there was an effect of storage temperature treatment on weight loss and chlorophyll content in microgreen wheatgrass. Wheatgrass stored at low temperature has a lower weight loss value than stored at room temperature. Wheatgrass stored at low temperatures has a higher chlorophyll content than stored at room temperature. Keywords: Microgreen, Wheatgrass, Calcium Chloride, Storage Temperature

Abstract

Heavy metal waste (Cu) is a current environmental problem. The phytoremediation method utilizes plants with a high capacity for metal accumulation to reduce concentrations of heavy metals in soil by planting heavy metal-binding plants. Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) as an indicator of economic viability is a cultivar that is resistant to Cu metal stress. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of heavy metal copper (Cu) on the growth and yield of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) as a hyperaccumulator. Then to determine the distribution of metal (Cu) in pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) plant organs. The research was conducted experimentally using a simple Randomized Block Design. The treatments in this study involve different dosages of copper (Cu),consisting of D0= 0 mg, D1= 500 mg, D2= 625 mg, and D3= 750 mg of soil. The data obtained were analyzed using variance (F-test) and test with the least significant difference (LSD) test at the 5% level In the presence of a significant effect. The findings reveal that the level of heavy metal Cu inhibits root growth, branching, resulting in shorter plants, and decreased chlorophyll content. The higher the concentration of Cu, the lower the growth and chlorosis of plants due to metabolic disturbances. The highest accumulation of Cu metal in the roots occurred at concentrations with values of 625 mg and 750 mg. The accumulation of Cu was higher in the root tissue than in the leaf TF ranging from 0.11 to 0.17

Abstract

Roses have been known as important horticultural industrial commodity. This research was aimed to know the ideal mixture of media and the effective hydration time of rose cuttings in dairy’s urine liquid. This research was conducted in experimental field of Agricultural faculty of UNISMA, using a plastic house. Randomized Complete Design with two factors was used in this experiment and each treatment was replicated three times. The first factor comprised four levels of medias treatment (soil; soil and rice husk; soil and compost; soil+rice husk+compost). The second factor comprised of three levels of hydration time (3 hours, 6 hours,and 9 hours). The result of this research indicated that the combination of soil media and nine hours hydration of cuttings in dairy’s urine give the highest total buds, compared with the other treatments . Six hours hydration treatment gave the best result in cell enlargement and cell division of the buds compared with the other treatments. The combination of soil, rice husk and compost with six hours hydration treatment of dairy’s urine liquid gave the highest total leaves , fresh root, dry root weight, total fresh weight of cuttings and also its total dry weight.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah (1) mengetahui kevalidan modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis kontekstual kelas VI SDN Banyuajuh 9 Kamal Bangkalan (2) mengetahui kemenarikan modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis kontekstual kelas VI SDN Banyuajuh 9 Kamal Bangkalan, (3) mengetahui keefektifan modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis kontekstual kelas VI SDN Banyuajuh 9 Kamal Bangkalan. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4D yang memiliki 4 tahapan yakni, tahapan define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan) dan disseminate (penyebarluasan). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SDN Banyuajuh 9 Kamal Bangkalan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi para ahli didapatkan hasil persentase sebagai berikut, ahli materi 93,18% (sangat valid), ahli bahasa 95,45% (sangat valid), ahli bahan ajar 95% (sangat valid) dan ahli desain pembelajaran 86,54% (sangat valid). Keefektifan modul diperoleh dari hasil belajar klasikal siswa dengan perolehan persentase 100% dengan kategori sangat efektif. Kemenarikan modul diperoleh dari hasil angket respon guru sebesar 85% dan hasil angket respon siswa pada saat uji coba implementasi sebesar 89,90% (sangat menarik). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis kontekstual dikatakan valid, efektif dan menarik sehingga dapat digunakan pada materi operasi hitung campuran bilangan cacah dan pecahan kelas VI Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the response of netizens as readers, who provide clauses, sentences, and discourse in the form of comments in one of the cyber literary novels "Magdalena (ماجدولين)" on the Abjad E-Reader application. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with data collection techniques using library research on the data contained in the Abjad E-Reader application, while the theory used as an analysis tool is Rien T. Segers' reader response theory. The results of the research show that the focus of comments varies among the five netizens as readers of the 2023 data. It was concluded that four people commented positively and received cyber literature, the novel Magdalena (ماجدولين) with a good response and one other person was not a reader of this novel. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah netizen yang merupakan pembaca menerima cybersastra ini dengan respon dan tanggapan yang baik atau tidak. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengkategorikan peran - peran netizen sebagai pembaca yang memberikan klausa, kalimat serta wacana berupa komentar dalam salah satu novel cybersastra yang berjudul "Magdalena (ماجدولين)" pada aplikasi E-Reader Abjad dengan pendekatan reader response dan teori Rien T.Segers. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yaitu teknik penjabaran secara detail dan rinci data yang sudah diakumulasikan. Adapun pengumpulan dan pengakumulasian data yang dilakukan adalah dengan teknik pustaka sumber tertulis. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini dapat menjawab dan mengetahui point-point tujuan dan rumusan masalah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the multilingual proficiency of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH) students in Abu Dhabi. The aim of this study is to identify the forms of code-switching and code-mixing and to understand the reasons behind their occurrence in the speech of MBZUH students. The method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data analysis is conducted using the padan method and the SPEAKING method. The data sources for this study are local and international students at MBZUH, while the data itself consists of student utterances or conversations. The data collection techniques used involve two methods: the (simak) method with the (simak libat cakap) technique and the (cakap) method with the (pancing) and (cakap semuka) techniques. The results of this study identified two types of code-switching: internal and external, as well as two types of code-mixing: internal and external. Additionally, the study found three factors influencing code-switching and four factors influencing code-mixing in the speech of MBZUH students in Abu Dhabi.
