Abstract

Perusahaan PT. East West Seed Indonesia adalah perusahaan benih sayuran lokal yang memiliki tenaga ahli dalam perkembangan produksi benih dan menciptakan benih–benih sayuran unggul, memiliki mitra, dan karyawan yang siap dan mampu dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed dengan kinerja sebagai variabel antara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian penjelasan dengan menggunakan analisis SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan tidak berpengaruh signfikan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 0.870 dan P value= 0.38. Kompetensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 7.456 dan P value= 0.000. Pengawasan berpengaruh langsung dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 3.30 dan P value= 0.000. Kompetensi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR=-0.11 dan P value= 0.91. Kinerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 3.06 dan P value= 0.002

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi Kabupaten Jember serta untuk merumuskan strategi dalam mengembangkan tembakau di Jember. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Juni hingga Agusutus 2015. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur. Analisis data menggunakan Matrik Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), Matrik Eksternal Factor Evaluation (EFE), Matik Internal-Eksternal, Matrik SWOT (strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats), dan Matrik QSPM (Quantitative Strategi Planning Matrix). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kabupaten Jember mempunyai nilai identifikasi terhadap faktor internal sebesar 2.44 dan faktor eksternal sebesar 2.98. Posisi strategi Kabupaten Jember berada pada posisi  hold and maintain yaitu pada kuadran V. Strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah mempertahankan kegiatan yang sudah berlangsung namun tetap mengembangkan kuantitas dan kualitas kegiatan. Terdapat delapan alternatif strategi yang dihasilkan untuk mengembangkan tembakau di Jember dan prioritas strategi yang dihasilkan adalah pengoptimalan peran sub sistem agribisnis.

Abstract

Title: Yogurt Processing Technology as a Diversification of Goat Milk Products in the Livestock Group of Wonoasri Village, Tempurejo District, Jember RegencyCommunity service activities aim to empower the Peranakan Ettawa (PE) goat group of Wonoasri village, Tempurejo Sub-District, Jember Regency with education on processing goat milk into yoghurt. The prospect of marketing goat milk yoghurt has a market opportunity in the community, increasing the selling price of goat milk, and being a solution to the utilization of unsold goat milk. Community service activities are carried out from June to November 2019. The results obtained by the farmer group can make yoghurt processed products and implement yoghurt business management. This activity concludes that all members of the livestock group can make yoghurt according to procedures and can implement yoghurt business management as a sustainable business. The preferred yoghurt is yoghurt made with a concentration of 1% with a strawberry flavor variant. Yoghurt making activities can increase farmers income.

Abstract

There are several factors suspected of ineffective rehabilitation and conservation of the Meru Betiri National Park. These important factors need to be identified to improve the management of the park. The purpose of this study was to identify and examine the relationship between the factors that influence the achievement of rehabilitation and conservation of the park. The method of this research used a systematic approach to be identified, analyzed, and explained the influential critical factors. Data and information collection was carried out through interviews with experts, management of Meru Betiri National Park, Jember Regency Government and then Focus Group Discussions with stakeholders and farmers. The information and data obtained were analyzed using Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). The results showed the three critical factors in achieving the purpose of the programs, such as the synergy between the management of the park and Jember district government; availability of appropriate technology; and the development of institutional capacity for local communities, then the three critical factors of institutional role are Meru Betiri National Park; and Development Planning Agency of Jember Regency; and Higher Education. The implication of this study is a policy intervention is needed to improve the management of Meru Betiri National Park in the future.

Abstract

Bondowoso district has a primary program to become the center of beef cattle to increase the national of beef supply. The fulfillment of beef supply can be achieved by agribusiness development strategy in Bondowoso district. This study has three main objectives that include the following: a) Identify the external and internal factors that affect the development agribusiness of beef cattle in Bondowoso district; b) Analyze the alternative strategies for improving agribusiness of beef cattle in Bondowoso district; and c) Determine strategies priorities that can be applied in development agribusiness of beef cattle in Bondowoso district. The analysis that performed in analysis of data is: IFE, EFE, IE, SWOT, and QSPM. Based on SWOT matrix analysis there are five alternative strategies: the integration between agribusiness sub system, the strategy to increase the number of the population, training in managerial and technology, increasing the quantity, and the quality of production. The strategy priority were used Quantitative Strategies Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis was the integration on agribusiness sub system. The sub system integration can be done by integrating the department of livestock and fisheries with the department of forestry and plantation area to make a husbandry which integrated with plants. Department of livestock and fisheries also can cooperate with the promotion and investment to invite the investor to establish business or industry in Bondowoso. The Government can cooperate with university to conduct information and provide training the farmers. If all aspects in subsystem could be synergistic the Development of Beef Cattle Agribusiness in Bondowoso district can be implemented well.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of garlic extract (GE) in rations on the bloodcholesterol profiles of aflatoxin B-induced hepatotoxic in the early stage of broiler chickens. As many as140 one-day old chicks were used in this study. They were randomly divided into 16 treatment groups andeach group consists of 9 chickens. The experimental design adopted in this study was completely randomizedfactorial design consisting 4 concentrations of aflatoxin (A0 : 0 ppb, A1:500 ppb, A2: 1000 ppb and A3:1500 ppb) and 4 concentrations of garlic extract (B0: 0% B1:2% B2: 4% and B3 6%). The treatment wascarried out for 21 days. The serum levels of total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL) and highdensity lipoprotein (HDL), and HDL/LDL ratio were the examined. The result showed that Aflatoxin Bcaused hepatotoxicosis in broiler chickens indicated by the increase of total cholesterol and LDL, and thedecrease of HDL and HDL-LDL ratio. Treatment of chickens with 2% GE decreased total cholesterol andLDL level in serum, and increased HDL level and HDL-LDL ratio. No interaction effect was observedbetween aflatoxin B and GE extract treatments. It is evident that treatment of Garlic extract reduces thehepatotoxicosis effect of aflatoxin B treatment in broiler chickens.

Abstract

The aim of the study to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) todevelop strategy of native chicken (ayam kampung) industry in Jember Regency. The study wasconducted from April to October 2016. The method was descriptive analysis method, usingquestionaires, interviews, and observations. Methods of data analysis using the SWOT analysiswere used to identify the internal environmental factors (strengths and weaknesses) andexternal environmental factors (opportunities and threats) areas, internal-external (IE Matrix),and SWOT Matrix. The result was then drawn in the quadrant analysis of SWOT andinterpreted in the SWOT matrix show the position and alternative strategies that can be run.The result showed that internal identified total score was 0.441 and external identified totalscore was 0.0897. The development strategy native chicken (ayam kampung) by aggressivegrowth strategy in quadrant I. Strategy that can be used is maintaining on going activitieshowever its quantity and quality remains developed. There are five alternative strategiesresulted to develop native chicken (ayam kampung) industry in Jember Regency and thepriority strategy is to optimize the role of agribusiness subsystem.

Abstract

Salah satu kabupaten di jawa timur yang berperan sebagai penghasil terbesar dalam bidang pertembakauan adalah kabupaten jember. Sebagai kabupaten yang menghasilkan tembakau terbesar, perlu dilakukan pengembangan terhadap industri tembakau. Dalam proses pengembangan tersebut perlu dilakukan identifikasi dan analisa terhadap faktor internal dan eksternal yang dapat mempengaruhi industri pertembakauan. Dalam mengidentifikasi dan menganalisa faktor-faktor tersebut digunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Kabupaten Jember untuk mengembangkan tembakau adalah sarana prasarana, peran APTI, peran kelompok tani, pemasaran, pembinaan, dan budaya tanam tembakau. Sedangkan yang menjadi kelemahan Kabupaten Jember adalah perubahan anomali iklim, pengetahuan teknis petani, hama penyakit, permodalan, dan penentuan harga oleh perusahaan. Peluang dari luar adalah permintaan pasar, DBH-CHT, dan perkembangan teknologi informasi sedangkan ancamannya adalah persaingan dengan daerah lain.

Abstract

Perusahaan ini memiliki tenaga ahli dalam perkembangan produksi benih dan menciptakan benih – benih sayuran unggul, memiliki mitra dan karyawan yang siap dan mampu dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan, maka dari itu penting bagi perusahaan agar dapat terus memperhatikan dan peduli akan sumber daya manusia, khususnya karyawan yang memiliki kontribusi akan keberhasilan perusahaan dengan cara meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan akan pekerjaannya.  Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed dengan kinerja sebagai variabel antara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian penjelasan dengan menggunakan analisis SEM. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan berpengaruh secara langsung dan signfikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, kompetensi berpengaruh secara langsung dan signfikan terhadap kinerja, kemudian kinerja berpengaruh secara langsung dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, pengawasan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja namun kompetensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja, jika kinerja sebagai variabel antara sedangkan kompetensi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan baik melalui variabel kinerja maupun tidak melalui variabel kinerja. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan tentang analisis pengawasan dan kompetensi  melalu kinerja terhadap kepuasan kerja  karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Pengawasan tidak  berpengaruh  signfikan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 0,870 dan P value= 0.384. Kompetensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 7,456 dan P value= 0.000. Pengawasan berpengaruh langsung dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 3,300 dan P value= 0.000. Kompetensi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR=-0,114 dan P value= 0,909.  Kinerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. East West Seed Indonesia dengan nilai CR= 3,085 dan P value= 0.002.
