Abstract

Amidst the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, researchers are exploring innovative approaches to enhance diagnostic accuracy. One avenue is utilizing deep learning models to analyze lung X-ray images for COVID-19 diagnosis, complementing existing tests like reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). However, trusting these models, often viewed as black boxes, presents a challenge. To address this, six explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques: local interpretable model agnostic explanations (LIME), Shapley additive explanations (SHAP), integrated gradients, smooth-grad, gradient-weighted class activation mapping (Grad-CAM), and Layer-CAM are applied to interpret four transfer learning models. These models: VGG16, ResNet50, InceptionV3, and DenseNet121 are analyzed to understand their workings and the rationale behind their predictions. Validating the results with medical experts poses difficulties due to time and resource constraints, alongside the scarcity of annotated X-ray datasets. To address this, a voting mechanism employing different XAI methods across various models is proposed. This approach highlights regions of lung infection, potentially reducing individual model biases stemming from their structures. If successful, this research could pave the way for an automated system for annotating infection regions, bolstering confidence in predictions and aiding in the development of more effective diagnostic tools for COVID-19.

Abstract

Semantic similarity has been gaining traction in the field of natural language processing. It is a measure of how similar two pieces of text are in terms of their meaning. It can be used to improve search engine results. We propose a deep learning-based approach to build a semantic similarity search engine for movies based on a movie summary. Filmmakers can gain insight into audience preferences and trends, allowing them to create more engaging and successful films. The dataset used in this study was gathered from internet movie database (IMDb), it includes movie summaries along with their corresponding name movies. The test dataset was generated using ChatGPT to be very close to human input. The universal sentence encoder (USE) model presented promising results in semantic similarity, the model results show that for the top 5 similar movies, the model returned 176 out of 300 movies (58.6%). For the top 10 similar movies, the model returned 211 out of 300 movies (70.3%). Additionally, for the top 15 similar movies, the model returned 229 out of 300 movies (76.3%). And, for the top 20 similar movies, the model returned 249 of 300 movies (83%). This method can be applied to movie recommendation systems or to organize films in a collection automatically.

Abstract

The success of fishing activities is certainly greatly influenced by the conditions of the Fishing Ground (FG). Therefore, information about potential fishing areas is needed by fishermen in fishing activities. Chlorophyll-a is the primary productivity in water. The development of aquatic chlorophyll is influenced by Sea Surface Temperature (SST). The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution of chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature (SST) for estimating fish fishing areas based on different seasons in South Buton Waters. This type of research is exploratory research. This study used remote sensing method. The direct interview method with respondents aims to validate data (fishermen) from remote sensing processing. The study used Aqua Modis satellite imagery data to derive parameter values of chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature. The results of the analysis of the distribution of chlorophyll-a in South Buton waters are the highest with chlorophyll-a concentrations ranging from 0.3-3.0 mg / m³ spread in the waters of Sampolawa and Batauga Districts with surface temperatures ranging from 26 °C and 33 °C. Eastern and Transitional Season II have high levels of chlorophyll-a concentration. This season will be a potential skipjack fishing area in South Buton Waters.

Abstract

Kendari PPS Ocean Fishing Port is an integrated fishing industry center in eastern Indonesia and especially in Southeast Sulawesi. Having high activity and productivity makes the port face environmental problems. The current problem at Kendari PPS is that there is still some plastic waste in the harbor pool, ship activity mooring at Kendari PPS causing used waste in the harbor pool and other problems, namely the decline in environmental quality due to activities at Kendari PPS. Based on these problems, it is necessary to make changes regarding the environmental conditions of the port through an assessment of the conditions in the Kendari PPS. This research aims (1). Knowing the status of environmental management in PPS Kendari based on ecological aspects. The research was conducted in November 2022 - January 2023 with data collection locations at the Kendari Ocean Fishing Port. The approach used to overcome the problems in this study is to examine environmental management conditions by giving a score from each analysis to measure parameters that are in accordance with the eco-fishingport concept. The results showed that the Kendari PPS environmental management status was based on the concept of eco-fishingport parameters on the ecological aspect, that is, of the three parameters of the ecological aspect, only the green open space (RTH) parameter did not meet the eco-fishingport concept and the port pool water quality parameters needed to be increased so as to achieve eco-fishing port concept. PPS Kendari needs to prioritize improving port management which is considered a priority, such as controlling and monitoring the quality of the harbor pond waters, as well as adding tree planting in vacant land areas to add a calm and comfortable impression.

The purpose of this research is to analyze how coral fish biomass in two fishing seasons, namely the west and east seasons. The coastal waters of the Spelman Strait are rich in reef fish resources. Small-scale fishers also use coral fishing in the coastal waters of the Spelman Strait in meeting household needs and improving their welfare. The purpose of this research is to analyze how coral fish biomass in two fishing seasons, namely the west and east seasons. The results of the study, reef fish biomass in the two seasons is relatively different. The difference between the two is due to different fishing patterns, wherein the wet season, the reef fish that are targeted by fishermen are the Serranidae and Lutjanidae families, and the size of the fish is relatively large by using hooks number 5, 6, 7 and 8. In contrast, in the east season, the target fish fishers are all reef fishes and are relatively small in size using hooks 15, 16 and 17. The problem is that some fishermen still use explosives in catching reef fish. Muis et al. (2019) reported the condition of live coral cover in the coastal waters of the Spelman Strait in moderate condition (37.71) and dead coral (33.71). Community participation in the management of fisheries resources is significant to note because the community is the user of these resources. Community participation in the management of fisheries resources is crucial to do because of fishermen as users of resources. Muis et al. Abstract

In a pandemic like today, alternative strategies in learning are needed by utilizing technology which for now can be said to be advanced and sophisticated, but we cannot rule out the possibility of learning that is carried out online which causes pros and cons both from teachers, students and parents of students, especially those who have a poor economy, innovation and creativity of teachers as educators are needed, at least with the innovation in learning strategies during Covid-19 this can make it easier for students to understand and get education even though they cannot learn face-to-face with teachers or educators. So the teachers, especially the PAI teachers at Mts. N simuelue Aceh, has tried to make several innovations in learning strategies during the Covid-19 period. If before the Covid-19 pandemic the learning strategy carried out at Mts. N 02 simuelue, is a deductive and inductive strategy. A deductive learning strategy is a strategy that is carried out by studying the concepts first, then looking for conclusions and illustrations from the material learned from abstract things then going to concrete things and commonly called general to specific learning strategies. In contrast, the inductive learning strategy is learning done from understanding concrete things and then being exposed to complex and difficult material and is commonly called a special to general learning strategy. However, after the Covid-19 pandemic the teachers pursued innovation and adopted alternative strategies, namely by applying the cooperative e-learning method, carrying out learning by prioritizing student activity and cooperation with one another to keep students enthusiastic and to maintain solidarity and feeling. mutual respect even when learning is done online. This study aims to make us understand the extent of innovation of the Pai teachers at Mts. N 02 Simuelue on creativity in learning amid the covid-19 outbreak.
