Abstract

PT. Universal Agri Bisnisindo merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi pakan hewan ternak yang berpusat di Bekasi, Jawa Barat dan memiliki gudang salah satunya bertempat di Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan dapat mengoptimalkan persediaan produk jadi yang harus disimpan gudang agar tidak terjadi overstock atau kelebihan persediaan yang dapat mengakibatkan biaya persediaan melonjak. Biaya persediaan yang termasuk pada penelitian ini yaitu hanya biaya penyimpanan saja karena biaya pemesanan dan biaya kekurangan tidak dibebankan oleh gudang Banyuwangi. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode linear programming, didapatkan hasil optimal persediaan produk jenis Ruby sebanyak 1.794 unit, produk jenis Ruby SP sebanyak 1.618 unit, dan produk jenis Ruby SA sebanyak 1.311 unit. Sehingga keadaan tersebut dapat meminimasi biaya persediaan menjadi Rp38.382.383 dari Rp57.464.230 atau dapat menurunkan biaya persediaan sebesar 33% dari biaya persediaan awal. Dari hasil tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa biaya persediaan yang harus dikeluarkan perusahaan berkurang dan dapat memaksimalkan pendapatan.

Abstract

CV David Aluminium merupakan home industri yang bergerak dalam bidang manufaktur dan memproduksi furniture berbahan baku aluminium. Seiring berkembangnya persaingan di dunia industri pemilik usaha CV David Aluminium berencana untuk melakukan investasi tiga mesin baru untuk melakukan produksi produk baru berupa engsel piano dan memperluas area proses produksi dengan memanfaatkan lahan kosong seluas 155m2. Sehingga dari kondisi yang terjadi perlu dilakukan studi kelayakan investasi untuk pengadaan mesin baru dengan menggunakan metode Net Present Value (NPV) dan Internal Rate of Return (IRR). Selain itu letak fasilitas juga akan berubah sesuai dengan penambahan investasi alat yang dilakukan dan perluasan area proses produksi. Dalam penyelesaian masalah tersebut diperlukan adanya perancangan ulang tata letak fasilitas dengan metode From to Chart (FTC). Hasil penelitian ini berupa analisa kelayakan investasi dan usulan layout baru, dan rencana anggaran biaya implementasi relayout. Dari hasil studi kelayakan investasi dinyatakan layak dengan NPV 6.294.404 dan nilai IRR 14,84%>MARR sebesar 9,2%. Implementasi hasil usulan layout baru diperkirakan menghabiskan biaya sebesar Rp 51.347.700,00. Implementasi hasil usulan layout baru akan menghasilkan peningkatan dalam berbagai aspek operasional produksi.

Abstract

Membangun usaha yang baik harus disertai dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang mumpuni agar usaha dapat berkembang dengan baik. Di Indonesia masih didominasi dengan usaha-usaha kecil berskala home industry, yang belum memiliki manajemen usaha yang baik. Salah satunya adalah para pelaku home industry di desa Gedongkedo’an yang banyak memproduksi bahan baku kacang kedelai menjadi beberapa produk, antara lain tempe, tahu, dan sarikedelai. Untuk dapat mengembangkan usahanya, para pelaku home industry ini perlu diberikan wawasan dan keterampilan dalam membangun usahanya. Langkah pertama dari bagian manajemen usaha adalah dengan memiliki kemampuan menghitung harga pokok produksi. Riset awal menyatakan bahwa para pelaku home industry ini tidak memiliki catatan perhitungan harga pokok produksi dan mereka minim akan wawasan ini, sehingga perlu diberikan pelatihan. Hasil pelatihan menyatakan bahwa rata-rata peserta mampu menghitung harga pokok produksi yang dibutuhkan. Manfaat dari pelatihan ini dapat membantu para pelaku home industry merancang proses produksinya dan dapat mengidentifikasi hasil produksi serta laba yang diperolehnya sejak awal.

Abstract

Inefficient material handling can lead to increased production time, higher operational costs, and a greater risk of product damage. UD. X is a manufacturing company that produces motorcycle spare parts and is currently experiencing inefficiencies in its facility layout, resulting in suboptimal material flow. This study aims to redesign the facility layout to improve the efficiency of the material handling system. The methods used include the From-To Chart (FTC) for analyzing material movement between workstations, as well as discrete event simulation to evaluate the performance of layout alternatives. Data collected includes inter-departmental distances, frequency of material movement, process time, and total material travel distance. The results show that the proposed layouts successfully reduce material travel distance and handling costs. The best alternative achieved a total travel distance of 1080.05 meters and a material handling cost of Rp27,954.

Abstract

UD. XYZ is facing increasing market demand for striped plastic ball variants but does not yet have a machine capable of producing the product. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of investing in purchasing a small striped plastic ball molding machine as a strategic solution. A financial feasibility analysis was conducted using the Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), and Payback Period (PP) methods. The evaluation results indicate that this investment is highly feasible, with a positive NPV of Rp144,594,680, an IRR of 68.48% (exceeding the benchmark interest rate of 10%), and a BCR of 1.295. The payback period is estimated to be only 1 year 5 months 12 days, indicating a fast and efficient return. The implementation of this machine is expected to increase production capacity, meet market demand, and strengthen the company's competitiveness and growth.

Abstract

Warehouse efficiency involves the optimal management of space and time. PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces pipes and fittings; however, it has not yet implemented a product classification system or location labeling, resulting in inefficient item retrieval processes. This study aims to redesign the warehouse layout using a class-based storage approach combined with ABC analysis. The classification results show that Spr products consist of Class A (68.49%), B (20.55%), and C (10.96%), while Exc products consist of Class A (69.47%), B (20%), and C (10.53%). Products with diameters ranging from 5/8” to 4” are recommended to be stored on racks, while those with diameters greater than 4” should be placed on the floor. This layout is expected to improve the efficiency of the item search and retrieval process in the warehouse

Abstract

As a company engaged in the plastic sack manufacturing sector, PT. XYZ is highly dependent on plastic pellets as the main material in its production activities. Currently, the company’s raw material inventory planning is inefficient, necessitating improvements in inventory control. One effective method to address this is Linear Programming, which supports decision-making by optimizing the allocation of resources such as machinery, labor, capital, time, capacity, and materials. In this case, PT. XYZ procures raw materials from two suppliers with varying capacities and costs while facing storage limitations. The study focuses on minimizing raw material purchasing expenses. Findings reveal that sourcing solely from the first supplier, with a purchase volume of 1,577,852 kg, results in the lowest cost of Rp 4.141.861.464,54. Utilizing Linear Programming led to a cost reduction of Rp 1,621,664,213.62 compared to previous procurement strategies.

Abstract

CV. XYZ is a tent manufacturing company based in Surabaya facing issues with its production facility layout, which does not follow the actual production flow. This results in long material handling distances and inefficient workflow. This study aims to redesign the layout to minimize material movement distances and optimize space utilization. The methods used include observation, interviews, the creation of an Operation Process Chart, Multi Product Process Chart, From-To Chart, Systematic Layout Planning analysis, and simulation using FlexSim software. The research sample includes all workstations on the production floor of CV. XYZ. The results show that proposed layout 2 reduces the Material Handling burden by 29.01% and increases space utilization from 46.52 m² to 88.55 m². It is recommended that the company implement the proposed layout to enhance production efficiency.

Abstract

PT. X is a leading ceramic tile manufacturer in Indonesia, with three main production facilities located in Surabaya, Gresik, and Bekasi, and warehouses located in Bali, Bandung, Jakarta, and Medan. This research aims to analyze and identify the impact of warehouse stock accuracy on the company’s operational needs. Stock accuracy also aims to identify the main factors that significantly contribute to inventory discrepancies in PT. X's warehouses and to formulate improvement strategies as recommendations that can be implemented to increase stock accuracy and achieve the goals set by the company in supporting overall warehouse operational effectiveness. This study uses the Root Cause Analysis method to identify and analyze the factors that are parameters of low stock accuracy in the warehouse, with the support of 5W+1H, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Diagram analyses to determine the root causes in detail. The findings of this study can be used as a basis for decision-making related to warehouse stock policies, stock opname scheduling, and improving stock accuracy.
