Abstract

This study aims to know the relation between religiousity (X1) and psychological well being (Y), the relation between optimism (X2) and psychological well being (Y), as well as the relation between social support (X3) and psychological well being (Y) of students of MAN in the entire Malang city. This study was a non-experimental study with causal relationship study plan. The result of this research showed that there was a positive significant between X1 and Y, X2 and Y, X3 and Y; X1, X2, X3 had strong linear relation with Y; the influence of the three independent     logical well being (Y), optimism (X2) dan psychological well being (Y), social support (X3) and psychological well being (Y) student of MAN se-Kota Malang.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan religiusitas (X1) dan psychological well being (Y), optimis (X2) dan psychological well being (Y), social support (X3) dan psychological well being (Y) peserta didik MAN se-kota Malang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah non experimental research dengan jenis penelitian causal relationship study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan positif signifikan antara X1 dan Y, X2 dan Y, X3 dan Y; X1, X2, X3 memiliki hubungan linear yang kuat dengan Y; pengaruh ketiga variabel independen psychological well being (Y), optimism (X2) dan psychological well being (Y), social support (X3) dan psychological well being (Y) peserta didik MAN se-Kota Malang.

Abstract

This study aims to know the relationship of self-efficacy (X1) and psychological well-being (Y), optimism (X2) and psychological well-being (Y), social support (X3), and psychological well-being (Y) of learners school vocational high in the entire Malang City. The method used was non-experimental research with this type of research study causal relationship. Research findings show there was a positive and significant correlation between X1 and Y, X2 and Y, Y. X3 and X1, X2, X3 connected simultaneously to Y; The third contribution of variables X1, X2, X3 amounted to 26.84%, while 73.16% influenced by other variables; X2 most influential factor on the Y, the X3, and the third is the X1.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-efficacy (X1) dan psychological well-being (Y), optimism (X2) dan psychological well-being (Y), social support (X3) dan psychological well-being (Y) peserta didik SMK Negeri se-Kota Malang. Metode yang digunakan adalah non experimental research dengan jenis penelitian causal relationship study. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara X1 dan Y, X2 dan Y, X3 dan Y. X1, X2, X3 memiliki hubungan secara simultan terhadap Y; sumbangan ketiga variabel X1, X2, X3 sebesar 26,84%, sedangkan 73,16% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain; X2 faktor paling berpengaruh terhadap Y, kedua X3, dan urutan ketiga adalah X1.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examined the effectiveness of Problem Solving Strategy (PSS) to improve problem-solving skills at the junior high school students. This is an experimentation research with equivalent time series design. In general, the results showed problem solving strategy (PSS) effected to enhancing problem solving skills at junior high school students, which is proved through hypothetical testing, at pretest and posttest using the scale-test, counted z score 2,201 at significance level (p) = 0.028 < 0.05. The results of hypothetical testing, using the rubric-test, 1st test to 2nd test counted z score 2,207 at significance level (p) = 0.027 < 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected, next on 2nd  test to  3rd test  counted  z scores 2,220 at significance level (p) = 0.026 < 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and hypothetical testing in 3rd test  to 1st test counted z score 2,227 at significance level (p) = 0.027 < 0.05, which means that H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Based on the findings of this research, it is advisable for the teacher guidance and counseling in schools should be able to provide the students needs, train students to develop cognitive skills in problems solving, from an early age by using the technique of problem solving strategy (PSS) as were tested in this study. For further research should further explore the subject with a level and a higher age.Penelitian ini menguji keefektifan Problem Solving Strategy (PSS) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah pada siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan equivalent time series design. Hasil yang diperoleh secara umum problem solving strategy (PSS) memberikan pengaruh untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memecahkan siswa SMP, yang terbukti melalui uji hipotesis saat pretest dan posttest dengan menggunakan skala diperoleh skor z hitung sebesar 2.201 dengan taraf signifikansi (p) = 0,028 < 0,05. Pada hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan rubrik pada tes 1 dengan tes 2 diperoleh skor z hitung sebesar 2.207 dengan taraf signifikansi (p) = 0,027 < 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak, dilanjutkan pada hasil tes 2 dengan tes 3 diperoleh skor z hitung sebesar 2.220 dengan taraf signifikansi (p) = 0,026 < 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan uji hipotesis pada tes 3 dengan tes 1 diperoleh skor z hitung sebesar 2.227 dan taraf signifikansi (p) = 0,027 < 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil temuan penelitian ini, maka disarankan bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah hendaknya dapat membekali kebutuhan siswa sejak dini dengan melatih mengembangkan keterampilan kognitif siswa dalam memecahkan masalah dengan menggunakan teknik problem solving strategy (PSS) yang telah teruji pada penelitian ini. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya hendaknya lebih mengeksplorasi pada subjek dengan tingkatan dan usia yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Academic achievement is starting point for the students to succeed in learning. There are two factors that contribute to succeed of the students’ academic achievement such as achievement motivation and academic self-concept, both factors are non-cognitive factor that affect on students' academic achievement. This research aimed to examine the effect of achievement motivation and academic self-concept on academic achievement of students of all the Junior High School in Malang city. Path analysis method been used to analyze the data that been collected from 393 samples. Result of the research shown that there were positive and significant directly and indirectly influenced between academic self-concept and achievement motivation on academic achievement.Prestasi akademik merupakan tolak ukur keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar. Terdapat dua faktor yang berkontribusi dalam keberhasilan siswa mencapai prestasi akademik, yaitu motivasi berprestasi dan konsep diri akademik, keduanya merupakan faktor non-kognitif yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi akademik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh motivasi berprestasi dan konsep diri akademik terhadap prestasi akademik siswa SMPN se-Kota Malang. Metode analisis jalur digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang dikumpulkan dari 393 sampel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara langsung dan tidak langsung antara konsep diri akademik dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap prestasi akademik.

Abstract

Bullying is one of the events that repeatedly arises in schools and associated to varies between individuals. One of the sources of bullying is the poor self-awareness held by students. Self-awareness is one of the students skill must acquire. However, in reality there are still many students who have poor self-awareness. This study tries to investigate the effectiveness of the Karpman Drama Triangle to build up students self-awareness using Quasi Experiment Design. The research subjects consisted of 15 junior high school students who had poor self-awareness. The results of the study indicated that the Karpman Drama Triangle was useful in enhancing students self-awareness to reduce bullying behavior. It also informs us that the Karpman Drama Triangle can be an option to develop students self-awareness in reducing conflicts and bullying behavior that exists between students. The difference in the status of self-awareness between students before and after treatment is expressed is also illustrated. The Karpman Drama Triangle can be an alternative solution for handling and facilitating students who have poor social interaction and growing conflict situations towards peacefully.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi keterampilan menetapkan tujuan, regulasi diri akademik, resiliensi akademik, efikasi diri akademik, dan motivasi berprestasi pada prestasi belajar secara sendiri-sendiri, dan mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi variabel-variabel tersebut secara bersama-sama pada prestasi belajar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kausal komparatif. Sampel ditarik dari 27 SMP Negeri di Kota Malang dengan teknik multistage random sampling, dan diperoleh jumlah sampel sekolah sebesar 4 sekolah dan sampel siswa sebanyak 340. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan skala pengukuran keterampilan menetapkan tujuan, skala pengukuran regulasi diri akademik, skala pengukuran resiliensi akademik, skala pengukuran efikasi diri akademik, dan skala pengukuran motivasi berprestasi; sedangkan data prestasi akademik diperoleh melalui dokumen nilai Ulangan Tengah Semester sebelum memperoleh tindakan pengajaran remidi mata-mata pelajaran Matematika, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Data-data tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya efikasi diri akademik yang memberi kontribusi pada prestasi akademik; sedangkan keterampilan menetapkan tujuan, regulasi diri akademik, resiliensi akademik, motivasi berprestasi tidak memberi kontribusi pada prestasi akademik. Variabel-variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini secara bersama-sama memberi kontribusi hanya sebesar 2,8%.  The contribution of cognitive factors on the learning achievements of elementary school students AbstractThis study was intended to invent effective contribution of goal setting skill, academic self-regulation, academic resilience, academic self-efficacy, and achievement motivation to academic achievement. Causal comparative design was applied to find the aim of the study. Sample was taken from 4 schools, out of 27 state secondary schools at Kota Malang, using multistage random technique. The instruments used to collect data were: goal setting skill scale, academic self-regulation scale, academic resilience scale, academic self-efficacy scale, and achievement motivation scale, and student achievement score. Data of academic achievement was taken by calculating mean of mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, English, Social Science, Science score of mid-semester test. Data was analyzed by multiple regression. Result of this study showed only academic self-efficacy contribute to academic achievement, whereas other variables does not. The fourth independent variables, all together, contribute only 2.8%.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a training guide in emotion management skills to prevent bullying behavior for junior high school students. The method used is the research and development model. The trial subjects in this study included guidance and counseling experts, psychology experts, educational technology expert, and school counselors. Instruments used are the scale of emotion management skills for students, expert assessment instruments and counselors assessment instruments. Data from the assessment of guidance and counseling experts, psychology experts, educational technology expert, and three school counselors from three different schools in Malang showed that the developed product is acceptable and feasible to be used for the improvement of emotion management skills as a preventative effort of bullying behavior for junior high school students.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan panduan pelatihan keterampilan mengelola emosi sebagai upaya preventif perilaku bullying siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah model penelitian dan pengembangan. Subjek uji coba pada penelitian ini melibatkan ahli bimbingan dan konseling (BK), ahli psikologi, ahli teknologi pendidikan (TEP) dan konselor sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala keterampilan mengelola emosi untuk siswa, instrumen penilaian ahli dan instrumen penilaian konselor. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to developing the creative problem solving manual for preventing bullying among junior high school students which acceptable on accuracy, utility, and implementatively. This research method is adapted from procedural research and development Borg & Gall model (1983). Expert and prospective user analyzed by inter-rater agreement (Grinnell, 1988). Agreement result of 3 guidance and counseling experts from accuracy aspect is high, utility is high, and implementatiely is very high. Agreement of 3 prospective users from accuracy is high, utility is high, and implementatively is very high. The conclusion of the test is, this training guide product acceptable.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa panduan pelatihan creative problem solving untuk mencegah bullying di SMP yang memenuhi kriteria keberterimaan berupa ketepatan, kegunaan, dan keterlaksanaan. Metode penelitian ini diadaptasi dari model Research and Development (R&D) prosedural Borg & Gall (1983). Uji ahli dan calon pengguna berupa angket dianalisis menggunakan inter-rater agreement (Grinnell, 1988). Hasil kesepakatan oleh 3 ahli bimbingan dan konseling pada aspek ketepatan tinggi, kegunaan tinggi, dan keterlaksanaan sangat tinggi. Kesepakatan oleh 3 calon pengguna pada aspek ketepatan tinggi, kegunaan tinggi, dan keterksanaan sangat tinggi. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between academic self-concept, academic self-efficacy, self-esteem and academic procrastination. To achieve these goals, used a correlational study design. The population used in the study are students of Junior High School in Malang, the sample totaled 393 students obtained through a multistage random sampling method of sampling. To measure academic self-concept, academic self-efficacy, self-esteem and academic procrastination, use a scale of academic self-concept, academic self-efficacy scale, the scale of self-esteem and academic procrastination scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that each variable that academic self-concept, academic self-efficacy and self-esteem negatively related to academic procrastination and together these three variables affect the academic procrastination.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri akademik, efikasi diri akademik, harga diri dan prokrastinasi akademik. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, digunakan rancangan penelitian korelasional. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ialah siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Malang, sampel penelitian berjumlah 393 siswa yang diperoleh melalui metode pengambilan sampel multistage random sampling. Untuk mengukur konsep diri akademik, efikasi diri akademik, harga diri dan prokrastinasi akademik, digunakan skala konsep diri akademik, skala efikasi diri akademik, skala harga diri dan skala prokrastinasi akademik yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing variabel yaitu konsep diri akademik, efikasi diri akademik dan harga diri memiliki hubungan negatif terhadap prokrastinasi akademik dan secara bersama-sama ketiga variabel tersebut berpengaruh terhadap prokrastinasi akademik.Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um001v1i22016p060
