Abstract

Paraphrasing must be done in writing scientific papers to avoid plagiarism. So this is important for all students. However, in reality, Asahan University FKIP students still have not mastered the correct paraphrasing technique. These abilities can be developed by diligently reading or with the help of free or paid online applications. The method of this activity was carried out in three stages, namely: preparation, implementation, and evaluation, by distributing questionnaires for student responses to the activities that have been carried out. This community service activity was at the Asahan University FKIP, Jalan Jend. Ahmad Yani Kisaran. Participants in this activity were all students of the seventh semester of the English Education study program, totalling 43 students, and Mathematics Education, totalling 57 students. This activity was carried out by introducing paraphrasing tools to help students reduce plagiarism. However, these tools must be re-read by students so that the meaning of the articles quoted is the same. The results of the introduction and training on paraphrasing applications, namely smodin, spinner id, quilbolt, and paraphrasing tools, were fascinating and help students reduce plagiarism. Based on the results of the evaluation through the distribution of google form questionnaires, it was found that 82% of students stated that the activities of using paraphrasing applications that were taught were beneficial. In comparison, 18% of students stated that it was helpful.

Abstract

Abstrak: Bentuk aplikasi dari serangkaian teori pendidikan yang telah dipelajari di dalam kampus tentunya akan lebih bermanfaat apabila teori-teori ilmu tersebut kita bagi kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan inilah yang disebut dengan pengabdian kita kepada masyarakat. Sebagai seorang akademisi baik dosen dan mahasiswa harus mampu bekerjasama dalam meujudkan Tri Darma perguruan tinggi dimana tempat kita membagi dan menimba ilmu pengetahuan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah tindakan nyata yang dapat kita lakukan untuk menambah wawasan masyarakat terhadap informasi yang akan kita bagikan, sehingga membawa kontribusi positif dalam masyarakat. Apalagi sekarang lagi hangat-hangatnya memperbincangkan tentang pemilihan kepala daerah, oleh karena itu penyuluhan tentang kepemimpinan dianggap perlu untuk di sosialisasikan kepada masyarakat. Harapan kedepannya adalah masyarakat mampu memilih pemimpin yang dapat menjadi contoh baik dalam setiap tindakan dan perkataannnya. Masyarakat diharapkan lebih hati-hati dalam memilih calon kepala daerah, tidak mudah terpengaruh citra dan kekuasaan yang dapat mendatangkan kerudian dalam masyarakat itu nantinya. Selain itu masyarakat tidak perlu takut terhadap tekanan yang mungkin saja datang untuk memaksa memilih jagoan mereka, masyarakat harus mendapatkan pencerahan tentang bagaimana hukum itu berlaku di kalangan masyarakat. Untuk itu selain membahas masalah kepemimpinan Universitas asahan juga bekerjasama dengan Yayasan Lembaga Bantuan Hukum – Cakrawana Nusantara Indonesia untuk memberi pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang hukum, apa yang harus dilakukan masyarakat apabila tersangkut permasalahan hukum di lingkungannya, mengetahui hak dan kewajibannya dalam mentaati hukum tersebut. Harapan terbesarnya masyarakat di desa antara tidak tabu lagi terhadap permasalahan hukum, masyarakat desa antara berani untuk menghadapai permasalahan hukum yang mereka hadapi, masyarakat desa antara mampu memilih pemimpin yang tepat untuk memimpin daerah mereka.Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan, Bantuan Hukum, Masyarakat Marginal Abstract: The application form of a series of educational theories that have been studied on campus will certainly be more useful if the theories of science are shared for the community. This activity is called our devotion to the community. As an academic both lecturers and students should be able to work together in realizing Tri Darma college where we share and gain knowledge. Community service is a real action that we can do to increase society's insight into the information we will share, thus bringing a positive contribution to society. Especially now more warmly discussed about the election of regional heads, therefore counseling about leadership is considered necessary for the socialization to the community. The future expectation is that people are able to choose leaders who can be good examples in every action and perfomance. The community is expected to be more careful in choosing candidates for regional heads, not easily influenced by the image and power that can bring in the society later. In addition people should not be afraid of the pressures that might come to force their heroes, the public should get an enlightenment about how the law applies to the public. In addition to discussing the issue of leadership, the University of Asahan also cooperates with the Legal Aid Foundation - Cakrawana Nusantara Indonesia to provide an understanding to the public about the law, what should the community do when it comes to legal issues in its environment, knowing its rights and obligations in complying with the law. The greatest hope of the community in the village between no longer taboo on legal issues, the villagers between daring to face the legal problems they face, the villagers between able to choose the right leader to lead their area.Keywords: Leadership, Legal Aid, Marginal Society

Abstract

Pendidikan Indonesia yang berkembang saat ini adalah paradigma konstruktivis. Merupakan teori belajar yang menekankan keaktifan siswa untuk mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya. Hal ini menjadi tantangan bagi pendidik untuk menemukan model pembelajaran yang membantu siswa secara aktif memperoleh pengetahuan dengan belajar secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji apakah model learning cycle 5E meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan dapat dikatakan layak dalam proses belajar mengajar. Metode penelitian ini dalam mengumpulkan data adalah studi kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan data yang relevan dari berbagai artikel hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Learning Cycle 5E membantu siswa untuk berpikir kritis, analitis, kreatif, dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Karya sastra adalah suatu tuangan keativitas manusia dari pemikirannya yang kemudian di tuangkan menjadi sebuah karya yang indah dan mengandung nilai moral.  Tujuan peneltian adalah untuk membantu pembaca menemukan nilai-nilai moral dalam novel Pemetik Bintang Karya Venerdi Handoyo. Metode penelitian ini kualitatif bersifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan pada penelitian yaitu teknik baca, simak, catat dan pustaka. Adapun wujud penyampaian moral yang akan dianalisis yaitu ditinjau dari 3 kategori yaitu hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, manusia dengan manusia lain, dan hubungan manusia dengan diri sendiri.

Abstract

Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK kesulitan mengekspresikan diri melalui kegiatan berbicara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dengan cara menceritakan kembali isi teks biografi menggunakan metode Numbered Head Together di kelas X SMK. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 22 siswa kelas X TKJ-1 SMK PAB 5 KLAMBIR LIMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus.  Sebelum melakukan tindakan, peneliti melakukan tes pra tindakan. Rata-rata nilai tes pra tindakan siswa 62,5 dituntaskan oleh 4 siswa (18,2%), dan rata-rata nilai siswa pada siklus I adalah 70,3 dituntaskan oleh 6 siswa (27,2%). Kemudian rata-rata nilai siswa pada siklus II adalah 81,5, dan sebanyak 19 siswa (86,3%) tuntas. Berdasarkan data tersebut disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode Numbered Head Together dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam menceritakan kembali isi teks biografi siswa kelas X SMK.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a book for writing research articles based on TPACK that were valid, practical, and effective in supporting Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. This book contains technology recommendations that can be used in writing scientific articles and tutorials on how to use them. This development research used the Plomp development model, which consists of three stages, namely the preliminary research phase (early research phase), the development or prototype development phase (development phase), and the assessment phase (assessment phase). The data of this study were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests of writing scientific articles for undergraduate students. Several documents used were questionnaires, observation sheets, and validation sheets. The data were analyzed by using Likert Scale. The result showed that Scientific Writing Book based on TPACK had met the validity, practicality, and effectiveness requirement to support Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program.

Abstract

This research is to provide animation-based learning media to enhance the autonomous curriculum programme in the area of numeracy. The study's findings will be reliable and useful in the real world. The ADDIE paradigm is being used in this study of development. This study had three phases: The fourth-grade students of a state elementary school in Banjar during the 2022–2023 school year made up the study's population. The data was collected from a group of 35 fourth graders. The data was analysed using quantitative and qualitative methods. The Smart Apps Creator software is being used in this development study; ultimately, researchers use it to create animated educational materials. Expert validation results show that the data generated from these trials are quite valid, with an average of 90% accuracy. In addition, 93 % of students rated animation-based learning material as effective, while 90 % of teachers rated it as useful. Students then finish traditionally, scoring an average of 94% in the very effective category on the numeracy literacy test. This figure establishes animation as a realistic, practical, and successful learning medium for fourth-grade elementary school fractions.

Abstract

Analysis of the Implementation of Independent Learning in Indonesian Language Learning at Sekolah Penggerak SMA Negeri 1 Lima Puluh. This study aims to determine the differences in the implementation of learning Indonesian using the 2013 curriculum and the independent learning curriculum as well as the results of the implementation of independent learning in the Indonesian language subject at SMA Negeri 1 Lima Puluh. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using triangulation techniques and the validity of the data is obtained from data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from this study are that there are differences in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in the application of learning media, and learning methods and in student learning activities that have not been juxtaposed with technology in the 4.0 era. Independent learning applied by the teacher gives freedom (independence) to students in exploring existing knowledge. The obstacles encountered are internal factors from students and external from the scope of the school.

Abstract

The development of slang language among teenagers is increasingly prevalent due to the influence of technology. The environment also plays a role in shaping the use of slang language. Slang is used for various purposes, such as casual greetings, playful banter, teasing, reminding or reprimanding, and even to foster harmonious relationships in friendships, making communication more relaxed and less formal or monotonous for teenagers. This research aims to gain in-depth insights into the patterns of slang formation used by teenagers, the sources of slang language, the objectives behind its formation, as well as the factors that support the existence of slang language and its impact. This study employs a qualitative analysis approach, conducted by interviewing active students at Asahan University to understand the effects and influences resulting from the use of slang language among university students. The research indicates that the consequences and effects of slang language use can pose a threat to the presence of the Indonesian language and diminish its value, potentially even leading to the extinction of the Indonesian language. However, slang language also has positive effects, such as enhancing the creativity of teenagers in their language use.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi tantangan yang muncul dalam penggunaan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran di Universitas Asahan. Teknologi telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan sehari-hari, namun pemanfaatannya dalam konteks pendidikan masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan. Edukasi mengenai peran teknologi dalam kegiatan belajar sangat penting untuk memastikan mahasiswa dapat memaksimalkan potensi teknologi demi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Adapun hal-hal yang akan dilakukan yaitu mengedukasi mahasiswa mengenai peran teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran, memperjelas manfaatnya, dan mengurangi hambatan dalam penggunaannya dan memberikan pelatihan praktis untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan alat dan aplikasi teknologi terkini, mendorong mahasiswa untuk berinovasi dalam merancang metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi, menggunakan teknologi untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran, memfasilitasi diskusi, kolaborasi, dan akses ke sumber belajar, menunjukkan bagaimana teknologi dapat meningkatkan aksesibilitas materi pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa dengan berbagai kebutuhan. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa di Universitas Asahan akan lebih siap dan mampu memanfaatkan teknologi secara optimal dalam proses pembelajaran, menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis, interaktif, dan inovatif.
