Abstract

This research examines the impact of digital transformation on the performance of MSMEs in Indonesia through secondary data analysis from various published studies. Digital transformation, which includes the use of digital technology to change business processes and interactions with customers, has become the key to maintaining the competitiveness of MSMEs in the digital era. Analysis was carried out on the factors that influence the success of digital transformation and its impact on MSME performance. The main findings of this research show that leadership behavior and formality have a significant influence on the use of digital media, while entrepreneurial leadership directly and indirectly influences the performance of MSMEs. Digital marketing and marketing capabilities have also been proven to improve MSME performance. In addition, digital literacy plays an important role in supporting digital transformation and the competitiveness of micro and small businesses. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digital technology by MSMEs, which has had a positive impact on their performance. Digital transformation models adapted to the specific conditions of MSMEs during the pandemic have proven effective in accelerating the transformation process and improving performance. Ecosystem-based digital platforms help MSMEs integrate strategic knowledge sources and respond to dynamic environmental changes, increasing their innovation and competitiveness in the global market

Abstract

The development of smart cities is a crucial strategy for improving urban governance efficiency through the utilization of information and communication technology (ICT). However, its implementation in Indonesia still faces various challenges, particularly related to digital infrastructure readiness, unintegrated regulations, and social disparities due to digital transformation. This study aims to analyze the management of smart city development by highlighting the synergy between technology, public policy, and local wisdom as key factors for its success. This research employs a qualitative method with a secondary data analysis approach. The findings indicate that some cities, such as Yogyakarta and Semarang, have successfully adopted smart city concepts based on local wisdom, while other cities, such as Palangkaraya and Tanjung Pinang, still struggle with policy integration and infrastructure challenges. The study emphasizes that an effective smart city development strategy should include clear regulations, enhanced digital literacy among citizens, and collaboration between the government, private sector, academia, and local communities. The integration of technology with social and cultural values is key to achieving an inclusive and sustainable smart city implementation

Abstract

Purpose: This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of youth in Gadingrejo District by equipping them with knowledge and practical skills in utilizing information technology to identify and seize business opportunities. This initiative focused on addressing the digital literacy gap and promoting digital entrepreneurship as a strategy for local economic empowerment. Methodology: The activity was conducted through an interactive seminar and hands-on training. This approach involves multimedia presentations using LCD projectors, real-time demonstrations of digital tools, and active discussions. Participants were engaged in practical sessions to apply the concepts learned with guidance from the community service team. Results/Findings: The program successfully attracted enthusiastic participation from the youth, as evidenced by their active involvement in discussions, demonstrations, and question-and-answer sessions. Participants gained foundational knowledge about digital platforms such as e-commerce, social media, and digital financial tools and demonstrated an increased awareness of the potential of digital business models. Conclusions: The training created an inclusive, participatory learning environment that empowered the youth to view information technology as a critical asset for business innovation. This initiative served as a starting point for building a digitally competent entrepreneurial ecosystem at the local level. Limitations: The short duration of training limited the depth of technical skill development across all the digital tools introduced. The diversity in digital literacy among participants also presents challenges in delivering uniformly paced content. Contributions: This program contributes to digital inclusion by providing a replicable model of community-based ICT training targeted at youth entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effect of supervision on teacher performance in the PAUD Kasih Bunda Playgroup in East Lampung. This study seeks to identify the extent to which supervision enhances teacher productivity and learning quality. Research methodology: A quantitative descriptive approach was applied with a total population sample of 21 teachers. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and document analysis. The validity and reliability of the instruments were tested using SPSS 21, and regression analysis was employed to measure the effect of supervision on teacher performance. Results: The findings revealed a strong correlation (r = 0.732) between supervision and teacher performance, with a determination coefficient (R²) of 53.6%. Regression analysis indicated that supervision significantly affected teacher performance, with every one-point increase in supervision associated with a 0.505-point improvement in teacher performance. Conclusions: Effective supervision positively influences teacher performance, highlighting its importance in improving the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. Regular supervisory visits, constructive feedback, and collaborative guidance can enhance the quality of teaching and foster better student outcomes. Limitations: This study focused on only one institution with a relatively small sample size, limiting the generalizability of the findings. It also does not account for other influencing factors, such as work motivation, leadership, or organizational culture. Contribution: This study provides empirical evidence of the critical role of supervision in strengthening teacher performance in early childhood education. This study contributes to the literature on educational management and offers practical insights for school leaders, supervisors, and policymakers to enhance teacher quality through structured supervision.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of environmental support and compensation on nurses’ work performance at Bintang Amin Hospital in Lampung. The study was motivated by the growing demand for high-quality nursing services and the need to identify organizational factors that improve nurses’ performance in inpatient care settings. Research Methodology: A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used in this study. It involved 60 nurses working in inpatient units, selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires that measured environmental support, compensation, and nurses’ work performance. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, as well as hypothesis testing using multiple regression. Results: Environmental support has a positive and significant effect on nurses’ work performance. Supportive working conditions, teamwork, and supervisory support contribute to higher performance. Compensation also has a positive and significant influence, indicating that fair remuneration enhances nurses’ motivation and work commitment. Environmental support and compensation significantly affect nurses’ work performance. Conclusions: Nurses’ work performance was strongly influenced by organizational factors, particularly environmental support and compensation. Hospitals that provide supportive work environments and fair compensation systems tend to achieve better nursing performance and service quality. Limitations: This study was limited to a single hospital and used a cross-sectional design, limiting generalizability and failing to capture changes over time. Other factors affecting nurses’ performance were not examined. Contributions: This study contributes empirical evidence to the nursing and healthcare human resource management literature by demonstrating the combined effects of environmental support and compensation on nurses’ work performance in an Indonesian hospital.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effects of user experience, perceived quality, service quality, and customer engagement on customer loyalty, emphasizing the mediating role of consumer trust in e-commerce. Customer engagement is a direct driver of loyalty and an indirect factor that strengthens trust. Research Methodology: A quantitative approach was used to collect data from 389 e-commerce users via an online survey. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the relationships among the variables. Results: User experience, perceived quality, and service quality significantly enhance consumer trust, which positively affects customer loyalty. Customer engagement plays a dual role, directly influencing loyalty and indirectly shaping it through trust, confirming trust as a key mediator. Conclusions: User experience, perceived quality, service quality, and customer engagement significantly affect consumer trust. User experience, perceived quality, and customer engagement significantly influenced customer loyalty, whereas service quality showed no significant direct effect. Limitations: This study is Limited to Indonesian e-commerce and cross-sectional data. This study highlights engagement as a critical mechanism for building trust and sustaining loyalty. Contributions: This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating that user experience, perceived quality, service quality, and customer engagement jointly influence customer loyalty through consumer trust. This indicates that e-commerce platforms should prioritize enhancing experience, quality, and engagement to build and maintain trust and loyalty.
