Abstract

Risk factors for risky behavior in adolescents include a lack of knowledge about reproductive health and the impact of sexual behavior. The aim of this research is to determine differences in knowledge of young women about premarital sexual behavior who are given health education using video media and flip sheets. This type of research is pretest-posttest with control group design. Implementation in April 2024 with random sampling involving 60 teenagers divided into 2 groups. Data collection by distributing knowledge questionnaires that have been declared valid and reliable. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate. The difference between pretest and posttest knowledge scores in the video group obtained an average N-gain score of 66%, which is quite effective in increasing teenagers' knowledge. Meanwhile, the average N-gain score for the flip sheet group was 41%, which was included in the less effective category in increasing teenagers' knowledge. The results of the Mann Whitney test obtained a p-value of 0.08 (p<0.1), which means that there is a significant difference in knowledge scores and health education through video media is more effective than flip-sheet media so there is a difference in health education through video and sheet media. feedback on the knowledge of young women about premarital sexual behavior at the youth posyandu in Tibubeneng Village. It is hoped that Community Health Centers can consider video media in providing health education because it is more effective in increasing teenagers' knowledge regarding premarital sexual behavior.

Abstract

Abstract

This study was motivated by the higher risk of postpartum depression in mothers undergoing cesarean section (CS) compared to vaginal delivery. Physical trauma, prolonged recovery, and feelings of failure are key factors. Data shows that postpartum depression affects 46.7% of post-CS mothers, much higher than 2.2% in vaginal deliveries. This research aims to analyze postpartum depression risk among post-CS mothers at Bali Mandara Hospital by examining factors such as age, education, pregnancy status, marital status, parity, economic status, and spousal support. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, with a sample of 43 post-CS mothers collected from March to April 2025. Data were collected using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and analyzed univariately. The results showed most respondents were over 35 years old (44.1%), highly educated (58.1%), and had strong spousal support (79%). The majority (74.4%) exhibited low depression risk, while 14% had moderate risk. Planned pregnancy, marital status, multiparity, income above minimum wage, and strong spousal support reduced depression risk. In conclusion, postpartum depression risk among post-CS mothers at Bali Mandara Hospital is low due to adequate protective factors. Healthcare providers should conduct routine screening, provide psychosocial interventions for high-risk mothers, and enhance family education on postnatal support.

Abstract

The first antenatal care visit (K1) is an essential component of maternal health services aimed at early detection of pregnancy risks and timely intervention, ideally before 12 weeks of gestation. However, many pregnant women still attend their first visit late, increasing risks for both the mother and the fetus. K1 coverage at UPTD Puskesmas Klungkung II decreased to 58.18% in 2024. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between maternal age, education, occupation, and parity with the timeliness of K1 visits. A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted from April to May 2025, involving 82 first-trimester pregnant women selected via total sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that 82.9% of respondents made timely K1 visits. However, there was no significant relationship between age, education, occupation, or parity and the timeliness of K1 (p > 0.05). Although higher proportions of timely K1 visits were found among women aged 20–35 years (87.8%), those with secondary education (73.2%), unemployed women (72%), and parity ≤3 (80.5%), these differences were not statistically significant. Demographic factors were not the primary determinants of K1 attendance. Efforts should focus on health education, service accessibility, and family support to improve timely antenatal care utilization.

Abstract

Toddler nutrition is a health problem. Nutritional knowledge can influence toddler feeding patterns so that it can improve toddler nutrition. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about nutrition and feeding patterns for toddlers at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of the Dawan I Klungkung Community Health Center. This type of quantitative research uses correlation analytical methods with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted March 3rd week to April 3rd week of 2024. Samples were taken using the proportional sampling method totaling 97 respondents. The research instrument uses a questionnaire via Google Form. The results of univariate data analysis were that the mother had a good level of knowledge (79%) and appropriate feeding patterns (90,7%) while bivariate analysis using the contingency test obtained a p value <0,05. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between mothers' knowledge about toddler nutrition and toddler feeding patterns. It is hoped that the Dawan I Klungkung Regional Technical Implementation Unit will hold a routine program for posyandu activities related to nutrition education for toddlers.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between early initiation of breastfeeding (EIBF) and exclusive breastfeeding to mothers in the Banjarangkan II Public Health Center, Regional Technical Implementation Unit (RTIU). This study employs the correlative analytical method of cross-sectional design, utilizing a retrospective approach. This study lasted from February to April 2024. The random proportional sample method consists of 58 individuals. We collected data through questionnaires and used the Fisher exact test for data analysis. The results of the study showed that the majority (89.7%) of mothers of babies aged 7–12 months had EIBFs, and most (82.8%) had exclusive breastfeeding. Studies show that mothers who perform EIBF in the Banjarangkan II Public Health Center's Regional Technical Implementation Unit work area and have babies aged 7–12 months are more likely to provide breast milk as the only source of nutrition for babies, often called exclusive breastfeeding. The results indicate a correlation between the history of EIBF and exclusive breastfeeding among mothers, with a contingency coefficient value of 0.597. To implement EIBF, midwives must continue to promote pregnant mothers’ health.
