Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to identify and acquire the necessary information regarding the work effort in improving employee's job performance. The research was conducted at Universitas Negeri Padang in October 2022. The method is a survey with a questionnaire as a tool for data collection. This research included 40 employees as a unit analysis. The data is analyzed using a descriptive approach. The results indicate that Universitas Negeri Padang employees have high work effort and performance. Those findings show that high work effort has affected employees' performance at Universitas Negeri Padang. Therefore, the employee's job performance should be kept by giving rewards. It should be put into the account of maintaining employees at Universitas Negeri Padang.

Abstract

This paper aims examine the strategy of preserving local culture in the South Coast to reduce the onslaught of globalization on the economy and the cultural industry. Seeing an effective strategy for developing cultural tourism based on a sense of creativity. First, identify the important factors that influence physical culture and entities by using factor and cluster analysis. Second, apply the expert's choice to implement the strategy. concluded that an important factor in cultural preservation is introducing Minang environmental culture to the community from an early age, reviving ritual traditions and preserving traditional dance and music. Third, it can be an important reference for the development of cultural tourism. An important policy is to provide cognitive, affective and conative education to the community and revive the local Pesisir Selatan culture.

Abstract

Education and Science is a unit that is needed by everyone to broaden their thinking. Language is a sound or speech symbolization system in human daily communication. For humans, there are two roles that language has, namely as a medium of thought and as a medium of communication. The thinking process cannot be separated from language mastery because humans think through language symbols. Human thoughts and ideas are very important to convey to others. Good communication must use good media as well. Language plays an important role in the development of knowledge, especially as a medium of thought and a medium of communication. Language should be able to explain and represent the symbolism of a concept in science itself. Vocabulary is the treasure of a language, especially those that are closely related to messages that connote thoughts. The preparation of this analysis uses a term known as a literature review study or literature review from various scientific journals and Google Scholar to obtain relevant journal articles. The aim of this type of research is to incorporate relevant theory and ongoing or previously unknown issues as building blocks for the analysis of research results. Seeing the interconnectedness of the sources for this theoretical study, it can be concluded that language has a very important role in the application of knowledge, because language itself has a very close attachment/relationship with the mind. Language is a medium of thinking and a medium of human communication.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini pertama, menemukan gagasan baru, kedua mengimplementasikan ide-ide baru, ketiga keteladanan, keempat menjalin hubungan harmonis dengan lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru di sekolah menengah kejuruan negeri se-kabupaten padang pariaman dengan jumlah 221 orang guru. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 75 orang guru dengan teknik Stratified Random Sampling. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket dalam bentuk Skala Likert yang sudah diuji coba untuk mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu rumus rata-rata (mean), yang menghasilkan data; 1) memiliki gagasan baru berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,22, 2) mengimplementasikan gagasan baru berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,15, 3) keteladanan berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,31, 4) menjalin hubungan harmonis dengan lingkungan berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4, 37. Kesimpulan keseluruhan peran kepala sekolah sebagai inovator di SMKN se-kabupaten padang pariaman menurut persepsi guru berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 4,24.

Abstract

The population is 108 employees at the Padang City Education Office. The size of the sample is 67 people taken by using proportional random sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire formulated in the form of a Likert scale, the data was processed with averages and percentages. The results showed that the work commitment of the Padang City Education Office employees was in the moderate category with a percentage of 74.71%. Details of employee work commitment based on indicators, are: 1) responsibility in the sufficient category (79.07%), 2) loyalty in the sufficient category (69.33%), 3) involvement (participation in activities) in the sufficient category (67.87%), 4) the awareness to work is in the sufficient category (78.00%) too, and 5) the feeling of identification is in the sufficient category (79.27%).Keywords: Work Commitment, Implementation of TasksĀ Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat komitmen kerja pegawai dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Abstract

Based on pre - survey in field drawn that the performance of state junior high school teachers in the city of Padang is still not optimal. this suspected there is relation with training and facilities. By because that need conducted study to test the truth. This study aims to reveal the influence of training and infrastructure facilities on teacher performance in public junior high schools in Padang City. The hypotheses proposed in this study are: (1) training has an effect on teacher performance, (2) infrastructure has an effect on teacher performance, (3) training and infrastructure in a manner together influences teacher performance. The population in this study is all junior high school teachers in the city of Padang, a total of 1,099 people from 11 districts. The sample study amounted to 63 people taken with technique proportionate stratified random sampling which had previously been carried out by clusters in 1 sub-district, namely West Padang District. The research instrument used is a scale evaluation and scale model questionnaire Likert that has tested its validity and reliability. Research data analyzed with multiple linear regression technique. The results of the data analysis show that: (1) training has a significant effect on teacher performance. This can be seen from the acquisition of t-count (2.645) > t-table (1.670) other than that it has a significant value = 0.005 <0.05, (2) infrastructure has a significant effect on teacher performance. This can be seen from the acquisition of t-count (2.827) > t-table (1.670) besides that it has a significant value = 0.006 <0.05 , (3) there is a significant effect of training and infrastructure together on teacher performance with a level a significant value of 0.000 <0.050 and with an f-count value of 434.822. The level of achievement of the teacher's response to training is in the high category (89.39% of the ideal score), the infrastructure variable is in the good category (84.80% of the ideal score) and the teacher'. The findings above imply that training and infrastructure are two factors that can improve teacher performance, apart from other factors

Abstract

Skripsi menjadi salah satu penyebab bagi mahasiswa mengalami kemunduran dalam menyelesaikan masa studinya dengan tepat waktu. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya yaitu prokrastinasi akademik dalam mengerjakan skripsi. Langkah preventif agar mahasiswa tidak memiliki prokrastinasi akademik yang tinggi yaitu dengan menanamkan kepribadian hardiness dan meningkatkan karakter grit pada diri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi academic hardiness dan grit terhadap prokrastinasi akademik yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 183 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala prokrastinasi akademik dari Saputri (2023), skala academic hardiness dari Putri (2014), dan skala grit dari (Wahyudi, 2023). Berdasarkan hasil uji psikometrik, ketiga alat ukur memiliki validitas dan realibilitas yang baik. Hasil penelitian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa academic hardiness dan grit masing-masing berkontribusi secara negatif terhadap prokrastinasi akademik. Secara simultan diperoleh bahwa academic hardiness dan grit secara bersamaan berkontribusi secara negatif sebesar 34,1% terhadap prokrastinasi akademik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil pengamatan peneliti tentang kepemimpinan instructional kepala sekolah dalam mengelola program pembelajaran yang kurang maksimal. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh data dan informasi mengenai persepsi guru terhadap kepemimpinan instructional kepala sekolah dalam mengelola program pembelajaran di SMK se-Kecamatan Pasaman dilihat dari 1) supervisi pembelajaran, 2) menjalin hubungan harmonis, 3) mengkoordinasikan kurikulum, 4) memantau kemajuan siswa. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 108 orang guru, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan stratified random sampling yang berjumlah 52 orang guru. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan model skala Likert, teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus rata-rata (mean). Angket telah diuji validitas dengan rho hitung 0,896 besar dari rho tabel 0,450 pada N= 20 diperoleh 48 item dinyatakan valid dan 2 item dinyatakan tidak valid. Reliabilitas angket dengan rho hitung 0,990 besar dari rho tabel 0,444. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru terhadap kepemimpinan instructional kepala sekolah dalam mengelola program pembelajaran di SMK se-Kecamatan Pasaman dalam hal: 1) supervisi pembelajaran pada kriteria mampu dengan skor rata-rata 4,5, 2) menjalin hubungan harmonis pada kriteria mampu dengan skor rata-rata 4,5, 3) mengkoordinasikan kurikulum pada kriteria mampu dengan skor rata-rata 4,4, 4) memantau kemajuan siswa pada kriteria mampu dengan skor rata-rata 4,4. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan kepemimpinan instructional kepala sekolah dalam mengelola program pembelajaran berada pada kriteria mampu dengan skor rata-rata 4,4. Walaupun demikian, sangat diperlukan berbagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kepemimpinan instructional kepala sekolah dalam mengelola program pembelajaran untuk mempermudah memajukan dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

This research is based on the author's observation regarding the influence of principal's transformational leadership and work motivation on teacher innovation at state elementary schools in Bukittinggi city which shows that the principal's transformational leadership is still not good, work motivation and teacher innovation are still low. The purpose of this study was to obtain data and information about (1) The influence of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher innovation at state elementary school in Bukittinggi City, (2) The influence of work motivation on teacher innovation at state elementary school in Bukittinggi City, and (3) The influence of the principal's transformational leadership and work motivation on teacher innovation at state elementary school in Bukittinggi City. This research is a correlational quantitative research with associative type. The population consisted of PNS teachers at state elementary school in Bukittinggi City, amounting to 433 people. The research sample amounted to 148 people who were taken with the Stratified Proportional Random Sampling technique, taking into account the level of education, the strata of the service period and rank/class. The research instrument used is a rating scale and a Liket Scale questionnaire which has 5 alternative answers. Before the questionnaire was used, trials were carried out to determine validity and reliability. Furthermore, the research data was analyzed with the average score (Mean) for data description, test requirements such as normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test and multicollinearity test. The results of data analysis show that: (1) principal's transformational leadership influences teacher innovation by 17.9%, (2) work motivation influences teacher innovation by 33.9%, and (3) principal's transformational leadership and work motivation together influence to teacher innovation by 36.1%. The level of achievement of teacher innovation 82.15% of the ideal score is in the high category, for principal's transformational leadership 91.12% of the ideal score is in the very good category and teacher work motivation 91.51% of the ideal score is in the very high category. The results of this research above imply that the principal's transformational leadership and work motivation are two factors that can improve teacher innovation in addition to other factors.
