Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of exit permit restrictions for students at the STIBA Makassar male dormitory and analyze it through the lens of the uṣūl fiqh principle of sadd al-żarī‘ah. The research responds to the contemporary challenge of character decline among youth, for which the boarding school system is seen as a strategic solution. The exit permit policy is part of efforts to enhance student character development. Using a qualitative field research method with Normative, uṣūl fiqh, and case study approaches, data were collected through interviews, observation, and analysis of both classical Islamic sources and modern literature. The findings show that the restriction is outlined in the Student Code of Ethics and categorized into three levels: absolute restriction, conditional permission, and unconditional permission. However, violations have been identified, including misuse of permits for activities that contradict Islamic values, exceeding the permitted time limits, and unauthorized methods of leaving the dormitory such as falsifying documents or climbing over fences. From the perspective of the uṣūl fiqh principle of sadd al-żarī‘ah, the policy is considered appropriate as a preventive measure to close the pathways that may lead to moral, academic, and disciplinary harm. It is viewed as a means of protecting student well-being and supporting the success of character formation within the dormitory environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan vlog sebagai media asesmen formatif pada pembelajaran P5 dan IPA di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Urgensi penelitian ini didasari oleh tantangan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang menuntut peralihan dari asesmen tradisional menuju asesmen autentik yang berpusat pada siswa, namun di lapangan guru masih sering terjebak pada metode penilaian konvensional yang kurang mampu memotret perkembangan karakter dan keterampilan abad ke-21 secara komprehensif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan observasi proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagai instrumen asesmen formatif di sekolah dasar, penggunaan vlog efektif dalam memantau perkembangan belajar siswa secara berkelanjutan (on-going assessment). Vlog memungkinkan guru memberikan umpan balik yang lebih personal dan mendalam terhadap pemahaman konsep, kreativitas, serta keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang sulit terukur melalui tes tertulis. Selain itu, vlog mendorong internalisasi profil pelajar Pancasila melalui penilaian aspek sosial-emosional seperti tanggung jawab dan kerja sama selama proses pembuatan karya. Kendala utama yang ditemukan adalah keterbatasan sarana teknologi dan kompetensi digital guru dalam mengelola umpan balik berbasis digital. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa vlog merupakan solusi asesmen formatif inovatif yang selaras dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka. Rekomendasi yang diajukan meliputi pelatihan khusus bagi guru mengenai teknik penilaian berbasis video (rubrik vlog) serta peningkatan dukungan fasilitas teknologi sekolah.

Abstract

This study examines the semantic meaning of the term tarbiyah and its various derivatives in the Prophetic hadith, as well as their implications for the concepts of Islamic education and learning. Although the term tarbiyah has been widely employed in contemporary Islamic educational discourse, prevailing interpretations often rely primarily on terminological definitions without tracing its lexical and contextual semantic structures within hadith as an authoritative primary source of Islam. This study aims to analyze the etymological roots, derivative forms, and semantic expansions of tarbiyah in hadith, including verbal forms such as tarubbu, yurabbī, yarubbānī, and the expression yurabbī al-nās, as well as nominal forms such as rabb, rabbuhā, and rabbāniyyīn. The research adopts a library-based qualitative approach, employing semantic-linguistic analysis and the taḥlīlī method to examine relevant hadith texts. The findings reveal that the concept of tarbiyah in hadith encompasses six core meanings: (1) preservation and care (ḥifẓ wa riʿāyah), (2) management and development (tanmiyah wa ṣiyānah), (3) education and instruction (taʿlīm wa taʾdīb), (4) guidance and leadership (taujīh wa siyādah), (5) perfection and cultivation (takmīl wa inhmāk), and (6) gradual educational development (tadarruj fī al-taʿlīm). These findings affirm that tarbiyah in hadith is not merely cognitive in nature but represents a comprehensive process that progressively nurtures human potential toward moral and ethical perfection. This study contributes to strengthening the conceptual foundations of Islamic education by restoring the meaning of tarbiyah to its semantic roots and prophetic praxis.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 merupakan penyakit metabolik kronis yang ditandai oleh peningkatan kadar glukosa darah akibat resistensi insulin atau gangguan sekresi insulin. Penggunaan obat antidiabetes secara konvensional sering menimbulkan efek samping dan memerlukan dukungan terapi tambahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas terapi komplementer dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah pada pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Sebanyak 85 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi diikutsertakan dari total 93 pasien menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan rekam medis, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Shapiro-Wilk, Levene, dan ANOVA. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh terapi komplementer, yaitu herbal, hipnoterapi, dan yoga, menurunkan kadar gula darah secara signifikan (p < 0,05). Penurunan tertinggi terjadi pada terapi herbal dengan rata-rata penurunan sebesar 35 mg/dL. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, sehingga analisis statistik valid. Secara keseluruhan, terapi komplementer terbukti berperan positif dalam membantu pengendalian kadar gula darah, serta berpotensi menjadi bagian dari strategi manajemen holistik pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2.

Abstract

The low conceptual understanding of elementary school students towards geometry, especially cube and block materials, remains a challenge for learning basic mathematics. This condition is exacerbated by predominantly conventional learning practices, a lack of context, and a lack of responsiveness to the diversity of student characteristics, including in inclusive classes. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of adaptive learning media grounded in  (RME) in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes. The research used a Research and Development (R and D) approach, employing the ADDIE model, combined with a quasi-experimental design with a non-peer control group. The study involved grade V students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in rural and urban areas, including students with disabilities. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (t-tests). The results of the study show that RME-based adaptive learning media are declared valid and practical, and significantly more effective than conventional learning. These findings suggest that integrating adaptive media can strengthen the implementation of RME and support contextual, inclusive, and evidence-based geometry learning.
