Abstract

This research is a study of international political economy analysis  on development cooperation between Canada and Indonesia which has been going on for a long time. However, in 2015 a Canadian-Indonesian collaborative project emphasized the role of Indonesian SMEs in gender equality. This project is called the Trade Private Sector Assistance (TPSA) Project, which is Canada's provision of foreign aid to Indonesia. So, this research was conducted to see Canada's background in assisting Indonesia in the form of the TPSA Project and what was produced and achieved from the provision of foreign aid.This study uses the perspective of liberalism, foreign aid theory, the concept of national interest and the level of analysis of the nation state. The research method that is used is the qualitative research that is explanative by collecting data from the official website of the TPSA Project, the website of the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Global Affairs Canada) and the Ministry of Trade, Transnational Journal, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of World Affairs and Introduction to International Relations Studies, Foreign Aid: Diplomacy, Development, Domestic Politics and International Political Economy and Development books.The results of this study are that Canada has economic and political benefits in Indonesia, namely strengthening Canada's contribution towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Indonesian SMEs can meet Canadian import standards for products exported by Indonesian SMEs and expand the Canadian market in Indonesia, thereby increasing Canada's trade with Indonesia and Canada spread its values in the form of aspects of gender equality in Indonesian SMEs and a positive image of Canada in Indonesia and the world.  Keywords        : National Interest, Foreign Aid, Private Sector Development, Gender Equality, TPSA Project, Canada and Indonesia.

Abstract

Political and economic rerform in Myanmar during the regimeof President U Thein Sein year 2011-2013. The research aims to determine why the government of U Thein Sein do the political and economic reform in Myanmar, and to know the efforts to realize it. The hypothesis of the research that the reform conducted because of the authoritarian government, the lack of enforcement in human right, the weak and unstable economy, and the lack of labor freedom and press. This research used qualitative research methods with explanation analysis methods. Data collection techniques used are library research techniques. Based on the data obtained by the researchers that the government of President U Thein Sein have big influence in doing the political and economic reform in Myanmar and creating more democratic country. The things that have been realized in the field of politics are enforcement of human right, cabinet reshuffle, abolition of media cencorship, freedom of speech and association for labor, and release of political prisoners. In the economy field, there are economic liberalization and legal guarantees for foreign investors.Key Word: Myanmar, Reform, Democracy, Economy, Political

Abstract

This research describes the culture diplomacy of Japan toward Indonesia in Japan Indonesia Partnership Agreement in 2012-2015. Culture diplomacy in Japan that was famous in world are cosplay and pop culture. Japan was held World Cosplay Summit in 2000 to another state that have purspose to known the japans culture to the world.The research method used was a qualitative with descriptive as a technic of the research. Writer collects data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and websites to analyze the culture diplomacy of Japan toward Indonesia in Japan Indonesia Partnership Agreement. The theories applied in this research are realism perspective with culture diplomacy theory.The conclusion research about the culture diplomacy of Japan toward Indonesia in Japan Indonesia Partnership Agreement are was done by Japan with held of World Costplay Summit event in 2014, increase of investation of japans culinary in Indonesia and also make culture of Japans was famous in Indonesia..Key words: culture, diplomacy, partnership and agreement.

Abstract

This research analyzes the role of Indonesia’s government, media and citizen oncultural diplomacy of Bono tidal bore, a newly developed international surfing tourism.Bono is located in Teluk Meranti village, Pelalawan regency, Riau province and offeringa special phenomenon that only available in four countries in the world. The promotionof Bono still fairly minimal since it just developed as a tourism region past few years.Like the other objects of cultural diplomacy such as Batik and Wayang, Bono tidal borewith all local tradition in the tourism region becomes new Indonesian cultural diplomacy.This case will be analyzed in state level of analysis within framework ofPerspective of Pluralist and Theory of Cultural Diplomacy. The theories explains thatnon-state actor have significant role in international politics including practice ofdiplomacy. Cultural diplomacy means all form of culture becomes instrument and alsoobject of diplomacy, mainly by state, as part of soft power and to gains the otheradvantageIndonesia rich of cultural products and needs cultural diplomacy to promote themto international society. The purpose can be international recognition and sertification,increasing tourist visits, and promotes the exellences of Indonesian. Abstract

This research explain about Impact of International Tripartite Rubber Council policy in limiting rubber export quota to Indonesian economy limiting export quotas and rubber production during October 2012 until March 2013. The implementation of quota restrictions aims to increase the price of natural rubber that has dropped dramatically since December 2010.In this research the authors use the perspective of pluralism. International Relations is a study of the interaction between several actors participating in international politics that include countries, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, sub-national entities such as bureaucracy and the domestic government as well as individuals. Given the pluralist perspective that has been put forward, the level of analysis used by the author is the level of group behavior analysis. In this study the authors use the theory of international organizations. International organizations in the economic field that can be defined as a sustainable formal structure whose formation is based on agreements between its members (government and non-government) from two or more sovereign states with the aim of achieving the common goals of its members. It can be concluded from this research that the impact of International Tripartite Rubber Council's is not able to increase long-term rubber price, rubber price can only increase when the policy is running because of low demand of export destination country.Keywords : ITRC (International Tripartite Rubber Council), Natural Rubber, Quota restrictions, Increase the price of rubber

Abstract

This study is a contemporary study that discusses the efforts of Non-Governmental Organizations in the European Union in dealing with honor killings in their country especially in Germany. Honour killing is a phenomenon that occurs in the patriarchal family where a group of men killing their female children or women in the family who is deemed to have brought shame and ruin the family honor. Forms of honor killing is varied, either by being killed, burnt or tortured to death. This action is considered to restore the value of the honor that has been broken, and to strengthen the role of the man in control of his family. Because in the family and the woman is not entitled to refuse anything. This act have occurred in various parts of the world, including European Union. Where the perpetrators of honor killing is mostly derived from groups of migrants that came from Turkey, Pakistan and Kurdish. Type of this research is descriptive analysis. The writer try to describe and explain about NGOs‟s role in solving honour killing which occurred in all over European Union‟s country.The phenomenon of honour killing was motivated by a variety motives, such as refusing arranged marriages, asking for divorce, and being too western, and demands her freedom. Overall, this research is about how NGOs can reduce an honour killing act and keep the security for women, especially for women‟s right.Keywords: Honour killing, NGOs, Women, Violence.

Abstract

This research review Turkey eforts become permanent member of the shanghai cooperation organization (SCO) Turkey's interests colected with shanghai cooperationor ganization (SCO) began in 2011. First colected of Turkey in SCO becomingTurkey decided as partners dialogue in the SCO in 2011. Turkey has interests in the SCO in Military and economic. For the limited Turkey role in the SCO becoming Turkey is efforting to increase status of Tukey become permanent member of the SCO, in the prime minister of Recep Tayyib Erdogan. Colected in the SCO is one of startegic Politic Turkey that include military and economic. After selected President Edorgan as head of the Turkey Goverment, trend of Turkey foreign politic begin to the Asia. Add with obscurity status of Turkey in The Europe union to motivate Edorgan for choosing to colected as member of the Shanghai cooperation Organization. This research has theoretically been build using the neorealis perspective, this type of research is qualitative research. Data prsesented on secondary data through literature studies such as books, internet and other.The result of this reseach is Turkey efrots become permanent member in the SCO by doing negotiation and participate in the SCO. Turkey to submit an application for membership became obeserver state in 2013. In Conferensi pers in st.petersburg, prime minister Edorgan to ask president Vladimir Putin to enter Turkey as legitimate member SCO. Then, Turkey has showed their work with bilateral relation and collaboration with the state of member SCO. In security, Turkey has taken part of practice anti teror, Kasygurt antiteror 2013 was implemented in Kazakhstan. Abstract

In February 2010, China announced placed tarrif on broiler chicken product from the United States. China claims that U.S has been unfairly flooding the China markets with cheap broiler chicken product, so that impact to China jobs and China unions. Many criticized the tariffs as a protectionist move by the China, because in recent years, the United States placed tariffs on one China infant industry with same reason. The focus of this research is to analyze the real motif China placed tariff on broiler chicken product from U.S. Are this have any reason connected to U.S placed tarif on China infant industry. This research uses Politic Economy Theory related to International Trade theory which has been revealed by Heckscher-Ohlin This research is Qualitative research which is used by library observation.The result of this research prove that there’sno relevant reason owned China to impose of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on U.S broiler chicken product. In four meeting in the WTO DSB Panel, declared victory for the U.S, as well as announced that all the Chine data and evidence is a mistaken.Keywords: Anti-Dumping, Broiler Chicken, Countervailing Duties.

Abstract

This research explains about Japan and North Korea have unstable relation caused by history aspect. This thing was caused every country try to strengthen their security. Japan increased and kept its security with using Missile Air Defense. The enhancement analogously with increasing of device and fund of Japan military. This research will examine Japan Policy in Facing the Threat of North Korea Missile in 2012-2017.The method that used in this research is qualitative method with data source from library research. The theory is defensive neo-realism by Kenneth Waltz, that is for focusing how anarchy world can influence countries to increase the capability of their country. The concept is security dilemma by John Herz.This research shows that North Korea had done nuclear experiment that had crossed over the sea of Japan. This experiment had been done at the number of five times and the last one at 2017. This is the reason of Japan to increase the Missile Air Defense, that is to have strong security on threating from North Korea. Abstract

The methodology of this research was used contemporary study which analysed about efforts which had done by international governmental organization of Smile Train to overcome the problems of harelip in Indonesia. The harelip as a physical defect which was a load born handicap that most happened in develop countries that millions children were suffered as harelip that they could not speak and eat properly. Jagged was happened while middle soft net could not firmly united while the fetus still in process of develop. Jagged can be involved mouth, palates of mouth and soft net at the back mouth of children that they were suffered physically and psychologically. Although many children who were suffered as harelip could not be tackled such as harelip treatment and surgical operation. This was happened because economy factor, poverty factor also uneducated or a little knowledge as well as wrong information about birth with the cleft lip. This research used conceptual background related to International organization of analysis level, this organization has many members from different countries in the world and supporting with theory of actor and analysis level of international organization, this concept directed to qualitative method and librarian research as information resources. Many efforts have done by NGO Smile Train in Indonesia, through medical procedure and therapy, such as free operation of harelip, oral therapy and medical care around mouth and teeth. Through endeavor program to local doctors such as training for profession of medical workers, by supporting medical stuffs and technology, by supporting local communities program, by giving education to the people, and looking for people who were suffered harelip in the remote places, Indonesia and giving financial to the people who were suffered harelip.Keywords: Jagged, Harelip, Smile Train, Effort, Program
