Abstract

Hinduism with all its uniqueness basically cannot be separated from acara as a part of the Tri Framework for Hindu Religion, as well as the use of ceremonial facilities as a medium to get closer to the Creator. One of the means of upakara that is often found in Hindu religious practice is the use of tumpeng. Tumpeng is one of the upakara ingredients in the shape of a cone made from rice. The higher the human mobility, the less time that can be devoted to the preparation of religious events. Things like this are ultimately used as business land. Like the current phenomenon, it is common to find the use of dried tumpeng in the manufacture of upakara. This type of tumpeng is usually very easy to find in the market and some are even traded online at very affordable prices. Apart from being cheap, the tumpeng dries up a solution for Hindus who do not have enough time to make this upakara. Keywords: Tumpeng, Upakara, Hindu, Bali

Abstract

Pramana or the way to observe or know knowledge is a method used to find truth in the Hindu tradition. Pramana is divided into 3 parts commonly referred to as Tri Pramana, namely Pratyaksa Prana or direct observation giving us knowledge about objects according to their respective circumstances. Anumana Pramana seeks the truth based on 5 (five) things, namely 1) Pratijana, namely introducing the object of the problem about the truth of observation, 2) Hetu, namely the reason for deviation, 3) Udaharana, which connects with the general rules about a problem, 4) Upanaya, namely the use of rules The general is in the fact that seen, and 5) Nigama, in the form of correct and definite conclusions from all previous processes. Sources that are related to the problems faced are not valid or valid in their existence so that the sources that have a relationship are included to strengthen their opinions and help in drawing conclusions tobe analyzed in search of the true truth. The third Pramana is Upamana Pramana is a way of observing by comparing the similarities that may occur or are contained in objects observed with objects that already exist or have been known. This comparison is used as a helper and complementary in the analysis process and draws a conclusion from the problem at hand.

Abstract

Abstract

The term "God" is a term taken from the realm of religion and theology. However, in the early development of philosophy, philosophy can never be released from contact to religious areas. This can be seen from the philosophy itself that was born from a change in human habits that explain realities with the help of myths and mythology. These myths and mythologies are an essential part of Ancient Greek religion. Then along with the development of knowledge, humans begin to explain phenomena or reality by using reasoning where this transition is called Philosophy. The philosophy of God itself is a branch of philosophy whose object of study is "God" or various things concerning the appreciation of God. The investigation about God is something interesting to many philosophers. One of them is Plato. Plato was one of the western philosophers who were students of Socrates. Plato's thought about philosophy of God was an attempt to reform the concept of the God found in ancient Greek society. In his view of the God, Plato's thoughts have a common thread with the concept of God in Hinduism. Therefore, this is interesting to study. By using descriptive methods, this paper will systematically describe the philosophy of God according to Plato's thoughts from a Hindu point of view.
