Abstract

High demand for performance provokes burnout among teaching accountants. As educators, teaching accountants must fulfill three pillars of higher education: educating students, doing research and community service. As professionals, teaching accountants may have a role as auditor or holding a structural position in the university. This study examines resilience as a mediator between work overload and burnout. This study used voluntary sampling and the questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. Seventy-one questionnaires have been received and are amenable to analysis using Smart PLS 4. The testing phase commences with descriptive statistics and quality tests of the instruments, including validity and reliability, before advancing to structural model testing. The findings reveal that work overload exerts a positive impact on job burnout. Furthermore, resilience has been substantiated as a mediator between work overload and job burnout.

Abstract

Domestic violence is a national issue that shows an increasing trend in cases from year to year. This study aims to empirically test the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioural Group Therapy in reducing depression in female survivors of domestic violence. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test control group design model. The number of respondents in this study was 16 participants, divided into eight respondents in the experimental group and eight respondents in the control group. The experimental group (n = 8) received Cognitive Behavioural Group Therapy intervention, while the control group (n = 8) was on the intervention waiting list. The level of depression was measured by the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) before the intervention, after the intervention, and two weeks after the post-intervention follow-up. The results of the analysis with the independent sample t-test showed a significant difference in the mean depression score between the control and experimental groups in the post-test phase (after being given Cognitive Behavioural Group Therapy), with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05). In conclusion, this research proves that Cognitive Behavioural Group Therapy is effective in reducing depression in female survivors of domestic violence. Cognitive Behavioural Group Therapy interventions have an impact on depression levels even after the intervention sessions have ended (as evidenced by the measurement of depression scores in the follow-up sessions). Keyword : Cognitive Behavioral Group Therapy; depression; domestic violence survivors.

Abstract

Early childhood education educators have a role in shaping children's character from an early age. Early childhood is in a golden age where the role of parents, teachers, and the surrounding environment is needed to support the growth and development of children. In reality, in the process of educating children at school, children are not ready to be separated from their parents, children become tantrums and are not cooperative in learning, even differences in how to educate children between parents and educators cause their own problems. Differences of opinion between educators, as well as the increasing administrative burden of educators, cause educators to experience various difficulties that affect their duties, roles, and responsibilities as educators. This community service activity aims to provide adversity quotient training to early childhood education educators with the hope that the results of the training can help educators be more resilient in dealing with various problems faced. The training method is carried out by giving lectures, ice breaking, and providing pretests and posttests to training participants. The results of the analysis of adversity quotient training activities through the Wilcoxon T-test showed that 50 data (N = 50) showed that the post-test value was greater than the pre-test value, with a mean rank of 25.50 and a sum of ranks of 1275.00 with a Z value of -6.187 (p 0.000). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the training that was carried out effectively contributed to increasing participant understanding, considering that the post-test score was higher than the pre-test. Through this activity, participants have a better understanding that every problem has a solution and therefore the ability to survive in difficult situations and remain enthusiastic about finding solutions through various means is needed, even making difficulties an opportunity to overcome problems as well as possible.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service (PkM) is to provide Mindfulness training to ANANDA PAUD teachers in RW.19 to improve their understanding of themselves regarding their physical and psychological well-being. Mindfulness training is a meditation method used to increase empathy both affectively, cognitively, morally, intrapersonally and interpersonally. The many activities and activities of teachers both at school and at home make teachers feel very tired. Teachers often feel dizzy, physically tired and lack focus on the teaching given. To prevent these things from continuing, the PkM team of the psychology faculty provides assistance to teachers by holding Mindfulness training which aims to maintain the mental state of teachers from the pressures that arise both at work and brought from home. The lack of understanding and self-skills possessed by the teachers makes them just resigned in carrying out their daily activities. This input prompted the PkM team to help find solutions for developing the self-skills of ANANDA PAUD teachers through Mindfulness Training. The process involved gathering the teachers in the RT.01 hall and providing them with materials to understand and practice Mindfulness, including lectures, stories, and practical exercises, as well as games and group discussions. The community service team hopes that these teachers will be able to understand the results of the training. This increased understanding of Mindfulness will improve their ability to focus and better understand themselves and their surroundings, enabling them to overcome all the challenges and obstacles that arise in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Resource Development and Installation (RDI) technique to reduce symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in female victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence (which falls under the category of intimate partner violence/IPV) is a global public health problem that contributes significantly to women's mental health disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Recent systematic evidence shows a strong association between various forms of IPV and adverse mental health outcomes in women, with large variations in prevalence across contexts. Resource Development and Installation (RDI) is a psychological stabilization procedure within EMDR aimed at generating positive resources in individuals exposed to traumatic experiences. The research method used in this study was multiple baseline with a single case (single case research), namely research conducted on subjects with the aim of determining the magnitude of the effect of treatment given repeatedly over a certain period. This study involved three adult female participants who experienced trauma symptoms due to violence perpetrated by an intimate partner in a domestic context. The data analysis technique used in this study was visual inspection by comparing changes in trauma scores in respondents between the baseline and intervention phases. Trauma symptoms were measured using the Harvard Trauma Questionnaire (HTQ). There was a decrease in HTQ scores from an average of 2.9 (presence of PTSD symptoms) before the intervention to 2.1 (minimal). Resources Development and Installation were effective in reducing trauma symptoms in female victims of violence. This was evident in the decrease in trauma symptom scores between before and after the provision of Resources Development and Installation to female victims of violence.

Abstract

The goal of this community service (PkM) program is to provide Emotion Management training to the PKK mothers to enhance their understanding of the importance of self-compassion related to emotions, in order to support physical and mental health. The training includes relaxation techniques, effective communication, and problem-solving that help individuals manage their emotions in daily interactions. Relaxation techniques are used to improve subjective well-being and promote a healthy lifestyle that benefits both themselves and their environment. Most of the PKK mothers in RT.02/RW.05 of Kelurahan Gemah are housewives who face pressures from family and social environments. Emotional management is crucial to prevent negative impacts on mental health, which can affect both the family and the community. Therefore, the PkM team from the Faculty of Psychology conducts training to help the mothers manage their emotions. The training activities include lectures, storytelling, games, and discussions. As a result, there was a 40% improvement in their understanding of emotion management. Through this training, it is hoped that the mothers will find it easier to control their emotions, focus, and better understand themselves and their environment, thus enabling them to overcome challenges in their daily lives.
