Abstract

Dewasa ini, teknologi informasi yang praktis dan efisien sangatlah dibutuhkan. Jaringan ad hoc merupakan teknologi wireless LAN (WLAN) yang tidak membutuhkan suatu infrastruktur seperti base station pada jaringannya. Akan tetapi, teknologi wireless sering kali memiliki keterbatasan resource. Standar IEEE 802.11ah didesain untuk bekerja pada frekuensi sub – 1 GHz, jangkauan transmisinya mencapai 1 Km, konsumsi daya yang rendah, serta dapat melayani ribuan station untuk sebuah access point. Pada penelitian ini telah membandingkan protokol routing DSDV dan OLSR pada standar IEEE 802.11ah dengan menggunakan NS 3. Sedangkan parameter perbandingan yang digunakan adalah throughput, packet delivery ratio, rata – rata delay, dan konsumsi energi. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapat, protokol routing OLSR memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik dibandingkan protokol routing DSDV pada skenario perubahan kecepatan. Nilai rata – rata throughput untuk OLSR adalah 28400 Bps sedangkan untuk DSDV adalah 2934 Bps. Nilai rata – rata PDR untuk OLSR adalah 14,582 % sedangkan untuk DSDV adalah 2,7 %. Nilai rata – rata delay untuk OLSR adalah 0,04453994 s sedangkan untuk DSDV adalah 0,6261986 s. Sedangkan rasio perbandingan untuk konsumsi energi antara protokol routing OLSR dan DSDV adalah 1,48 % untuk skenario perubahan kecepatan.

Abstract

Virtualisasi berjalan diatas suatu hypervisor yang merupakan suatu program untuk membuat dan menjalankan virtual machine. Hypervisor mengatur sejumlah resources hardware seperti RAM, CPU, dan storage yang dimiliki hardware aslinya untuk digunakan bersama-sama dengan virtual environment. Salah satu implementasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan dengan adanya virtualisasi adalah Network Function Virtualization atau yang biasa disebut NFV. Konsep ini memanfaatkan teknik virtualisasi untuk membuat suatu Virtualized Network Function (VNF) yang memiliki fungsi sama dengan network device aslinya. Salah satu VNF yang dapat digunakan secara bebas adalah VyOS. VyOS merupakan sistem operasi jaringan berbasis open source yang memiliki fungsi seperti hardware router tradicional, firewall. VPN, proxy dan fungsi jaringan lainnya. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian performansi VyOS pada bare-metal hypervisor (XEN, VMware ESXi) dan hosted hypervisor (Kernel-based Virtual Machine atau KVM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja dari ketiga hypervisor tersebut dalam menjalankan VNF dengan parameter throughput, dan parameter skalabilitas. Dari hasil pengujian dan análisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa KVM memiliki performansi kecepatan tertinggi dengan besar throughput 19.29 GB/s. Sedangkan untuk parameter skalabilitas, VMware memiliki skalabilitas yang sangat baik yang ditunjukkan dengan kecilnya degradasi performansi pada throughput saat menjalankan banyak VNF daripada XEN dan KVM.

Abstract

Meningkaatnya kebutuhan dan permintaan layanan yang beragam oleh user untuk dapat bertukar dan mendapatkan informasi secara real time, reliable, dan fleksibel menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh teknologi komunikasi yang ada saat ini. WLAN pada standar IEEE 802.11 merupakan salah satu teknologi wireless yang dapat menjadi solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Memiliki cakupan area komunikasi yang tidak terlalu luas, yaitu antara 20-70 meter saja, hanya mampu melayani hingga 2007 stasiun, dan memiliki konsumsi energi yang cukup besar, menyebabkan beberapa sistem yang terdapat pada WLAN pada standar IEEE 802.11 kurang bekerja secara maksimal. Dengan beberapa kekurangan tersebut, maka WLAN pada standar IEEE 802.11 mengenalkan task group baru yang disebut IEEE 802.11ah. IEEE 802.11ah adalah standar WLAN baru yang bekerja pada spektrum frekuensi 900 MHz, cakupan area komunikasi yang mencapai 1 kilometer, mampu melayani 8192 stasiun dengan hierarki AID yang baru, memiliki konsumsi energi yang lebih rendah dan mampu meningkatkan nilai throughput dengan mekanisme RAW. Penelitian ini melakukan perubahan jumlah RAW slot pada IEEE 802.11ah untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap performansi jaringan. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa perubahan jumlah RAW slot berpengaruh terhadap performansi jaringan, dalam hal ini adalah throughput, average delay, packet delivery ratio, dan energy consumption.

Abstract

On this research, Internet of Things (IoT) as an advanced technology is used to monitor the height of trash from a trash can in order to give notification whether the height of trash is already reaching the maximum height limit or not. To support those needs, we used NodeMCU as a microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor, MQTT as IoT protocol, and Android to display the data. After we did the system performance test, we had the biggest result of end-to-end delay which was 2.06875 seconds when the packet delivery was set to 1000 ms with 3 active nodes and the smallest result of end-to-end delay which was 0.26055 seconds when the packet delivery was set to 100 ms with 1 active node. The biggest result of throughput was 597.17 Bytes/s when the packet delivery was set to 100 ms with 1 active node and the smallest result of throughput was 75.86 Bytes/s when the packet delivery was set to 1000 ms with 3 active nodes. The biggest result of availability and reliability was 99.905% when the packet delivery was set to 1000 ms and the smallest result was 99.833% when the packet delivery was set to 100 ms.

Abstract

Entering the information era, the current needs of the global community is increasing very rapidly. Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET) has drawn significant attention from both industry and academia as an important development of vehicular communication technology. VANET is one of open network and communication media without security mechanism. There are many kinds of security threat that can interrupt data communication in VANET. Wormhole attacks as one of security threat can be a good challenge in VANET security research. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the reactive routing protocol on VANET with wormhole attack scheme. The project is simulated using NS-3 in Ubuntu platform with performance analysis of routing protocol by changing initial power and node density. We conclude that throughput values are increasing along with the changing of initial power while the delay values are decreasing rapidly. By the changing of node density, the highest delay value is 0.122 ns on 10 nodes condition and 0.215 Mbps for throughput value on 8 nodes condition.

Abstract

The Aquaponic is a farming system which need attention because their system will mutually influence each other. Then using IoT technologies, can be made aquaponic that can automatically control and monitoring the aquaponic. The prototype using nodeMCU as a microcontroller, and for communication the system using MQTT protocol and android application as a user interface. The purpose of this research is to provide convenience for aquaponic user to be able to control remotely. In addition, this research aim is to analysis the QoS performance of the prototype. This research uses 2 scenario testing, there is with changing the distance between sensor nodes and access point, and testing the system in a normal state. Based on the results of the testing that has been done, the farther the distance range of the sensors node with access point then declining system performance. But in the normal state test, the median value of the mean delay was 0.10512s and the median value average throughput was 566 Bytes/s. In addition the median value also obtained the mean availability and realibility system that is 98.258% and 98.204%. Refers to the standard TIPHON (DTR/TIPHON-05001), the QoS performance of this system include excellent category.

Abstract

For decades, there have been significant interests in monitoring the aquatic environment for scientific exploration, commercial exploitation, coastline protection, and even disasters prevention and mitigation such as tsunami warnings. Highly precise, real-time, and temporal-spatial continuous aquatic environment monitoring system is extremely important for underwater life. To support and simulate such monitoring system, underwater sensor networks (UWSN) have emerged as a very powerful technique for many applications on underwater environment, including monitoring, measurement, surveillance, and control by using Aqua-Sim. Aqua-Sim is a simulator for UWSN developed on Network Simulator 2 platform which effectively simulates the attenuation of underwater acoustic channels and the collision behaviors in long delay acoustic networks. Currently, there are several routing protocols for UWSN which are implemented in Aqua-Sim. On this research, we did a simulation on Aqua-Sim by performing Vector-based Forwarding (VBF) protocol and Depth-based Routing (DBR) protocol performance analysis based on energy consumption parameter. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the VBF routing protocol requires more energy consumption than the DBR routing protocol.

Abstract

IEEE 802.11 standard is a WLAN (Wireless LAN) standard that has been used in all over the world. IEEE 802.11ah is the newer technology that designed to supports Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-machine Communication (M2M). IEEE 802.11ah has a feature called Restricted Access Window (RAW) that capable to reduce power usage and have satisfying Quality of Service (QoS). In this research, Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA) is also applied. Same as RAW, EDCA also be able to affect QoS by modified the MAC Layer in 802.11 standard. This research used 3 different scenarios for RAW parameters: Modifying the number of RAW Group, Modifying the number of RAW Slot, and Comparing 2 Datamode. The EDCA Parameters that used in this research were: Contention Window and Arbitrary inter-frame Spacing Number. The values that expected to be the output in this research are: Delay, Throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio, Availability, and Reliability. After the research has been simulated, the results are: First, the lowest of average delay was Ngroup = 1, the highest of PDR was Ngroup = Nsta/2, and the highest of Throughput was Ngroup = Nsta/2. Second, the lowest of average delay was RAW Slot = 6, the highest of PDR were RAW Slot = 3 and 4, and the highest of Throughput was RAW Slot = 4. Third, the lowest of average delay was Datamode 3,9 Mbps BW 2 MHz, the highest of PDR was Dat mode 3,9 Mbps BW 2 MHz, and the highest of Throughput was Datamode 3,9 Mbps BW 2 MHz. Reliability, Availability, and Energy Consumption also can be affected by modifying RAW parameters, in 802.11ah Energy Consumption can be reduced by increasing the number of RAW Stations and RAW Groups.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to simulate the GPSR protocol network on NS3 using the bird flocking algorithm and to analyze the comparison of performance measurements obtained from the simulation results. The Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing network was simulated using NS-3 in this simulation. The simulation area is created in length, width. The distance between nodes is 50 meters and is simulated in an area of 1000m x 300m for 30 seconds and 802.11 MAC protocol is used. This simulation was successfully implemented in finding the location of the nearest node using the GPSR protocol with the PSO / BFA algorithm. The number of nodes used in the simulation is 150 nodes and 2 nodes, so it can be concluded that the performance of Quality of Service (QoS) is greatly affected by the number of nodes and the algorithm used in the simulation.

Abstract

Several previous studies have proposed a temporal sequential-artificial neural network (TS-ANN) to convert PIR Sensor movement data into presence data and improve the performance of smart lighting control. However, such a temporal-sequential forecasting concept has a curse of dimensionality problem. This study aims to proposes the application of principal component analysis with TS-ANN (PCA-TS-ANN) as an intelligent method for controlling smart lighting with low dimensions. We have primary data directly from a smart lighting implementation that utilizes PIR sensors. We apply cross-correlation to the original dataset to find the optimum time step. Then we discover the optimum TS-ANN based on selected tuning parameter values through PCC. We then design and compare scenarios involving the combination of TS-ANN and PCA. Finally, we evaluate these scenarios using the metrics Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1− Score, and Delay. The results of this study are the PCA-TS-ANN model with Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1−Score value of 0.9993, 0.9997, 0.9994, and 0.9996 respectively. The PCA method reduces the TS-ANN features from 1200 features to 36 features. The model size has also decreased from 3534kB to 807kB. Our model has a simpler complexity with TS-ANN that the µ ± σ Delay is 0.27±0.06 ms versus 0.34±0.11 ms.
